Here's an idea; Using the normally open contacts of the reed switch (as you have done) wire the two reed switches in parallel (red to red / black to black). This makes it so either or both (an 'or' gate in a simple logic circuit) switch(s) can activate the same light. Wire this into the outer circle of lights ONLY. Now reduce the number of LEDs in the center ring to reduce the current draw and cut down on the brightness a bit and wire it to an on/off switch mounted in the battery box. The inner circle of light becomes a constant running light and the outer circle becomes the break light. The only added part is a simple, single pole/single throw switch for $1.50. By reducing the running light down to 4 to 6 LEDs the two AA batteries should provide power for four to six hours.
Great plan :P
Hi mate. Can you make 1 for me??
@@AaAaa-cp7pn I could have up to about 6 years ago. I retired, bought a sailboat and left my workshop and electronics bench somewhere beyond the horizon over my shoulder. Just follow the example in the video, and use my modifications. The only thing you may have to practice a bit is your soldering skills, but it's not difficult to master. If you don't have an electronics supply nearby, use an online supplier like Jameco Electronics. None of these parts are expensive.
@@3DPDK hey man. With your skills. I'd want to know if you can make a wireless toggle switch controll for the tail light with brake sensing and turn indicators? This is very complex device for DIY. There's no videos for this on TH-cam mate. I'd like to pay for it
Youre genius 😮
U deserve more views and subscribe'rs..
Superb
Ypu are amazing. Good job. Thumbs up!!!
That's so cool man!
You deserve way more views than you have
You are awesome
Thank you :) You're awesome too
Nice, but surely you needed some additional circuitry in there somewhere like resistors?
*Good Idea.! ;-) 👍*
Thank you
Instablaster.
nice one all the best to you
very nice

Thanks man :)

What is the round thing called that you put the LED in?
Just a round reflector. You can find them very easily
cool... but whats that 3 legged component (name pls) that activate by magnetic field?
Very complicated
Oh my god what's the name of the song in that intro? I recognize it but cant remember its name.

ain't sh***te man!
This way you don't need an accellerometer:-)
