      I have had many good Lebanese friends over the years and good customers also both Muslim and Maronite Christian and I know enough about "The Lebanon" the correct way of saying it from ancient times because Syrians and Lebanese were once all the same culture and The Lebanon was historically the Lebanon Peninsular of Syria and both were decended from as the Greeks called them Phoenicians properly known as Canaanites and were renowned as great traders and like the Bedoin were always known as gracious and kind hosts.
      Sad it is that today there are so many misconceptions about the people, So few understand thw hys of History and how it affected the people and the country.
      So few know that during WW2 so many of Lebanons Cyprus trees were cut down to make railroad sleepers for Russia that it almost destroyed agriculture in Lebanon because of the erosion it caused which greatly impacted on the traditional farming families.
      Sad indeed they have gotten a bad rap from especially the Europeans who in truth have a lot to answer for and still do to this day for currently in Southern AQfrica corrupt politicians have allowed EU Companies to take control of the water a recource vital for the people that should in any nation never be allowed to be under corporate let alone foreign corporate ownership.
      I too am a fan of Noraly she is a great human being, I never forget things like when she gives children food she is a wonderful person in all ways and brings us along on wonderful adventures, Western Africa is wonderful and all the people with very very few exceptions are awesome the exceptions as usual seem to be the money changers and scammers on the border crossings, LIve long and prosper Hrazzi peace be upon you and your family

    I'm from Brazil, from the State of São Paulo Capital São Paulo, my name is Fernando Moreira, I'm 50 years old.
    I rode a motorcycle from 1999 until 2001, after an accident, it wasn't serious, despite having an exposed fracture of the little finger on my left hand, it could have been worse, since the accident I never rode a motorcycle again.
    But these days I watched several videos on your channel and I got excited about riding a motorcycle again and taking trips to get to know my country better, which is huge.
    You have inspired me to get back on motorcycles. Seeing you crossing several countries and alone inspires me.

    As someone who has lived in both Liberia and Lebanon this video has a special resonance for me. The first part of the video shows Noraly driving through the market district on Bushrod Island, a journey I made almost daily for seven months including during the monsoon season. The only thing that seems to have changed is the astonishing proliferation of tuk-tuks. There were none when I was there in 2004 and the very few taxis were all much battered Peugeot 504's the youngest of which would have been about 25 years old at the time. It is amazing to see how much more prosperous the country has become and I note that the Liberian's are as cheerful as ever. I lived in Lebanon for over a year and always found the people of that country and especially the Muslims to be kind and courteous almost to a fault to me, who like Noraly, am a Christian European. I, someone who was an almost total stranger to these people, was invited and welcomed to a number of weddings and other major family occasions, such is the magnificent generosity of those wonderful people, so the kindness and generosity of Lebanese mechanic is not a surprise to me. There are a very large number of Lebanese living in Liberia and all of them that I met were hard working and honest people. Thank you Noraly for bringing back some very happy memories for me and thank you also for your most wonderful videos, I have watched every one of them.

    Thank you for your courage, it’s inspiring. I have been following you for years, because this is what I like to do too. I am in the northwest of the United States right now riding my 1989 Honda transalp. Yesterday I broke a clutch cable. I am within 20 miles of Seattle Washington . Cannot find a dealer that stocks clutch cables? So I am trying to fix what I have. I was stuck along the road with no clutch, three people stopped to try to help me. it looked pretty dismal, so I prayed, and within a few seconds, I got the idea that if I had a pair of vise grips, I could clamp them onto the shaft that comes out of the top right side, case, and work the clutch with my right leg instead of the brake pedal. Within 10 minutes of this realization, a man that had stopped earlier named Max came by again in his car and handed me a pair of vise grips, and said I hope this will help. With this new clutch technique, I was able to get to where I am staying, 20 mi. away and work on this clutch cable. Praise God.

    Another amazing video. It's not the beautiful drone shots or amazing off-road scenery. But it shows an amazing woman working through the problems of travel in western Africa. Your frustration level had to be extreme. Yet you finally found someone who knew someone who could help. Isn't that the way life works. Finding someone who knows someone is often the solution to many of life's problems. And we have watched you use your skills with people for 7 years now.

    Noraly, If you are not yet aware your motorcycle has an odb2 port for diagnostics. A 15$ elm327 wifi adapter will allow your cellphone to run one of many free apps to display error codes/descriptions, engine stats etc. Very useful if your stranded in the desert and need to hotwire your cooling sensor to keep your fan on :) Also- how to you drive there! lol? :)

      The rattle is the timing chain, you can hear it early on in the video. The engine doesn’t have sensors for stuff to check for problems outside fuel injection. It will give basic info on air temp, engine position and rpm but that’s about it.

    Noraly just laughs her problems away but I’m sure at back of her mind she starts to think ahead about the solutions. Terrific attitude she’s got. And like many times before , a good samaritan helped her with the bike problem although the guy wasn’t a bike mechanic himself. Goodness exists and Itchy Boots vlogs can vouch for it. Good luck for the next part of your journey Noraly , i hope and pray that Alaska stays problem free.

      @jerrym3261 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don't think a lot of people realize how much better this story is than if she had found a Honda motorcycle shop, waited to get Alaska worked on, maybe got the problem misdiagnosed since Alaska would have been cold and noise free when they looked at it, gotten the cam chain tensioner replaced since that's the common noisemaker and still had the noise after all of that. When the moral to the story is, people are good, it's always a better story.

    Following this video’s for a while now. How do I find the words to describe my feelings just being part of the adventures of this Dutch very adventurous and brave person. I am dutch myself so that makes me a bit extra interested and sort of proud as well. In all I see I must say your social skills in dealing with everyday confrontations with mostly male poulation and individuals is absolute high quality. However I realize their might be less positive encounters that you don’t show us. Never the less, your adventures and sharing them with the world is a huge contribution to us, in our attempts to make this world a better place. Trying to show my gratitude to you I found this quote, It might fit you 😊:

    Dear Noraly
    Consider also replacing entire fan, along with sensor
    They're really made for intermittent work and , considering that you'll have it On for some prolonged time/mileage, better to think in preventive way
    One of the tricks of old dogs - think of installing manual switch (placed somewhere handy), in parallel to sensor, so you can deliberately turn fan On, whenever you think it is better not to wait pre-set high temperature of sensor itself
    Maybe, just maybe, there is a possibility of having sensor with lower temperature than standard one; worth checking.
    Love and clear paths for you ........

    • @muschelpuster1987
      @muschelpuster1987 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they placed a switch right now. If the sensor is bridged hard I think the fan will running also if ignition is switched of and will empty the battery.
      The hint to change the fan is very good, it did a hard job so far under roughly conditions.
