The higher u are spec'd in to something the higher chance for those type of magazines effectively reduces the chance for lowered specd. But anything equally specd will be 50/50 or 33/33/33 say if 3 things are equally specd. That's why forgetting elixir is only 6k dukes now. U respect our skills, but u won't forget books u have learned.
I read that once you complete a series, the probability for those books goes back to normal, and yes, while Increasing the probability of getting a book by a percentage must reduce the probability of all other books by a equal percentage, that will be spread as a percentage among all other books. Basically, if you have 0 points in a skill, the hit to probability will be vey small on finding those books. Source: I often work in statistics for my company.
That is what I understood, the skill increase gives you more probability of parts and magazines. I also think this increase is based on if there would actually be a probability of that type to be dropped. For example the likelihood of having a weapons mag in a food stash would not be increased that much, and the probability might still stay at 0 and not increased as all.
Spending points only makes the magazine drops you were going to get anyway more likely to be the ones you've invested in instead of ones you have not. If you want MORE magazines in general just stop questing and wander around for a day and hit every crack-a-whatever and any other POIs you remember having a lot of shelves. If you aren't questing you can just skip right to the rooms with books and move on to the next.
The answer for tier 4 infestations is melee, maybe the end room depending how it is needs guns but eh. Making dukes for that chem station would have been easy instead of looting up those cop cars. Like rush through tier 1 or 2 PoIs and sell off all loot. That chem station would have been sweet. Oh well.
Once you hit a max on a magazine, you will not get that as loot. So, if you saved boxes and magazines, and, finish a tier, you will get more of those that you filled. Best to use them immediately.
Hmm with Alpha 21 and how if you loot cabinets the doors swing open; I had a thought: Why can't mailboxes have their flags up notating theres something in the box and when it gets looted the flag goes down???
10:15 I think you explained that pretty well, you wish you were getting books you inspected your perk points into, and not something have no points into, like finding a bow hunting book, when you have 4 points into boom stick, and 3 in machine gunner
another mod for the shovel to add block damage is the grave digger mod, which does 15% more damage to dirt. for the axe, i recommend the fireman's axe mod, and wood slitter mod, which combined add 40% more damage to wood blocks
Not sure if it's just my luck or what but the bigger vehicles seem to have a higher chance of dropping engines. I always search out the work vans and the ambulances.
if you hit a terminator in the head with an aluminum baseball bat I'm sure it would make a nice sound but you wouldn't be able to use your hands for like 3 hours lmfao
I always used to play bat or hammer builds, but now i'm glad i chose stealth in this playthrough, level 6 infestation quests are insane at later game stages, I'm not sure the standard m60+bat build will be enough to safely clear 40+ of elite mutants in boss rooms, considering even tier 4 are already tricky
I think when it comes to the question you had about the magazines that it’s all based on percentages. By default all magazines have the same chance to be found but by adding points in skill trees it increases the chance of finding those books. Meaning yes in a way they are replacing the other books but only because they have a higher percentage chance to be found over the others
I didn't understand what did you mean but what I know as far as you put points into something it will increase de CHANCE (and maybe the amount too) of finding a magazine around that perk you upgraded, and the magazines you wanna find will be binded into specifc crates (Shame food will have food magazines, Shotgun messiah will have weapons magazines, Stiffing tools will have harvest tools, etc...) and once you open those themed crates it will roll the odds of finding the magazine but the other magazines if you have zero points it still has a chance to drop but lower, and in case of weapons crates the higher points in a skill tree has the higher the chance of finding a magazine about that weapon, since your shotgun was low the chances of findind was lower than the club this is only the bad point about magazines since medicine is only one, tools, food, vehicle, farm, etc... but once you reach the main skill trees which each one has it's own mellee weapon and distance weapon it will be annoying to find the magazines. What I don't know is once you complete the magazines idk if it will stop to appear or it will still appear and you can just sell them. Edit.: Forgot to tell, incase of the crack-a-book, trashes, mail boxes, news paper boxes and random POIs will give random magazines but as far as I know pile of books in themed POIs will give the specific magazine from that POI and has less chance to give a random magazine not from that themed POI.
dont need to waste jail braker with the police cars, just break into them and when the respawn start, just go away, it will dissapear after a time and then you can loot it
Does planting a bunch of trees still make the game laggy/drop a ton of fps in the area once they've all grown? It always did for me. I could leave and go a a chunk away and it would be fine but as soon as id get near all the trees id immediately have issues
I heard you say what my biggest problem with this alpha is. I firmly believe that when you put points into spears for example and raises your chance to get spear books it absolutely lowers your chances on others books.
Am I the only one that was yelling at the screen about the lockpicks needing to be made at the workbench? 😅
No, you are not the only one 😫. Kage being Kage...

I noticed yesterday that going back and doing a lower tier quest did get me an offer of the skill books in the rewards - pretty much every time.

mailboxes should have a little raised flag when they haven't been looted or are not empty.

or the box falls off the post or the lid pops open,

I enjoyed that one. I especially liked the cop car at the end. Fun times. lol

I don't know man, hitting a terminator in the head with a bat might be a bad idea 😅
They have nerfed the bump in selling price when adding mods. It's still better than selling the item empty, but nowhere near as rich as in A20.

Need to put a point into living off the land for that sweet double crop harvest
Brass is a great way to make mony . Great Vid keep it up
Could you still make a screamer farm next to your horde base? Do those still work? Light up 9 campfires and wait

When I see a Kage video and hit like before the intro ends
Man, I saw you go past that chem station earlier in the vid and "oh I guess he's got one". I didn't realize you missed it 😂
Did you ever go back and get the engine from the garage i time stamped on your day 6 wasteland quest video?

I'm not sure myself would like to believe it just added extra books if you are higher specced in a book you find, but I doubt it

Are you wrenching wrecked and burnt out cars? I got 3 engines out of 6 cars wrenching them.
Trees have always had to be planted 3 blocks apart
Клас молодець так держать
They should add copper and tin and add bronze tools to the game.
I found like 3 Engines so far just checking cars...
Check what level 5 physician gives you.
Kage when is the next poll coming? Tab for inventory? 😂
I for inventory, f for use/interact. 😁
How bout mailbox flags, up it's got mail, down no mail 👍
64+64 is 132? Is that how we math now? 6:43
Where is the Pocket mod and putting points in pack rat
I heard you say what my biggest problem with this alpha is. I firmly believe that when you put points into spears for example and raises your chance to get spear books it absolutely lowers your chances on others books.
🤣🤣🤣 Instead of exploding…. What if they just showed as opened until they respawn, ya psycho 🤣🤣🤣
OKAAAAAAAY...
Dude, ditch the bat already. Just use a gun.
First!
I'm first
