Has anyone tried to reproduce the analysis of the webinar? I tried and it did not give the same results (divergence near step 11, exact step depends on the diana version). This is what I noticed: - the mesh of the roof is different for the model made in video and the model which shows the output . The mesher of the interactive environment isn't that great atm. To make a mesh of the roof like in the model with the output you need a lot more effort and tricks. Also, I noticed in the video: - in the table with the material parameters the Youngs modulus for timber is a factor 10 higher than modelled. C18 grade timber according to Eurocode should be 9.0E+09 N/m^2 - model made in video has 3 layers for the shell elements, the model which shows the output has 5 layers. In my opinion 3 is a bit little to accurately describe the masonry. - output selection in video gives a warning when STRESS EFFECT TOTAL LOCAL is selected. When changing the eigenmode from 1 to 3, I would have expected that the arc-length control settings for the direction has to be set at direction Y. Since the eigenmode is dominant in the Y-direction.
Hi Soheil, we do have several tutorials which are available on our website. You can freely download them or directly contact me for more materials... M.Partovi@dianafea.com
Does anyone know how we can use smaller steps in pushover analysis? In this video, she uses 0.5(100)... 100 is the number of steps. However, I have no idea about 0.5. Could you please explain this?
Hi Soheil... 0.5 is your reference fraction of time unit... that means 0.5 sec multiply by 100 which bring you to 50 Sec in total... you can use the same concept for load steps... dont forget that you can define these steps in an irregular intervals too... you can contact me if you have any further questions... m.partovi@dianafea.com Thanks, Maz

Good morning, when performing the nonlinear time history analysis I get this error, could you please help me, I followed all the steps indicated in your tutorial, I await your prompt response and thank you very much. Hi Jan... There should be no problem. Might be small problem in the sequence of your analysis setup... pls send your file to me for review... m.partovi@dianafea.com
Thank you for this tutorial, i'm interested with DIANA used Research
Hello,
I am working on Retrofitting of masonry structure, can u guide me how to model and put wire mesh at lintel band
Thanks you very much, it was easy to understand.
Where can i get the software??? Please help if possible

Hi... Thank you very much for the great video. Could I ask for more explanation in NLTH analysis? It is not so clear and I have some problems.
