If it's food and at Disney it goes in my mouth regardless lol. So excited for Food and Wine this November
Getting stuffed to bursting and then going on some rides = bad idea.
If you're not traveling solo, SPLIT MEALS. It takes ability to compromise but, you're probably going to need that during the trip anyways. :)
If you ARE traveling solo, probably don't split meals.... 😑
@@richardmercer2337 I dunno, food makes friends right? :D
Definitely would work at a quick service and without the dining plan, but the prix fix and family style dinners unfortunately will not.
For me, I decided I have to plan a sit-down restaurant at least once per day for this reason: The first time I went, I spent my first day at Epcot and ate around the festival booths instead of sitting down. I was fine, since it was day one - but then my second-day reservation wasn't until 8pm at Magic Kingdom and I was going to Animal Kingdom first. After nearly two entire days of go-go-going, by the time I made it to dinner I was genuinely concerned I wouldn't physically be able to get out again! Now I know I need to enforce an hour's rest sitting down in the AC, because I can't be trusted to sit and wait that long doing nothing.
Agree , one sit down meal a day.
5:39 A wild Kitra and Peter appear!
I knew that was them. I was like heyyyyy
I’d suggest, if you’re doing WDW as a solo traveler, give ‘Ohana a pass. They bring out TONS of food, very quickly, and unless you’re a competitive eater you won’t be able to eat all of it. Wait until you do the World with friends to go.
Here in Epcot for first day of food and wine. Hope to see you there
Disney food is addictive. Especially the hot pretzels and dole whips.
I pack a box of uncrustables (the PBJ sandwiches) I NEED one every day and it's cheaper to pack than buy them there.
I’ve often heard that Disney’s pizza is some of the worst in America, with the only passable options being found at Via Napoli in Epcot and Trattoria Al Forno at the Boardwalk.
Everything else should be avoided.
How dare you besmirch the name of my local Peter piper pizza! They clearly hold the title of worst pizza. 😂 but seriously Disney pizza isn’t very good.
Via Napoli is the best.
It's really not that bad if your looking for something quick and easy, so you can enjoy the amenities of the park. Always nice to have a nice sit down meal, but I usually do this after the parks now as 2 hours in a restaurant is just too long when tickets are so expensive!
some of the restaurants have good pizza but the room service pizza is abysmal, i’d rather eat crackers for dinner and have before, lol
That's exactly how WE ended up at Sunset Ranch Market. I'm so happy our next trip is going to be filled with such good food thanks to you guys.
On our second trip, we decided to plan lunch in AC location. It could be table service or quick service, but out of the heat. It was the best decision that we make. Only exception was in AK, because we didn't want to eat in Pandora at lunch, too many people. So, we went to Flame Tree BBQ, found a table beside the lake and we enjoy the kite show in the shadow of the trees. Perfect! Planning is everything!
That’s the advantage of living in Florida you can bring your own snacks
Hey AJ...Hurry up with The EPCOT Food & Wine dining guide! I pre-ordered mine!🥰
I never do the overpriced, too much food restaurants. Always quick service which is just enough and priced right.
We love to have one sit down per day. That doubles as cool down and rest and we are refreshed and ready to go again. And a shared meal or appetizer instead of entree can go a long way to help with the cost. Get water with lemon and orange slices to drink. You need the water anyway. It elevated the trip a ton.
Excellent info as always. Thanks for sharing.
So for the burgers, did any of the topping bars return after covid? THOSE toppings bars were a lifesaver.
10:16 this meal. Where is this from? Looks like a poke bowl with black noodles. It looks delicious.
Ocean Moon Bowl. Found it.
About the burgers, I’m shocked she didn’t mention the bison cheeseburger from Geyser Point. The double cheeseburger at D-Luxe Burger was a stepped up version of the one at Steak n’ Shake.
Thank you for some more golden nuggets of information, AJ! Thanks for providing us with that handy qr code, too. There are so many great options of meal planning that you have shared with us. Including the "prepackaged" food to add in our park bags. We will have to agree with you about the travel time. We hardly get to dine in a restaurant when we are visiting the parks. There is so much to do, that we skip the dining. I noticed in the Round Up restaurant, a wheel of sausage, that looks like a very popular Italian sausage that originates in Bari, Italy, called Barese sausage. We definitely need to check that out! Everything that you mention makes so much sense. And, again.. THANK YOU, for everything that you do to keep us informed, and helping us out. Have a magical day, my friend!💖💖🥇🥇👑👑
I’ll be in Disneyworld in a couple weeks I’m so exited!
Thank you for these videos 😊
So exicted to go to Food and Wine tomorrow.
I love your honesty, great videos!
Would love to have you review the breakfast semi-buffet deal at Ale & Compass Restaurant; looks like a fantastic value!
Thank you AJ for this video❤
thanks for featuring veggie options too! love your videos.
Thanks for the heads up, AJ. Safety first! 😄 It's essential to know what not to eat to avoid any food-related mishaps during our Disney adventures. Can't wait to learn more tips and tricks to have a magical and delicious experience in the parks!
Love to hear all about Disney World
Thanks
Patti
I’m honestly still thinking about the overnight oats I had in animal kingdom and a delicious fruit/parfait plate at the Grand Floridian Cafe. The cheeseburger spring rolls were also a favorite as well as Mr. Kumal’s seasoned fries. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Pongu Lumpia but everything else we had was great!
The thing it, this is what you say, but it might not be the same for everyone. Some of the things look good.
@@sodorflubbs5000 yes, this is my personal opinion. I didn’t think I needed to clarify that.
I swear to god I've tried to find recipes to replicate the vegan overnight oats at All-Star Music. YUM. So sticky and thick and perfect.
"...without major hiccups..." -- totally ironic AJ!
Thank you for all of these tips AJ. Me and my fiance are going in October for our 3yr anniversary and our engagement. This will be my first time going to Disney World and first time going to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. I am beyond happy. I have been keeping up with your video's and I've been taking notes so that I can be prepared. Your video's are very helpful.
I would never think of going to a restaurant at a resort I am not staying at on a park day! Having to shuttle hop to a park to get to a diner would drive me mad.
When is the new DDP guide expected to release? I'm eager to get my hands on it for my trip in January.
5:35 @ordinaryadventures in this clip 😁
I had a coworker who had the DDP and I'm guessing she had extra snack credits left because she brought me back a rice crispy treat as a thank you for covering her desk during her vacation. It was definitely a very appreciated thank you!
That's a good coworker!
5:28 a wild Kevin Heimbach appears 😅
Have you ever done a video of all the Michelin Guide and the one Michelin Star restaurants in Disney World. That would be cool.
One month until we arrive. Can’t wait. We do plan a sit down dinner every day. It gives us a chance to relax, cool off, and enjoy the food. I do bring snacks along from home to enjoy after long day at resort.
11:53. "...Festival of the Arts, as you know we call FArts." 😂😂😂 I love you, A.J.! You are rare and special: an American woman with a sense of humour!
I'm so happy the dining plan is coming back. Definitely going in 2024..it will be 10 years in March and I've been going through cancer treatments so it's much needed now
20:15 Who else thought of Breedlove from AllEars?
Eye spy Ordinary adventures!
Maybe a plant based video this year 🙈 Thanks for all your hard work.
I usually go shopping at Winne Dixie on my first day to stock up on food items for breakfast and lunch as well as sometimes for dinner and snacks. It saves money and makes it feel more like home. Great video as always.
My recommendation for a big don't is Dole Whip. I don't know why, but for some reason the combination of pineapple and dairy tastes incredibly bitter to me. Either one on its own is fine, but combined it's like sucking on old gym socks. I can't be the only one. Much like some people think broccoli is bitter, or cilantro tastes like soap.
I think the best "do" is to keep in mind your usual preferences. It's easy to get carried away with hype, but think about when you like to have sit down meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Are you going to get annoyed that you paid so much for a character meal or feel like you got a bargain because of how much you ate? Do you feel sick after having french fries at every meal or having to eat outside in the heat? Check to make sure that your food plan fits with what would normally work for you.
The food doesn't do much for me at Disney. It's food. Nothing exciting. (Except those cheeseburger egg rolls. YUM!)
I’ve tried the cheeseburger rolls multiple times, because of this channel, and they ARE NOT GOOD. There are plenty of table service restaurants that are really good, way more to be excited about than gas station quality cheeseburger spring rolls.
@@IstoleYourMultipass 🤷🏼♀️ To each their own. I really liked them.
When I went to Disney world with my school we went to pizza planet, and with a name like that you’d think it was amazing! It was the second worst pizza I’ve ever had (the worst being one was ordered in our hotel totally get those florida pizza jokes) and I was so upset I wanted money on that.
if you have a hard time finishing big meals, I always bring ziploc baggies for my leftovers :p
"Some foods at Disney might be overpriced?" You're kidding right? My wife always carried a big purse full of snacks for the kids. We'd grudgingly splurge for lunch at the park, but mitigate that with a far less expensive Chinese dinner buffet afterwards in Kissimmee. My mother didn't raise no fools!
Is that @OrdinaryAdventures sitting at the table at 5:37?
Hi
Has anyone found watermelon dole whip this summer if so where please?
Bringing my own snacks isn’t feasible given I fly not drive. DFB I am happy with paying at the resort for the convenience thank you. Prix fix menus were necessary given all those who just want to have coffee and split a dessert to enjoy the ambiance, thank you social media for making that trick popular.
😊
What food was that at 15:55 ?
Haven't been to California grill since and wont be
AJ you sadden me, I love Sunset Ranch Market :( I was always a picky eater and always preferred the food there, same like my dad. They'd drop the two of us off there so we can eat what we wanted, and then the rest of the family would split to something else.
I spotted ordinary adventures
Here’s what to expect from DDP: You over-pay for what some seem to consider “more convenient.” Only in America.
Seriously, it's so hot while you are in the park, it's surprising that the majority of the meals are all greasy, heavy and very non healthy. Tons of cheeses and sauces that most people that are over 13 really don't want.
Disney needs to have more gluten free foods n snacks for us that have celiacs 😊
I remember when Disney burgers were gross. They've come a long way!
I"m hoping that there will be DDP snacks that are on the credits; would be...interesting if the snacks over 6$ are suddenly not eligible...
First off, I love this channel. It's upbeat, positive, informational, all the things. But, please, do a video about why people are turning their backs on Disney. Ask for honest opinions about why long-time fans who have been to the parks dozens of times are staying home or going to other vacation destinations. Ask them why they think the magic is gone, why they stay away because they don't want their memories tarnished. All the news I see on any other channel devoted to Disney is bad news. The movies are tanking. This is not good! We're going to the parks in November, and for the first time, I'm not really looking forward to it.. I'm going because other members of my family want to go, and I hope we have a great time, but I'm worried. I know that there are other places to discuss the troubles plaguing Disney right now, but I value your opinion.. Go back and listen to the speech Walt Disney made on opening day at Disneyland. That's what we want. That's what we miss.
I'll just bring my own food 😤
Lame
Places to *avoid:* (1) Any restaurant with that scam "family dining" set-up (including A.J.'s favorite, Garden Grill); (2) Any of those trendy "theme meals" like Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest and Space 220; (3) Overpriced fine dining like Topolino's Terrace and California Grill; and (4) Those ridiculous Disney snacks, unless there is one that you particularly want (they are all a ripoff). Bring your own drinks and snacks to hold you over between meals. *Do* eat at one of the buffets (good value for money), quick service eateries, or more modest restaurants.
Breakfast buffets can hold you over for a long time, so fill up there
Everything is overpriced in the park, that is the point
Add those egg rolls everyone raves about next to Club 33, nastiest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth and I ate MRE’s for 8 months straight deployed yes even the gross ones. And now I don’t trust any of y’all’s tastebuds, especially TH-camrs.
Which flavour was the eggrolls?
You just made me laugh out loud. 😂 I do like the cheeseburger rolls but haven’t loved most of the new ones they roll out.
