I have been watching Wode Maya’s journey in Zimbabwe what a beautiful country. I am Zimbabwean have lived all my life in Europe but now I’m thinking of retirement. My children want me to buy a place in Spain so that I will be near them. My husband want Namibia because he’s German and I am seriously considering Zimbabwe. We’re well off so I am sure in African we can have a comfortable lifestyle and the weather is beautiful. December the whole family is going to Zimbabwe for Xmas. I am so excited. Thank you Wode Maya. We need young Zimbabweans to showcase our beautiful country. Most people have a wrong picture of Zimbabwe. I’m sure if one forgets politics Zim is a wonderful place to be. In my opinion Zimbabwe is the "most naturally beautiful country" (Topography) from the 25 countries Maya have visited so far. so why the Zimbabweans don't talk about all these tourists’ fascinations? Their only interest is to whack Maya and who so ever speaks positively about the country on social media. It will be Extremely difficult to build a nation with people like some of the Zimbabwe citizens. Please Zimbabweans tell your leadership to PAY Maya for promoting your country rather than bashing him with all these unhealthy criticisms.
To not discount your sentiments as the country could do with more marketing, of all African countries, the little known fact is that Zimbabwe receives the 5th most tourists and also hosts the continent's largest travel expo. That said, we need to market to Africans a lot more.

Oh my God, my husband who is from Vic Falls & I went white water rafting on this run in 2016, & it was the craziest, scariest & fun-est thing I've ever done. I used to be a river ranger in CO & used to white water, but the Zambezi makes our rivers look like childs play. I look back & can hardly believe how extreme it is, but we had a captain "Wilson" who could read the rapids unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. We were the only raft to not flip......& what my husband didn't mention until after we were done, was the fact, there were crocs lying on the rocks sunning themselves as we passed by. For those that aren't faint of hurt & love the thrill & terror this is absolutely the place to go..Not only for white water rafting, but for evening boat safaris, ziplining, helicopter rides & endless activities in one of the most gorgeous places....I obviously left my heart in Vic Falls, when we left (though plan to return permanently very soon.) And as a white American, I, too am doing everything to change the narrative & share my experiences there (with all the wonderful people), with as many Americans as I can. Everyone I know is afraid to go to Africa, after all the war movies from there & the false images they see in our totally false news, so I'm sharing as many of my pictures & stories with the locals as possible. And I have an awesome husband from Zimb as proof.....😉

In my opinion Zimbabwe is the "most naturally beautiful country" (Topography) from the 25 countries Maya have visited so far.
so why the Zimbabweans don't talk about all these tourists’ fascinations? Their only interest is to whack Maya and who so ever speaks positively about the country on social media. It will be Extremely difficult to build a nation with people like some of the Zimbabwe citizens.
Please Zimbabweans tell your leadership to PAY Maya for promoting your country rather than bashing him with all these unhealthy criticisms.
To not discount your sentiments as the country could do with more marketing, of all African countries, the little known fact is that Zimbabwe receives the 5th most tourists and also hosts the continent's largest travel expo. That said, we need to market to Africans a lot more.

Oh my God, my husband who is from Vic Falls & I went white water rafting on this run in 2016, & it was the craziest, scariest & fun-est thing I've ever done. I used to be a river ranger in CO & used to white water, but the Zambezi makes our rivers look like childs play. I look back & can hardly believe how extreme it is, but we had a captain "Wilson" who could read the rapids unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. We were the only raft to not flip......& what my husband didn't mention until after we were done, was the fact, there were crocs lying on the rocks sunning themselves as we passed by. For those that aren't faint of hurt & love the thrill & terror this is absolutely the place to go..Not only for white water rafting, but for evening boat safaris, ziplining, helicopter rides & endless activities in one of the most gorgeous places....I obviously left my heart in Vic Falls, when we left (though plan to return permanently very soon.) And as a white American, I, too am doing everything to change the narrative & share my experiences there (with all the wonderful people), with as many Americans as I can. Everyone I know is afraid to go to Africa, after all the war movies from there & the false images they see in our totally false news, so I'm sharing as many of my pictures & stories with the locals as possible. And I have an awesome husband from Zimb as proof.....😉
