Rebecca stated that she doesn’t want to end Steven Universe as a whole anytime soon, but Future is only be one season because Zach Callison is taking a break so after his break is over Rebecca will probably get all the actors together again and start scripting recording producing etc a new sequel show likely after another time skip. @@Blue_910 true but it would be understandable at the end of any series i want to see an epic battle this show did not have it or a extremely sad ending not to me but alot to other people it was sad i wanted to see what white diamond saw and if she was to get corrupted by steven everybody is dead no question or the diamonds fusion against steven I JUST WANT ONE FIGHT AN ACTUAL FIGHT NOT SOME LOVE IS THE BEST WEAPON BULLSHIT
Did you notice that when the gems eat the cookie cats they eat the ears first which is a callback to “gem glow” when Steven says “I like to eat the ears first”

“I Am My Monster” hit home for me. I was crying like a baby. I felt what Steven was feeling throughout Future, being scared to be vulnerable. It’s hard to tell other people what you really feel because you fear being rejected. I am happy with how this historical show ended.
I know exactly how Steven felt during a meltdown, it's a dangerous thing. I had on myself during my first few months with college because got so overwhelmed with schoolwork, financial problems, and missing family and my husband was really hard to handle. Had one a few months ago tbh, just different circumstances but just as painful. Sometimes you don't realize what's happening before it already happened

Steven’s Breakdown at the end of “Everything’s Fine.” Really shook me.
I like how Rebecca created such a relatable character. I feel very similar to Steven. I often feel like all my friends are leaving me, and it's really difficult for me to open up about my feelings. I know for a fact, that I put on this mask that everything's okay, when it's not. it's extremely difficult when everyone expects you to be happy because you've always been happy, and then one day you wake up and you're just not anymore. Sometimes I feel like I give so much love to everyone else, and one day I'm not going to have enough left for myself. I wish I had a support system like him. I've tried letting my mom and some friends Know how I feel, but they just ignore me. This show does encourage me to be optimistic and it really helps with identifying my own feeling. I hope it helps everyone else as well.

My theory for why Steven is so strong is that, since his gem doesn't have to make his physical form, like it does with all other Gems, he has that extra energy to use

GUYS was I the only one who noticed that when he says “I’m FINE” and the window cracks, it’s a parallel to Volleyball? Like everyone probably noticed it but I haven’t heard ANYONE talk about it?
Hauntingly Hungry this was mostly addressed in the episode where she was named volleyball and her and pearl fused. He was becoming his mother but now he’s his own person

I had a mother who was abusive and taught me every thing is my fault, so I have a toxic mindset where I need to help all my friends feel better even at the cost of my happiness, and I honestly do hate myself. There isn't any one reason, but I feel like a fraud, a monster, a screwup, that everything is wrong with me and I should be dead so I can stop stressing my family.
But I'm not strong enough to take my own life, or put a knife to my skin. So the loathing festers and creates evil thoughts within my head that beat my self-esteem and worth into the ground.
But uh, yeah. Where I am is where Steven was in Everything's Fine and I Am My Monster, except I can't go kaiju and show my family that I need some love, communication, and support. And I don't have a therapist, tried one for a while, but...it didn't stick.
That moment when Connie asks Steven "you didnt tell them?", after she suggests they get Steven back to the hospital in Everything's fine, really reminds me of when steven asked connie in the hospital "you didn't tell your mum?!"

One of the things I’d like to point out is how just like his mother Steven avoids his problems and runs away from them. They both have had incredible outbursts of anger and hurt other unintentionally hurt other gems. They sweep it under the rug and avoid letting others know to prevent worry and further problems, which in both cases doesn’t work. And the more Steven tries to avoid being his mother the more he becomes her, physically and mentally. What I loved about this season.
This, this actually makes me wonder if pink diamond also had a corruption moment and that's why she changed. And maybe just maybe, that's why pearl was reset three times already.
Except pink didn't run from her problems. She did everything she could to change things but its not her fault she was from an abusive family made up of space Hitlers. The last 3 episodes of this show really hit home for me because not only was it sad but it just goes to show that Steven was carrying everyone’s burden. He wanted to make sure everyone else was okay but I don’t think anyone he tried to help with the exception of possibly Connie and Greg put his feelings before their own.

Speaking of spinoffs, I've actually had a few ideas for potential spinoff shows. Firstly, a Lars of The Stars-inspired spinoff, centered around - as the inspiration implies - Lars and the Off-Colours on their adventures in space. Alternatively, we could have a slice-of-life spinoff set on Homeworld in Era 3, either focused around Spinel and the diamonds or entirely new gems we haven't seen before. Alternatively we could see a spinoff focused around the gems running Little Homeschool - and Greg, who I can imagine taking up a job in teaching components of normal human life to gems in attendance - teaching gems and adjusting to life without Steven being around.

This show was the best and I’m so glad Steven got a therapist and Steven and Connie worked things out and got together. The future definitely hit my heart with Steven giving away his childhood things to each of the gems like the ukulele which was in apart of the show throughout. It's insane to think how, all at the same time, Steven essentially suffered with ALL the problems that he helped everyone with. Keeping secrets, struggling to accept oneself, struggling to connect both parts of his identity, struggling with regret, and so much more.
