just bought the Stormbox a few days AG for $155 and it sounds incredible for the price. I was originally looking for just a decent shower speaker and after some research purchased the Bose Soundlink Flex for $150, never opened it, did a little more research...found the tribit was waterproof and could not be happier.
Considering the Tribit’s LED lights, half the price compared to Boombox 2, almost the same sound profile, Punchy bass, I can say this speaker deserves my money. LOL. Just ordered this online today. 🔥🔥🔥

I agree I have two W-King T11 sound great together or by themselves and no clipping. I have the Jbl boombox and if I boost the bass they clip but sounds a little better
With Oluv's EQ it will sound more musical and in default tuning it already sounds more mellow than BB2 with the custom settings the speaker will blow the JBL away...its just a fact!!
I mean the difference is pretty noticeable? But doing deep bass is not everything right.. if you've watched the recent video on Oluv's Gadgets on the Blast you will come to realize with the user EQ tweaked it has a much better soundstage and dispersion than the BB2. For some people who want a loud speaker or boombox that does deep bass with more balanced mids & highs they will pick the Blast over the BB2 without a second thought.
I’d rather have a good clean full sound with a smidge of deep bass than the other way around. Sadly that’s not the consensus. I’ll watch that Oluv vid now. That’s for the heads up
Am listening this on my JBL boombox 2 and the different is that the JBL has more low bass then the other and more middle sound The Tribit has bass too! But the range is like 70-100hz not that low as JBL, but the tweeters sound more clearly So this what I think
The JBL Boombox 2 is on sale for $299 where I live, but its not a given buy when the Boombox 3 is in the pipeline. The design is changed alot from 2 to 3, but it's unclear if it's for the better in all regards. I think the new design requires & draws more Power than the older, other than that sonics should be an improvement.
Great Video and yes, I definitely want those two compared against outdoors, as bass and highs sound different there, and both can't use an vibrating room to boost their bass anymore.

These bad boys are portable speakers. What can you expect soundwise? They are not hi-fi profile. But still the sound is awesome. Easy to carry on and perfect for basketball court.

Can you compare the max spl between blast and 2 soundcore motion boom using the eq app for push mids/highs? I'm 100% 2 motion boom are at least 2 db louder than the Tribit
I really believe that the boombox 3 will be close to the 2,because of that woofer.I still don't like the ideea of 45hz for outdoors,where the kick is the king,but yeah.ANyhow,great treble isn't in many speakers as Willington.Many speakers just have big oomph, but forget the treble, and they dostuff like with the partybox 100 which has quite a bad treble quality,very peaky:/ . One exception of this is the b&o beoplay p2 which doesn't have that much bass because of the size, but the treble is quite nice and sparkling. I think you should try to e the blast,because the stock sound is a bit weird.With the eq, it can be the best spkear.And also, the choice is simple,just get the tribit. Also,the boombox 3. Let's remember the first jbl xtreme. Back then it was amazing, because the competition wass kinda small. 3 years later, they come with the xtreme 2, which is not xtreme anymore with less power only for the good of the battery. The new xtreme 3 is just the same.More forced bass and very very harsh sound to appear louder. So,Iexpect the boombox 3 to be a small improvement in bass and: 1. A downgrade in treble,becaus they puch 5-6 kHz 2. A improvement with sweeter treble and more definition. Other than that the boombox 2 sound quite nice,but: 1. The bass sounds like that AC noise somehow 2. Jbl quality of sound is only a little fine and sharper but it's a close sound contest. Given the cheaper price of stormbox with little difference only in quality of sound it's a good buy product.

It is a 3 way system. It will have more mids and balanced sound. I don't know if it has more bass. But it will have a 3-way-system. The boombobx 2 has 2 big woofers. The boombox 3 will have 1 bigger woffer and 2 small nid woofers with 2 tweeters
@@mxz2024 yes I get it that it's a 3 way system but JBL could have easily made the boombox 3 with 2 woofers and 2 tweeters also but instead they put a separate bass subwoofer in it so the 2 woofers can focus on the mids more than bb2 woofers. I'm not sure if any sound is coming out of the subwoofer besides the bass.

Now it will have more balanced sound but no additional bass. Maybe more separated clearer bass but not much more power in bass. Maybe also like 1-4hz deeper, but won't be much, since the boombox 3 is not really bigger and that 1 woofer alone can't be too crazy. But let s see - i will be happy if it is more balanced.. Dont need more bass, the boombox 2 already had enough bass but the problem was always the mids and highs

You should check what issue's from the Boombox 2 is, some people complain about the bass roll off about 60% above volume the mids and highs will increase to become lowder, but the bass limit in the 60% also the kick didisappearing at 80% volume is a deal breaker it can slight fix this by Plugged in, but still not enough kick bass power. Also in stock firmware version, other people it complain about the loudness, check oluvs gadget, the boombox 2 will struggling in volume Outdoors that limiting issue at higher volumes, also in indoor, the Frequencies become very bright at higher volumes cauzing the highs to earpiercing indoors. Boombox 2 doesn't give bass bitton so you can't control that very low bass, that can vibrates everything and can rattle some walls and cabs, also it can shake the camera. Really horrible deep bass in lower volumes also lack abit of bass Punch
I would like to point out that if you remove the grill on the ue hyperboom it sounds incredible that’s my portable bassgasm speaker tone of excursion and couldn’t ask for much better sound signature crisp highs and wall thumping bass
I have the Tribit and the hyperboom. I wouldn't even waste my money on the JBL. I actually got my hyperboom brand new for $250 so I couldn't pass that up

4 out of six of my JBL Bluetooth speakers I purchased 3 years ago don't work! The batteries won't hold a charge. Worst part is the speaker won't work even when plugged in. JBL never again!

Yeah .. for me I think the punchy mid-upper bass and More treble on the Tribit is going to be more useful outdoors than the dark sound of JBL

The only thing the jbl had on the tribit was the bass was just wider compared to tribit's tighter bass. Other than that tribit wins.

The BB2 has a one peak note bass, the Blast has more overall bass. Outdoors, that one peak note bass isnt going to do jack shit.

I really can't tell a difference on the 100 volume performance. Both sound the same. Also I think having the lights is a good touch.

On outdoor not only kick is the king. Meyer sound is not fool to make pro grade speaker model only for low bass lol

Jbl quality of sound is only a little fine and sharper but it's a close sound contest. Given the cheaper price of stormbox with little difference only in quality of sound it's a good buy product.

To my ears, the JBL had smoother highs and more pronounced midrange. Not sure that's worth the extra $ though.
i just orderd the blast. i already have the boom plus? but all out? the blast is better bass. heck outside? my sony xg500 with new firmware is louder soundstage outside. a i didnt use a bineral mic. good review dlx.
Do you think XG500 is better than this? Debating between the two. The demo models at store may not have the firmware update.
@@AxemanMessiah absolutley better!! i was going to get rid of it! but not now!!! highs, mids, bass, fixed no app equalizer needed. take em outside and blast!!! sony firmware 7600 on sony music center, just make sure the xg500 is plugged into the wall!! takes about 10 mins. then enjoy!!!

Boombox is best bass compare to tribit but 2 storm box is 1 of boombox not bad in bass good choice for tribit
The boombox 3 must have more and deeper bass if JBL decided to put a separate subwoofer in it.
It is a 3 way system. It will have more mids and balanced sound. I don't know if it has more bass. But it will have a 3-way-system. The boombobx 2 has 2 big woofers. The boombox 3 will have 1 bigger woffer and 2 small nid woofers with 2 tweeters
@@mxz2024 yes I get it that it's a 3 way system but JBL could have easily made the boombox 3 with 2 woofers and 2 tweeters also but instead they put a separate bass subwoofer in it so the 2 woofers can focus on the mids more than bb2 woofers. I'm not sure if any sound is coming out of the subwoofer besides the bass.
@@estonianbot5383 yea but that's why yi think it will not have much more bass since on the boombox 2, the 2 woofers mainly handled bass.. There were not s lot mids...
Now it will have more balanced sound but no additional bass. Maybe more separated clearer bass but not much more power in bass. Maybe also like 1-4hz deeper, but won't be much, since the boombox 3 is not really bigger and that 1 woofer alone can't be too crazy.
But let s see - i will be happy if it is more balanced.. Dont need more bass, the boombox 2 already had enough bass but the problem was always the mids and highs
@@mxz2024 yea agreed. I hope the drivers being smaller won't affect the loudness of it if it's tuned right. Maybe they aren't smaller but looked like Xtreme 3 zised on the picture
You should check what issue's from the Boombox 2 is, some people complain about the bass roll off about 60% above volume the mids and highs will increase to become lowder, but the bass limit in the 60% also the kick didisappearing at 80% volume is a deal breaker it can slight fix this by Plugged in, but still not enough kick bass power. Also in stock firmware version, other people it complain about the loudness, check oluvs gadget, the boombox 2 will struggling in volume Outdoors that limiting issue at higher volumes, also in indoor, the Frequencies become very bright at higher volumes cauzing the highs to earpiercing indoors. Boombox 2 doesn't give bass bitton so you can't control that very low bass, that can vibrates everything and can rattle some walls and cabs, also it can shake the camera. Really horrible deep bass in lower volumes also lack abit of bass Punch

I would like to point out that if you remove the grill on the ue hyperboom it sounds incredible that’s my portable bassgasm speaker tone of excursion and couldn’t ask for much better sound signature crisp highs and wall thumping bass
I have the Tribit and the hyperboom. I wouldn't even waste my money on the JBL. I actually got my hyperboom brand new for $250 so I couldn't pass that up

@@Creakytomcat333 the hyperboom has fuller bass but on certain songs the tribit was even with it but overall the hyperboom wins that battle. I have every size tribit all the way up to the stormbox and I love them all.

It's pretty unfair to put the lg cj45 against the pb710 or 1000 the lg cm9530 and cm9520 or lg's xboom pro line up would be better if you can find them

4 out of six of my JBL Bluetooth speakers I purchased 3 years ago don't work! The batteries won't hold a charge. Worst part is the speaker won't work even when plugged in. JBL never again!

JBL is still the bass King! But for sound clarity its Tribit, and best of all tribit is super much cheaper than jbl!

For the price the boombox 2 is going now 18 november it's just 260 euro for me i rather have the boombox
