Like said earlier in the comments, Devils and Isles have a totally different play style, so much that one of them that the games can easily become blowouts Where the team whose play style works better wins with big Numbers. Canes and Isles have very similar play styles that are both so defensive minded(+Sorokin) that there isn’t going to be that much goals which obviously makes games tighter and easier for the worse team to win(or Sorokin to win the game himself)

Um. He had already been in the league for three years at this point so very much not a rookie, and he played the next year (and subsequent years, just mostly on affiliate squads). Scott Stevens hit isn't even the hit that people attribute to his decline. It was the elbow to the face the following year that screwed up his vision.

Have to hand it to the Hurricanes. Decisive wins over the Devils who beat the Rangers with Shesterkin in net in seven. It's probably going to be Florida in the third round for the Hurricanes who I initially thought would win but Florida beat Boston so anything is possible. Honestly, glad to see the Devils go down...pun intended.
Boys overachieved this year, didn't get shutout or swept, and (the most important part) kept the Rags from winning. I'm happy with that, and with how the team is set going forward.

Ik people may think I am trashing New Jersey (Rangers fan here), but this ain't the case. I have to give them a lot of credit for leaving it all out there on the ice tonight. Very unfortunate how their season ended like this (I am very familiar with this feeling of watching your team lose a playoff OT game). But they have one bright future of what they accomplished this year. Wouldn't surprise me if they get back to the 2nd round of the playoffs next year depending how their season in 2023-24 unfolds.

Congrats to all the Ex-Rangers moving on to the conference finals. As a Ranger fan, this really warms my heart, almost as much as when the Lightning did it. Can't wait for John Davidson to hoist the cup in a couple of years.
Ik people may think I am trashing New Jersey (Rangers fan here), but this ain't the case. I have to give them a lot of credit for leaving it all out there on the ice tonight. Very unfortunate how their season ended like this (I am very familiar with this feeling of watching your team lose a playoff OT game). But they have one bright future of what they accomplished this year. Wouldn't surprise me if they get back to the 2nd round of the playoffs next year depending how their season in 2023-24 unfolds.
What makes you think they'll have the same team to pull that off? Nothing is consistent in hockey...

Я не помню чтобы заведомый аутсайдер безнадёжно уступая в серии записному лидеру, которому чуть ли не заранее кубок вручили, вдруг вырвал победу, да вдобавок, по инерции, отодрал в 3-х матчах кряду следующего претендента. Хотелось бы чтобы Флорида взяла кубок. Они его по настоящему заслужили. Вот только хватит ли у парней сил?
Жаль, что Джерси вылетели, очень симпатичная команда. Конечно на кубок пока рано претендовать, но в целом достойно выступили в этом сезоне.
Вратарь - это в плей-офф полкоманды. Тампа подтвердит. Успехов каролине, но она уже выше головы прыгнула.....
