Woman pastors is not a heaven or hell issue and I believe that there’s much bigger things to fry in the church today as a attendee of mercy culture I have to respectfully disagree with woman pastors I let the word of God speak on that issue and I believe it’s is very clear on what it says. With that being said I’m not going to leave this church because of one thing. Every church has something wrong
In there doctrine but I fully believe my that this church loves God and is following God the best they can and the atmosphere is amazing and blessed to be apart of mercy culture.

As a conservative apart of a Reformed Church,I find this sermon interesting.
I preface this by saying,I don’t agree with your perspective but it’s usually a tendency in a Non-Denominational churches to push against the order of Main line “High church”
    Couple of things:
1.) Where is religious spirit in the Bible? So many modern Protestants love to use this terminology but it’s no where in sola Scriptura. This is rather a liberal term used to push against church order and disagreements. Jesus was religion as much as he was relationship because he practiced the law of God perfectly and called others to keep it (John 14:15, Matthew 5:17-21)
2.) Your position on women in ministry is rather very egalitarian due to the fact your wife co-pastor’s and other women in this church are ordained pastors.
3.)Women can and are ministers of the Gospel but they are not called to have authority over men in the context of Pastoral,Deacons or Elders. Genesis 3 literally harps on the fact that God chastised Adam for adhering to his wife and not God. According to the NT, the woman shouldn’t be put in pastor role because she was deceived before Adam and is the weaker vessel(1 Timothy 2:12-14)

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge's verdict could not be altered or appealed.
Refusal to accept a Judge's verdict on any matter,
resulted in execution, according to Deuteronomy.
A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting.
A Judge was REQUIRED in scripture to judge only the hardest of cases.
If your beliefs can't explain all this, they must be false.
P.S. The Judges were referred to as pastors/shepherds in Chronicles.

@@user-iz8np3vv4i What NT argument do you have to back your claims?
According to what I know about the gospels, Women played a role in serving the brethren. As a matter of fact, Mary and Mary Magdalene were not true apostles. They were not in the field like Judas, Peter, John etc
This sermon was simply a means to pander to women and not be transparent about there rules. Patriarchy isn’t abusive when it’s put in its proper context
Egalitarianism is a means to not distinctly understand and demonstrate gender roles

(I haven't watched the video, but am familiar with this subject.)
What NT argument do you have to back your claims?
There was no gender-qualification to be a Judge over Israel.
To say there is a gender-qualification to be an elder/deacon
in the very smallest church on earth makes no sense. Such
      gender/marital-qualifications would prohibit Paul. Therefore
Paul gave himself the title of 'father'. He was very serious
about this title/position. He repeatedly referred to brothers
in Christ as 'sons'. A full post on this alone is a 5 minute
      read. Free, postable here.
      you wrote:
Egalitarianism is a means to not distinctly understand and demonstrate gender roles
There were some gender-specific roles in the Old Covenant, but
there are none in the New. Women can be pastors/shepherds,
obviously. The Judges were described as pastors/shepherds.
      So Deborah was a pastor/shepherd.
In all places where I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’

In the Bible God healed people and did miracles in many different ways; He didn't use the same method every time; don't put God in a box. He is sovereign to do His will as He sees fit. Jesus came to earth to show the world the truth and many of the religious experts of the day opposed Him. A religious spirit is a counterfeit of satan to oppose God’s work. Satan is the Accuser of the body of Christ; he does it by using undecerning people to attack the real work of God. Don't align with satan. Pray for discernment. Better to say nothing publicly and pray the situation to God than align with satan.
I think the pastor is right on with this message. God decides who and how we serve Him.

If one supports the qualifications of elder, as put forward by Paul, one

      Part 8
PAUL WRITES OF HEARING DIVISIONS WITHIN THE CHURCH
AND HOW THIS WAS NOT PROPER AND SHOULD STOP
YET STATES THAT CHRISTAINS SHOULD FOLLOW PAUL
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
      -excerpt 1 Corinthians 1 KJV
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
      -excerpt 1 Corinthians 3 KJV
      Yet Paul writes:
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
      -excerpt 1 Corinthians 11 KJV
      And even worse:
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
      -excerpt 1 Corinthians 4 KJV
And still, Paul wonders why there are divisions in the church?!
All excerpts above are from the SAME letter.
It would seem that when Paul writes:
      ...be ye followers of me.
he is writing what he believes Christians should do. It just
comes out, because it was always in his heart to begin with.

Yes! Leave me ALONE...and STOP telling me that I can be a PASTOR or anything else outside of what the Word of God says. Leave me ALONE, and stop confusing biblical roles in the Church. Leave me alone, and stop trying to push what you [men] should be doing on me. Gosh, Church, when are we going to learn. I little leaven..and soon will be accepting more liberal/feminist ideas.

very very problematic sermon. I could write a lot here about it but will refrain to do so. Just a couple of things
1 - There's nothing a Christian can do to be saved, and there's nothing a Christian can do to lose his salvation once he's saved. We don't save ourselves, doesn't matter what your theological opinions are.
2 - Pastor got derailed when he tried to simultaneously say patriarchy is a good and a bad thing. You can't be egalitarian/feminist/progressist and be a Christian at the same time. Both sets of beliefs are contradictory. Just like Pastor said there's not a single verse in the Bible promoting homossexuality, there's not a single verse in the Bible saying the wife is equal to her husband, or that women should behave as men, or that women are equal to men, or that men should treat women as equals, or even that God have the same roles of women and men.
3 - We as Christians should always keep in mind the Gospel isn't about power. It isn't about what we want to do. It isn't about what we think it's right. It's about obedience. If you notice, every time a person got to Jesus and said "Lord what do I have to do to follow you?" he always said they should leave everything they prized most and cared most about and follow him. Money, power, fame, even their own families, even in case their loved ones died. Christ isn't about being modern, about being equal, about being "empowered". The ministry is not a position of power, is a position of servitude. "Whoever among you wants to be great must become the servant of you all, and if he wants to be *first* among you must be *your slave* ."

    • @blackperson5283
      @blackperson5283 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1. Completely a false. Christian is a label. We lose salvation once we turn away from God. Christians are those who believe Jesus is the Son of God and one God only. Christians sin everyday, however the Christians can also fall away from God. You can either lose it or gain it.
      2. Saying Patriarchy is good and bad is not being a feminist or any of the things you mentioned. Patriarchy isn’t inherently wrong, thats how our society progressed and grew. Also i can site multiple verses saying women are equal in some cases. Genesis 1:17, Galatians 3:28. 1 Peter 3:7
      3. No one is saying the gospel is about power, it’s about spreading the Gospel. Getting out of your comfort zone and teaching the good news. The church is to not stay silent. I agree that God wants us to leave our prized things behind and follow him, but he didn’t say to keep our mouths shut.

    • @segueoyuri
      @segueoyuri หลายเดือนก่อน

@@blackperson5283 1 - your argument only makes sense if you admit a fallible God that makes mistakes (did He chose you from the beginning of time?), or a God who just "kinda" saves (what are the "unsavable" sins? Or did He saved you but suddenly stopped?). And on top of that you still gotta save yourself (what do you have to do to save yourself? And to lose your salvation?). So... Not very biblical.
2 - Saying patriarchy is good and bad is not being a feminist. Saying patriarchy is actually a thing AND it's bad, is. I can also explain the concept of patriarchy to you, if needed be.
      * Genesis 1:17 talks about the creation of the Sun and the Moon. What?
      * Galatians 3:28 falls into the category of "no one is getting married in the Kingdom" (Matthew 22:27 - 30)
      * 1 Peter 3:7 actually talks how the relationship husband -> wife is different from wife -> husband.
3 - Not really sure if you listened to the video but the talks about "empowering women in ministry". That's what I was referring to. So he is saying his church at least is about power.
It also appears you didn't understand it, but Pastor is talking about ministry as if it's something better than being an ol' regular sheep just spreading the good news, as if it's like being an entertainer. It's not. It's a responsibility. It's about serving others, not about having the limelight. He got it all very very twisted. And the very Bible tells us what the role of women during services should be. So it's not about guessing or what we think about it, it's about obedience.
You don't seem to pay a lot of attention and you seem to lack critical thinking. But if I can help you with any other topic else, just ask. Or even if this just didn't get clear enough to you, not problem. I also didn't bothered watching it all, if it was wrong to that point it's wrong all the way.
I'd just suggest you read the references you google/ask chat gippity about BEFORE posting them. It gets a bit shameful.

First and last, I'll make this clear: God will not force people to come to Him. When we're talking about being saved, we're talking about choices. Someone has to choose either to follow God or to turn away from Him. God can only save you from an eternity in hell if you let Him in. If you let Him in and then turn away from Him, are you going to heaven? No! Why? Because you aren't saved. And like I said, patriarchy is not inherently bad, and I already explained my reasons why.
I was referencing Genesis 1:27 and made a typo, so that's my bad.
Galatians 3:28 explicitly states that in Christ, there is no distinction between male and female; there is spiritual equality.
1 Peter 3:7 tells husbands to treat their wives with respect and acknowledge them as their co-heirs of the gift of life.
I am not denying that there is a difference between man and woman.
No, he is not saying that he or the church is about power. He is simply giving scriptures that imply that women can be in ministry and pastors. The Bible talks about people going out and making disciples of all nations. Keyword: all. Yes, we should serve others and be obedient to the Lord. I 100% agree with you, but what I'm also saying is referencing scriptures that require obedience.
Also, how are you going to make a point about the video and not watch it all the way through, and then say that I don't pay attention? You have a blessed day/night, though.

So clearly you don't understand the Bible and not really sure how you became a pastor. You did a better job at being a comedian than pastoring. You're certainly not one of God's pastors. If what you're saying is true, then you're also saying that there are Books/Chapters/Verses in the Bible that contradict each other. Let's keep in mind that God isn't the author of confusion.
I Timothy 3 is very clear about the qualifications of those offices in the church. Clearly, a woman in no form or fashion can be a husband. At least not biblically, which is what matters. Now maybe in today's warped society, a woman somehow can be a husband.
I Timothy 2 isn't referencing culture, if that was the case, how do you explain verses 13-14? Those verses close that false teaching about Paul addressing cultural issues.
Whoever it was that called you a false preacher, that person was a 100% correct. Your best bet is to repent and turn from those false teachings before it's everlastingly too late....

Also, the “religious spirit” that you suggest is rebuking Mary in the passage you read, Mark 14:5 is actually Judas in John 12:1-8
4 But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, “Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.
He was a thief. It’s not that he hated women and believed women shouldn’t minister to the Lord. Your twisting that scripture to suit your message.
