I personally think that this is one of the reasons why they want to make Miss Universe here in the Philippines independent. Kudos to Sir Jonas, his team and to the candidates na ipinaglaban talaga kung ano sa tingin nila yung babagay sa kanila. Imagine wearing a gown tapos hindi mo gusto, how would you slay on that gown if at the first place, you don't like or you're not comfortable on wearing it. PERIOD

Pia’s journey in pageantry is not easy and smooth, but she is determined of what she wants and she was rewarded at the end.
It has been proven that their gowns of choice for the past filipina ladies before pia were actually the reasons behind their inability to get the crown.

The thing about pageants is, its truly in the eye of the beholder. Stella as the franchise holder of MU then had a specific view on what her titleholders had to look, but it didn't mean that her intentions were for them to lose. She simply needed to be educated and she was.
well since shes a national director she should have more consideration for the ideas each girl has and recommends.
Pia while tell her story she so adorable
because she is so natural. She doesnt try to be cute or sound too girlie like a 14 year old pageant girl from some state in the US. She doesn’t fake it.
I can just imagine how stressed Pia at that time but she still managed to deliver with grace and poise. And, still win!
I think it adds to their confidence when they get to choose what they wear, just like catriona, she designed her own gown, looks and everything. Confidence on point 🔥

See it wasn't MJ who started the filipino designer trend in MUP. It was Pia.
Where u get that stupid idea that MJ started the Pinoy made gown trend? FYI, Madam Stella made MJ a national laughing stock out of her chosen wardrobes in MU particularly the Barraza made National Costume & that controversial evening gown that could have save the Philippines' consecutive placement in MU top 5 if only MJ & KF insist on their personal choice gowns. So from Pia's mouth, she & Jonas already had an alternative plan regarding what to comfortably wear in the decisive evening gowns portion & that surely paid off.
