At last after watching your videos a couple of times and reading a lot of forums I managed to connect to my broker. I was struggling because Logo Soft Comfort gave me constantly an error message, because it was unable to connect. I was looking for a "Client ID" but you just can fill that in with something you want. Now I get it. On to the next part, make Home Assistant work together with the Logo ;) Edit: The strange thing is that I don't see a value in the "Cloud Data Transfer Settings" it's empty.

Hi my friend congratulations for this excelent video, I have a problem, i have the Logo 8.4, I see my ipv4 on windows and my PLC is in the same subred, but after make all the steps that you show to connect with mosquitto, doesn't connect, only I see connecting and after that show me a message "server connection error" maybe do you know what i have to do?
Thank you for your comment. Do you see the connection error? On LOGO side or on the MQTT client? You need to make sure your Mosquitto settings match what you enter in LOGO configs. If you have a username and password on the Mosquitto broker, you need to let LOGO know to connect!
Hello, LOGO can be a MQTT client. It cannot be an MQTT broker. So if you have an MQTT broker, LOGO can publish or subscribe to data on the broker. It can also be connected to Homeassistant as an MQTT sensor, etc. with JSON payload
Unfortunately, not yet. But there might be an unofficial way. For now, MQTT and email seems to be the best way to work with events. For sure middleware can be used too.

I would like to see how you connect one LOGO 8.4 to another LOGO 8.4 over MQTT. I can so far publish ONE LOGO to the broker, but I can´t subscribe a second LOGO 8.4 to the topic, because some kind of json string is required to publish to the subscriber.
Hi Artur. I have not tested two LOGOs communication over MQTT but you don't need to handle any JSON. You just need to define the same topics name in both LOGOs and map a certain memory area within the pub/sub. I'll create another video for it.

Hello, I only use RPI for lab tests. In production, I use IPCs or SBCs like Siemens IoT2050, Advantech mini PCs, etc. But I've been using RPIs for years. They normally work fine but their SD card and power supply sometimes fail. Using SSD drives instead of SD cards and a reliable power supply helps.

Sure you can. Facebook messenger app is a good example that mostly uses MQTT for communications.
