    Looked simple, but I had to watch the video many times before I finally understood how it's done. Thank you very much!

    Excellent technique Elsabe, thank you for sharing xx. Could you please do a tutorial on how to do this in the round. It may seem simple, but I’d love to see how you approach it. Thank you 🙏

    I have never done my neck binding quite that fancy. It looks really professional. Your close-ups are so helpful!

      I don’t use this with all my tops. It depends on the style and look of the top I’m sewing. I use another method on my serger for a quick finish that prevents any gaping on my stretch fabrics.

    This is so beautiful, and I haven’t seen anyone else teach finishing necklines like this. What would end up being the total measurement of seam allowance for this technique?

    Thank you Elsabe. Just a couple of questions. You have used a straight stitch, will these not break when it is pulled over the head? Also have you used a stretch thread?

    • @ElsabeHurn
      @ElsabeHurn  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I sometimes use Gutterman Maraflex which is a stretch thread. For this top I used polyester thread. When working on stretch fabric I usually use stitch length 3 and I make my top tension slightly lower. With these settings I do have a some stretch with my straight stitch.

    thank you Elsabe, did you use the magic stretch thread

      Great question.I was about to ask the same as there is considerable amount of stretching on he neckline when wearing pullovers.

    Thank you Elsabe~ Quick question -- since this neckline isn't sewn in the full round, Because it is sewn only as half of the neckline, I assume you would have a thick area where the should seams come together, or would you do the neckline in the full round?

    • @ElsabeHurn
      @ElsabeHurn  ปีที่แล้ว

      For your normal necklines I would sew in the full round. When I sewed the armhole I sewed it in the full round as well. With this specific v-neckline I did the back separately.

    Great tutorial. I’m currently finishing my pants blueprint. Do you happen to know where I can find information/instructions on inseam pockets in the Surefit learning center? I’m wanting to make a pair of tailored trousers with that style of pocket. Thanks

      Morning, you will find instructions for teardrop inseam pocket on page 25 of the Pants instruction book. If you have the Pants That Mix n Multiply book look on page 3. Below is a link to the Sure-Fit Designs Super Index. Download it for reference. You will see on page 6 of this index are all the pocket designs with information where to find it
