    So true. I practice everyday and love it. Do it. If you are alive, if you have thoughts, if you have a desire to get rid of stress, if you like to improve the quality of life, if you want better health, if you like to quit drinking, smoking, eat less and be more satisfied. if you like to feel more love and happiness just learn to practice twice a day for 20 min. It is the easiest, the most natural, and the most beneficial practice one can do. There are currently over 600 studies proving vast benefits of TM. American hart associations, Stanford university are among the many reputable institution endorsing and TM by publishing 9 year long studies on TM.

    For me part of the effect of meditation is very similar to "defragging' your hard drive. Meditation gives your mind the opportunity and permission to sort out what is important and what is not. Much of the unnecessary data we carry around can be deleted freeing up our minds for creative activity. It cleanses our our thoughts.

    I love the description of TM when Maharishi defines this technique as a means to do what one wants to do in a better way in a right way for maximum results. In this way one can better comprehend how practical it is and how it helps in acitivity. Thank you Maharishi.

    We were lucky to interview and film an American practitioner of transcendental meditation in our channel. This was part of our recent coverage of the Kumbh Mela, the world's largest gathering. The interview was an interesting one. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi trained the Beatles on this technique. We would say the world needs peace and transcendental meditation will release that happiness and peace. Thank you Maharishi.

    @2HundredPercent Most meditation techniques require some concentration and so it is natural for one to think it is hard to learn.

    i know the mystical aspects to life aren't really propagated with the modern yogis as humanity doesnt even know how to live. but with that said i was once sceptical of the whole thing as many of them have pointed towards things that we have been conditioned to think are fantasy (the siddhis im referring to). i can now say without a doubt through my own experience and witnessing of thing that they are infact real

    It's more a lack of concentration which, for our fast world and fast minds, seems very difficult.. It is now very hard for us to do or think nothing..

    I feel some people have trouble catching on to the idea of meditation because they try to do it, but meditation is something you can't try to do, when you try you are fighting they natural course of settling into your own awareness. In essence it is not doing...

    Is Maharishi a titel or name? With divine sovereignty characteristic of an enlightened teacher all questions are an excuse for Maharishi to expound his philosophy of life catching in its simplicity and practicality. Transcendental Meditation is at its core. The prerequisite to learn it? Intend to have a better life, Maharishi says, Transcendental Meditation is a means to do what one wants to do in a better way, in a right way, with maximum results. Who doesn‘t want to go for it.

    • @jonsmith4669
      @jonsmith4669 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If one analyzes the practise then it can become hard to learn, I know because that's exactly what I did over 40 years ago,I was getting no where.As soon as I did as instructed and stopped analyzing and approached the practise innocently,it started working.
      Its very subtle,and the mind can interfere with it.
      One major mistake I made was that I read several books on TM (not by Maharishi) before I learnt and naturally expected all sorts of things to happen ,they didnt of course.
      I had a natural powerful Enlightenment or an Awakening when I was about 8 years old but it didn't last,this was the main reason I learnt TM many years later,to try to relive that glorious experience and make it permanent, so that in itself was another impediment to the actual TM practise,don't expect anything, in my case it is a gradual process.
      It's so simple and automatic , whether one believes it or not it will work if one follows the Teachers instructions, It cannot be learnt from a book ,although some people (who wish to sell their book,or whatever reason they have) claim you can.
      Its a bit like riding a bike,the harder you try the harder it becomes, if you just relax ,be innocent ,then off you jolly well go....its been my secret weapon for releasing accumulated stress and understanding of who I really am, it has been a lifeline in several traumatic situations.
      I look forward to it every day its like a wonderful warm mental bath in my experience..and complements nighttime sleep.
