I love cowl necks too Elsabe, and I LOVE the way you've created the slightly shaped back edge to give that little bit of extra at the front. I've never been a fan of the plain straight tube cowl, but the way you've explained it has made it quite clear to me what to do. Thank you again for a fabulous tip. x
I much prefer that neckline and now I know how to add that lovely cowl to any top I like. Thank you so much. So often cowls are straight pieces which I find hard to drape.
@@jasmingutherless5301 I worked straight stitch with Gutterman Maraflex which is specifically for stretch fabrics. This thread is used in bobbin and top and allows the seam to stretch. I sew my straight stitch and then another row of straight stitch 6mm in the seam allowance and then trim away excess seam allowance. It gives a lovely finish.
