Just got this bag last week and I am organizing the pack for next year. Love the accessibility with all the openings. Even with a weight of 2kg, I am going to be in the light weight backpacking class fully geared up for a -7c (20f) limit. So the extra comfort and convenience I get will is totally worth it. Also, the backpack feels great.

So far this pack is hands down the best one I have had. It packs well and with 40lbs it’s not an issue at all. The center part that opens is outstanding not having to open the top and rummage through a pack to find something at the bottom. If you can find one do not hesitate at all.

Which is more comfortable between Aircontact Lite 50+10 or Futura Air Trek 50, for long mountain trips with heavy luggage?

Didn't find one that cheap (congrats!) but got it on a steep discount as a gift for my wife. It looks like they're discontinuing some models (or at least colors?), so a bunch of those packs are on sale from Deuter's site.

I'm planning to get my first pack. Initially, I was considering the Osprey Rook, but after further research, the Futura Air Trek caught my attention. Would you recommend spending the extra money on the Futura Air Trek instead of the Osprey Rook?

Honestly, it really comes down to fit and personal preference. If you have the option, I'd definitely recommend trying them on before you buy to see which you prefer. But consider the features, too, and which suit your style of backpacking best! They're both solid options, though!
