you got the official soundtrack dlc? it should give it to you on any map if you should have it or get it later at least as long as it was made by Simon Vilklund and thus there is no truble with copyright.
Pretty sure the way the transitions between segments (in Murky Station) in-game work is this: Stealth 1 (0:00): Before you enter the main station. The underground does NOT count. Stealth 2 (0:42): After having entered the station Stealth 3 (1:42): After having opened a Murkywater train cart. Stealth 4 (2:40): After having bagged one EMP part. Point of no return (7:20): Once the alarm is triggered, of course.
Let me tell you, with Very Hard Murky Station being my first successful stealth heist? This music really gave me... _a pulse._ Weaving through camera drones and PMC's who are better equipped than me, while searching everywhere for tools to open their secure trains was a new feeling, because I've only ever completed heists on Loud. I even did it again on Normal to get the Cloaker-san mask soon after.
Murky Station feels off to me, like it truly feels like you're not suppose to be there despite it being just being another place to steal from the Murkys
This level is my love. She and I make sweet music together every night on Deathwish, just her and I. I fucking love trainyards and scary paramilitary security guards. This level really does just have EVERYTHING I could ever want.
My first stealth mission was solo swiping the EMP out of Murky Station. Took me probably a dozen or so attempts to learn the actual ins and outs of stealthing beyond what the tutorials show you, as well as trying various groupings of guards to neutralize, before I finally had a run where I'd cracked 3 of the Murky Cars, had both nuke parts, both guns from underground, and all 6 guns from one of the train cars, with everything but one nuke part loaded up so I could leave whenever but not accidentally walk into the extraction zone. Then I got greedy. I wanted that fourth car and her precious guns. I cracked it, I cut through the bars securing the guns, and I got two out. As I was leaving with the third, I turned a corner smack into my fifth guard of the run. I shot him on instinct, then proudly recalled what to do next: panic while the radio operator asks me to respond, slap my EMC down as quickly as possible, grab whatever crap I can run with while hauling, and beat cheeks. As I near the front fence (Van extraction) the alarm kicks, the music goes into buildup, and that terrifying flashing "0:30 SECONDS UNTIL POINT OF NO RETURN" starts elevating my anxiety in the corner. Tear tuckus up the ladders, run my fresh loot and the other two from earlier up that last stairwell, yeet the nuke part into the van at 0:02, and hear Dallas's exit quip overlaying the last measure of the song. Felt amazing, 3/10 hate Murkywater Station.
However much I may hate stealth, murky station has to be my favorite heist to stealth through, by far. The intense music paired with constant surveillance leads to a more scary and methodical heist, rather than just repeatedly running around like a madman like most other stealth missions
One of the most beautiful pieces of music in Payday2, too bad you can only hear it in the Murkywater station... it would have been cool if you could put it like the other pieces of music for example in Pyromaniacs, Bank etc.
I have PTSD over this mission now. I was playing with my friend and we got all the bomb parts and he said "Hey lets go get the spare cash yeah?" so we did. I got spotted by a camera and we got busted just inches away from the van.
Nah, just my own edit, because I wanted to make something different to make it seem more "official" or similary stupid reason.
