- Mehul Choksi refrained from commenting on Nirav Modi who is the prime accused in the banking fraud but mentioned he was a partner in one of Modi’s companies which was dissolved in 2000. However, Choksi’s name still figures in the KYC form of PNB.

I think Indian businesses and banks have been targetted by foreign countries so that indigenous businesses and banks fail and India's huge economy opens up for exploitation.

All Bull and Nautanki! He has taken loans from the Banks against assets or goods owned by him. He claims he was making profits and winning awards for the last 50 years. If he is unable to repay the amounts, which are not denied, he has obtained the loans by fraudulent means or over-invoicing his goods, as evident from the fact their are complaints regarding cheating by his franchisees, which he casually dismisses. All I can say is that Jai Mehul Bhai Ki Jai Ho Aur Thuggo Humko!.

There is a diff between a defaulter and a fraud . Anil Ambani is a defaulter and hence will never run away because when he took those massive loans his businneses were actually valued in many billions which is not the case today . On the other hand Mehul choksi took loans on a business without proper documents , or valuation or without providing a collateral . It is as if you have assets of 5 crore but end up taking loans of 20 crore illegely by bribing the bankers.
