Calling All Oscar experts. What's is happening to my Oscars butt?

My Red Oscar is a very voracious eater like most Oscars. but I have noticed his butt hole gets a big bulge after eating like his poop is stuck. I actually saw him push into some wood in the tank and knock some of it out. Any ideas and or suggestions are welcome.
he is very active and healthy except for this budging.
