    No, the fumble into the end zone rule makes sense, it cause the offense to have to be cautious of extending for the touchdown. Touchdowns aren’t the only exciting thing in football, turnovers actually are more surprising because you can usually see a touch down 30 yards away.

      Completely disagree. The college overtime is absolutely ridiculous. It usually results in 8 overtimes and a game that goes way too long. What the NFL needs with overtime is drop the coin toss altogether and just continue play. Leaving the scoring rules alone. You want your shot play defense and stop your opponent.

    Any offensive penalties committed on fourth down will be an automatic turnover on downs, if the play is a defensive turnover (fumble or interception) the yardage is tacked on in addition to the turnover and a defensive touchdown the yardage is added to the kickoff.

    They have already handicapped the defenses too much. One of the best games that I ever saw, although my Lions lost was a five three loss to the Cowboys in the early 70s each team had a field goal and the Cowboys won on a safety. The hitting was epic and that is what football is about. We are getting too close to two hand touch or flag football. Put the hitting back.

  • @paulkowald4057
    @paulkowald4057 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Other rules, I think should be added; if a fumble is out of the back of the end zone, it should be a safety to the defense. Also, if a player in intercept in the end zone, they should get at least some points cause those plays are just so cool to watch. Finally I think the NFL should adopt a single point as in the CFL. Mainly because so many kickoffs and punts are going into the end zone.

    • @713davidh42
      @713davidh42 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, I think the single point rule or rouge as they call it would be the best change the NFL could adopt from the CFL. Teams would be more inclined to kick into the end zone rather than kick out of it as a way to pick up some points.

    • @paulkowald4057
      @paulkowald4057 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@713davidh42 also and just like tps i’m probably going to get some backlash over this, but I think baseball should allow brawls. Like if a player gets hit and he’s pissed he should be allowed to charge the mound and kick some ass. That and fans should be aloud too throw shit on the field after bad call.

  • @davidpine2013
    @davidpine2013 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    almost everything you said about the game itself, is pro-offense. Defense makes the game just as fun, if not sometimes more fun. This league is already robbing the defense of being able to play DEFENSE! We do not need more rules that's going to favor the offense. I would be sick and tired of the game after just seeing teams scoring 60+ points in a game.
    The two good ideas I like are players being able to choose their own footwear, as a way to express themselves, and NFL should adopt to NCAA overtime rules.

    The only two I agree with are the endzone fumble and the shoes/cleats. I'd like to see changes made to points awarded for a FG. Anything under 30 yards should be 2 pts. 30-49 yards, 3 points. 50-59 yards, 4 points. Anything over 60, 5 points.

    Overtime as four plays from scrimmage till one team fails to keep pace, points to be calculated "cornhole" style, i.e., a TD by the first team is canceled out by a TD for the second. Thus, the winning margin will always be 6, or 2 if you would rather think of it as a conversion.

Smarter, or quicker thinking QBs know how to take advantage of it, and watching it unfold in real time is a joke most of the time. And speeding up the play clock would definitely be awesome.

    I got a good one that would make the NFL Allstar game a little better. In Major League Baseball the winner of the Allstar game, let’s say the American League won the game, during the World Series 4 of the 7 games are played in the American League stadium; in other words the winner of the AllStar game would have more home field advantage in the World Series. Now, this will NEVER happen in NFL, but the winner of the AllStar game, let’s just say the AFC won the game, the Superbowl would be played in the stadium of the AFC team for home field advantage. Players and coaches would try a little harder in the AllStar game to win for that home field advantage

    1. The O line can hold. 2. The O line can move pre-snap--no more false starts. 3. A team can only run once in the first three downs. 4. A dropped pass is a live ball. 5. A defensive touchdown and extra point subtracts seven points from the offense and negative scores are possible. 6. A tie score at the end of regulation counts as a loss for the home team--you're a loser if you can't win at home. Just kidding except for #2.

    @Justin_Watson23 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The new kickoff rule is an absolute dumpster fire already & I hate it so much. Canadian motion blows & dominant defenses would never be the driving force behind a championship again. Field is big enough. Special teams should remain special teams, they're almost gone as it is. Fumbling out of the endzone is an undisiplined, selfish play, it should be a turnover & an ejection for being an idiot.
    Now college OT & first downs? Love it. The uniform code sucks, let players wear what they feel most comfortable in within reason. Just trying to get my prescription visor cleared by NCAA refs each week was a nightmare. I don't know about full out fighting, but the person who responds to a borderline late/cheap hit seemingly always being the only one penalized gets really old during the season.
    2/3rds were really bad, the other 1/3rd were stellar. Strong finish for sure.
