It’s not open G but Open D(flat since he is usually playing in Eb) so DADF#AD (flat the notes to get the exactly same sound that he has). He is the king
Well, in human history, sometimes, someone has to step up and kick some ass and set things back to what they should be. Hell, this guy's only began. There's a whole of 60 years ahead and I'm sure glad I'm going to live through it to.
Just saw him last week live. You have to go. You have to experience it. It's different and something you'll remember. This is real music with an edge to it. Play without a filter.
I don't know why people are complaining about the women in the background. This video really sums up the music scene. Here is a guy out there, burning his candle from both ends, channeling hardcore blues right out of the gates of hell and what do you get but a few drunk women in the background. Such a perfect image. All you musicians who are just out there for fame and glory - to make it big - take note. You better enjoy what you're doing because often you are the only one watching it.
Karamvir Bhagat haha! That Sunn cabinet is empty, we had a smoke machine in it, but because of the wind it was only coming out of the back. It totally looks like it’s on fire at the end!!
It might sound rough to you, but if that is the effect he's going for then how can you say its not the right way? People say that about Hendrix, his style and the wah wah pedal. Its about the vibe, you either dig it or not, and his is redonculous!
Karamvir Bhagat it sounds tough because this is the 3rd song he played and the generator in our motor home couldn’t produce enough power....it ended up completely failing.
I find it kinda funny how some people took such offense to my comment. I guess what I meant was that a starving musician which he is was reluctant to throw such a nice guitar down. Now if he were in say a band like The Who he could smash guitars all day long. I didn't claim to be awesome but then again my job isn't to play music his is. As far as authenticity I'm still on the fence about Reignwolf. I enjoy his music. Is he being sloppy on purpose or because he's great I don't know you decide.
Ok I'm gonna clear this up. You're confusing sloppy, with extremely high tempo/beat/rhythm whatever u wanna call it, because if this is "sloppy" to you, it's because you cant follow the music fast enough to stay into the groove man....his solos are INSANE, LIKE HENDRIXS AND VAN HALENS, professionally tabbed out, would take like 35 pages the solo alone, most entire albums tabbed out dont have that many pages. AND probably most important of all, ITS SO MUCH BETTER LIVE, sound quality wise, than ur shit phone speakers, they'll always add more distortion, and with his sound, if u have a good ear, you can hear through the heaviest distortion, but your average music listener, non musician, their not familiar with it. They couldn't tell you the difference between a snare beat and Tom, or even a fucking cymbal from a hi-hat
And so is your opinion. Loud or not, it is not a excuse for playing his instrument bad when actually he is capable to play many times better. If the point i missed is that he plays bad on purpose then i'm glad i missed it. Also LOUD doesn't equal good.
Most of these field recordings are really good songs. But this one was just not doing it. I bet he is a good musician but in this one the playing felt too sloppy and generally not very good. Some other videos i found of Reignwolf were definitely better.
Reignwolf developed from making badass new down to earth blues rock to just making noise....what the heck. Has Reignwolf flopped? researching new material of him shows too much poor noise.
He was experimenting with sounds he playing that close to an amp it's gonna be hard not to make a whole lot noise how he carved out notes being that close to an amp that loud is actually kid of impressive
what in the world happened to this guy.....?! I mean, fuck! He started with an impact compared to an astroid hitting the planet of Rock 'N' Roll - and then, vanished into just playing gigs all over the world with the same songs all over again, talking he's making an album for about 4 years now. What's wrong here? What does the management and Cook are thinking? And another question: Will a future full size album then include all the now "old" songs? How tremendously UNsatisfying would that be?! How come that it takes sooooooooooooooo long for an ultra-talented man like Cook, to put some 11 songs on a damn record?
@@lukashuettner because hes not playing this music because of, or for YOU specifically, if you cant tell, hes playing music because hes got something inside that, when you let it out, gives a high like no drug I've ever tried. (All of em)...except pcp, but I digress, my point? Hes playing for him, if you've never given everything you've got on stage it's very hard to understand. The high that is. I held back early on to, avoid arguments etc. But once we disbanded and I found a drummer who I could, have a, musical conversation with...well, we found out we had alot to "say" to each other and that project was much more successful. So I imagine hell always be playing live like this because it gives you a "high" like heroin, cocaine, and lsd all in one pill would. Indescribable.
Nickelback also claims to be rock and roll but we can all see and hear what they are. So i didn't really get the point you were trying to make. Rock and roll played sloppy and below his actual skills is bad rock and roll. Rock and roll was not about playing bad last time i checked.

11 years later and this never gets old.
i can just imagine him at a Tiny Desk Concert, trying so hard not to break anything.

I love that his camper has his name on it...lol.
Just saw him last week live. You have to go. You have to experience it. It's different and something you'll remember. This is real music with an edge to it. Play without a filter.
Nice Combo of Blues and Rock n ROLL Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELLS YEAH REIGNWOLF
I can't wait to see this dude live next time he does a show in Seattle again. Amazing.
One man with his voice, guitar, bass drum, no tuner and a broken string. That is how you do it!
I don't know why people are complaining about the women in the background. This video really sums up the music scene. Indeed
This is how I wish Jack White played all the time.
And the Black Keys.
Nuance is what make things great
fantastic recording.
He’s fucking amazing. And fucking gorgeous. I could cry.
even strings can't handle that kind of awesomeness
Even played through with a broken string! Fucking rock star !
This guy is so Rock n Roll
Mind - Blown
I didnt know wolverine can rock like that
Rock and Roll...sands the chaser.
So awesome that his amp caught fire by the end :P
Karamvir Bhagat haha! That Sunn cabinet is empty, we had a smoke machine in it, but because of the wind it was only coming out of the back. It totally looks like it’s on fire at the end!!
Those boots tie everything together.
Rock n Roll incarnate!
Breaking a string is an oldschool Paganini trick. The Reignwölf umlauts stare right back at you.
Whoever said Rock and Roll is dead?!
Dude you have no business listening to rock and roll, much less commenting on it. Reignwolf IS rock and roll. Epic.
It might sound rough to you, but if that is the effect he's going for then how can you say its not the right way? People say that about Hendrix, his style and the wah wah pedal. Its about the vibe, you either dig it or not, and his is redonculous!

Maybe, I need to learn this
Es realmente bueno! Si viene a España iré a verlo sin dudarlo.
This video just blew my brain......Literally I think I felt a fuse go. What the fuck happened to this kind of passion in music? You Reign Wolf!
For those who have been asking he's playing in open D
opening for sabbath in Hamilton.. W.T.F
Woah At the beginning I thought it was like this huge concert.
Wha did he break a f.n string? That rocks!
he nailed it - just check out a few more of his videos :D
badasss!!! loved it
Now that is how to play a guitar!
Good for Jordan. Big legged women are a big parts of the blues baby.
Pure beautiful MAGIC!!
I get what you mean, but I think that being stripped down gives a totally awesome raw vibe.
Woooo
Opened for Sabbath in Hellafux.
Whe is the album coming out?
Yasssss
Fish Girl at 2:41
Jon Snow's side job.
No, it's called ''eargasm''
Reignwolf style.
Reminds me of Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac.
Hey man you can't hate on the fans. I'd take whomever I can get when playing live.
The Hendrix comparison is super apt since some of those licks should seem really familiar.
Nobody present understood that this dude just did an end game rock performance. They shouldn't be clapping. They should be on their knees thanking.
Rocks like Jack White 12 years ago
I like how he "almost" throws his Gibson down on the ground but .... No.
You sir, posted the second best comment ever.
"I'm drunk and need attention!" -background girls
what tuning is he using for this?
is that Lucille?
Only, Reignwolf gets the girls, You don't.
Who needs a fucking stage? If he's gonna play in front of 10.000 people one day he'll do it from the top of his RV!
black pistol fire-2
Killer duo...but if I had to choose....Jordan is just too talented to pick bpf
broken string !!!!!
MORE REVERB! haha
...unless a video of what you did gets uploaded to TH-cam. :)
fucking epic
is there any possibility to become his wife ?
how exactly is this jibberish?
Fucking takes the broken string in his teeth to keep playin..bruh.. bruh.. bruuuuh!

7 years later he’s touring with The Who...
Open G
@2:41 I'm a lil mud skipper in the muddy water~
Who said that Gibson guitar headstocks are bad? 🤣
Probably open G.
And so is your opinion. Loud or not, it is not a excuse for playing his instrument bad when actually he is capable to play many times better. If the point i missed is that he plays bad on purpose then i'm glad i missed it. Also LOUD doesn't equal good.
Jack White Jibberish
What girls?
who needs all 6 strings anyways?
lol @ the white girls

One must allow for the fact that he was finishing a set at a major music festival, and was likely as high as giraffe pussy at the time. You weenie.
Get rid of the earring dude...
