Hi Chris, I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Phoenix/Scottsdale a few weeks ago & have to agree with you on most of the points you made. I especially enjoyed using the full fridge & microwave to store & cook leftovers from Scottsdale restaurants. The pull out desks are a great feature to place things on especially if you have a long charging cord for your phone or laptop. In my view, Home 2 Suites are not bad & I would stay there again on a future trip to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
I am a Hilton Honors American Express card holder so Home 2 Suites along with Hampton Inn are my go to hotels. I agree with you about the A/C units. That's the only thing I would change about them! I love the full fridge and microwave! Very cool! Great rates and comfy!
Good informative videos. There are more new home 2 suites currently being built than any other hotel brand. Not fancy but looks very functional and more than adequate. Thank you Chris.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the room tour.I would stay at this place. The room is a pretty nice size and is clean. The breakfast wasn't the best. but to me it does the job of getting me going in the morning. I agree that the bathroom could have been bigger and I also like to have a hand held shower as well. Take care.
Garden Inn, Homewood and Home2 Suites are my go too… great product. I agree about the breakfast, nothing to write home about but it saves time and it does it's job.
Absolutely agree with everything said here. I've stayed at a few location such as in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Page, AZ. They all basically look the same as the one you stayed in. Breakfast is a lot better and cleaner than most other mediocre American hotels, so that's a plus. I just hope this Hilton chain holds up the test of time because it's really affordable especially having a large fridge and mini kitchen in the room
We have one of these in our area and been there many times to deliver. Stayed at one called TRU in Virginia, it's similar with the fancy colors. I gave my stay 3 stars out 5. Still a good overall hotel.
The size and price are usually good. We typically get a 1-bedroom and that has a lot of space. We were stuck in Rapid City for 3 additional unexpected nights
I stayed at the one in Montebello on a recent trip to LA and I thought it was fine. A lot cheaper than most LA hotels, probably because of the location.
I totally agree with you; I absolutely despise (just so I don’t say ‘hate’ 😂) those cheap A/C units by the windows, and right next to the bed. 🤢 I really enjoyed your excellent review, Chris. That said, I don’t like these home away from home concepts. Same reason I don’t like Airbnb’s. I travel to get away from the home routine and enjoy the comfort and luxuries of hotels, not to box myself into another home away from home environment. Perhaps it’s a good idea for people traveling in large families and with an army of small kids.
Home2 Suites reminds me of the TownePlace Suites by Marriott a little bit but without the stove in the room. The hotel looks nice for a short stay, but probably not for one where anyone plans to stay long term and cook something that is not microwavable. The hotel looks really nice though!
Where do you store your footage when you are traveling, do you use hard drives? I always get nervous that I might lose my footage as I only bring the memory cards with me when filming.
Have you ever stayed at Springhill Suites? I thought it was nice. I think the Springhill Suites had a better separate living room than this one from what it looks like.
Chris I hope they didn’t charge you for parking. Seems that some hotels do charge. I recently stayed at a residence in by marriott and parking was $60 a night after taxes!
The level of service in U.S. hotels has dramatically declined more than anywhere else in the world while prices have also risen higher than anywhere else in the world.
Ever since I stayed at a Home2 in Las Cruces, it's been my go to budget chain. I used to be a Super 8 kind of guy, but after COVID, they just suck. Their standards plummeted, and never came back.
I would never stay at this brand hotel again. We had a smaller room first of all & the bed was only a double. The theme to Me was cheap not cute / they used 50’s colors and styles similar to the 60’s or earlier. The lobby was nice that was about all I can say and check-in was good.
Hyatt House (suburban) is like Tiny Town. A Twilight Zone episode in a jokingly small 2 room suite. Never again. Poor value, poor service, horrid Breakfast buffet. Wouldn't feed my dog the dry powdered eggs.

I love Home 2 Suites. Clean. Comfortable. Love the room layout. We’ve stayed with our dogs while at Mayo.
Hilton Diamond member here - The Home2 Suites compete with Townplace Suites. Homewood Suites are Hilton's answer to Residence Inns.

Thanks so much Lachelle!!!

I love all Hilton Hotels but my favorite has to be Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites because of their complementary breakfast! Amazing review, Chris!
Thanks Hotel Productions +
This looks brilliant. Wish we had one of these in the UK

I recently stayed at a tru Blu Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised, nice remodels done, free breakfast etc. nice review Chris!
Thanks Todd! I'll add Tru Blu to my list to explore

TRU is another Hilton brand, FYI.

Thanks NothingMaster -- yeah. Those A/C units are tools of the devil! 😀
@@YellowProductions 😂👍🏻
Chris, the nice thing about the pull-out desk on wheels is that you can turn it 90 degrees, and now you have double the desk space !
Oooh!
Looks exactly like the extended stays this one looks more geared to families makes sense if it’s by the hospital!
I loved the Do it yourself, waffle maker. You can cook the waffle anyway, you like light or dark
Mmm.. waffles!
Great video! Are there servers or is the breakfast self-serve?
Self serve brekkie
@@YellowProductions Thanks!!

Yeah.. I think the "nice" was also from the "new"
Where do you store your footage when you are traveling, do you use hard drives? I always get nervous that I might lose my footage as I only bring the memory cards with me when filming.
I copy it to my MacBook Pro, then to a USB Flash Drive.. AND if I have enough bandwidth in the hotel I also upload to Google Drive
Have you ever stayed at Springhill Suites? I thought it was nice. I think the Springhill Suites had a better separate living room than this one from what it looks like.
Yes. I like the "new" Spinghill Suites design that is based on West Elm furnishings
Looks good. I would do that.
Interesting review 😊
Room 403 Tour 2:36
Needless to say, those who stay at a Home2 Suites aren't looking for "amazing"....but what you showed looks OK, especially the "semi-full" fridge.
Chris I hope they didn’t charge you for parking. Seems that some hotels do charge. I recently stayed at a residence in by marriott and parking was $60 a night after taxes!
Ouch! Free parking here
Hey, what happened to your last video? I was watching and it disappeared. Now I can’t find it. Did you take it down?
This is my most recent video.. but no. I haven't taken any others down
A very decent hotel.

Sonesta is a bit better because of the stove and not crowded.

Yeah.. super 8 can be a little rough

Dreary and depressing
