Lovely! Filmed in 1986 in front of a Japanese audience and here we are today, in 2022 and people from all over the world are still watching and commenting! Hold your head up!
Ha ha, thats japanese audience for you. Check Ozzy Osbournes live in boudukan: middle aged men in suit trousers and dress shirts, standing orderly in rows :)
I was lucky to be in my 20's in the 1980's so many more diverse bands and artists that catered for almost everybody IMO the 80's were the best era ...on another note there were more camp/gay songs and bands to get even straight people going and although being gay now-a-days is much more accepted there are next to none now where have they gone?
I was interested as well (for other reasons) And I've done some digging. Apparently, this clip is from a 1987 Eurythmics Documentary called 'Brand New Day' which is INCREDIBLY rare. Couldnt find it myself. Good thing this song was uploaded tho, looks so good in film!
Yes, there used to be more of this single camera shot concert in japan. I do remember "Here comes the rain again", which was even better, than the clip thats here on youtube from same tour
@@shibbujoseph i think variations/improvisation on toccata e fuga, it's a long composition, i don't remember all part since I don't listen this for many years.
Nothing like Queen Lennox and the Eurythmics. Such scintillating power, dramatics, beauty, talent.
And it's so true,76 millions did vote to get abused and they all will be!
Whar a voice, and presence. Dave was a genius. This version has it all. Love the horns, and the riff
This is the best version of this song ever

Stunning version of the whole band !!!!!!!!!!!1
The energy on that stage when Annie and Dave perform is what made the Eurythmics

the difference between other bands and eurythmics is that other bands barely let the audience sing, this one was like 4 audience sings in 5 mins

Annie Lennox bad to the bone one of the greatest singers ever

One of the excellent bands of the 1980s.
I absolutely love her strength.
The audience's emotional fireworks remind me of movies made of/by Aki Kaurismäki

Are there videos of other parts of this concert?
Yes, there used to be more of this single camera shot concert in japan. I do remember "Here comes the rain again", which was even better, than the clip thats here on youtube from same tour
Hey, can you tell that they really like Fritz Lang's movie Metropolis?
At the beginning, the white shirt musician is just a projected video?
@Davestewarteurythmics wow, Thank you Dave.🌹🙏
일본은 80년대부터 끝판왕을 만났네
90년대부터는 음악으로 안들릴듯

그래도 이때는 일본 젊은이 호응이 있었네
whats that intro music ?
Toccata e fuga - J. S. Bach
@@Windof what about the part from 0:13 - 0:50 ?

The tape sounds weird. Like the pitch its to high.
It does sound like it needs sl8ght pitch correction. Old tapes!
