Hopefully Sl1p will see this and anybody else that wishes to learn about Gachas. A few things about Gachas: 1. Breeding pairs only. This means 1 male and 1 female next to each other, then all others need to be 12-13 straight foundations away. (This number lowers slightly when running diagonally. I currently have mine about 11ish foundations away at a diagonal.) 2. Tamed Gachas do not need to be fed metal structures to produce. Stone works just fine, and I've found it easiest. I've done metal structures, cables, and stone. They seem to produce higher tiered crystals evenly but I could be wrong, I've seen people swear up and down that Metal Cables and War Maps are the way to go. 3. Untamed Gachas prefer metal and stone structures over owl pellets as a food to eat. (Meaning you will have a higher taming effectiveness with structures over pellets.) 4. Owl Pellets give Gachas a production boost as noted by the bright "disco" lights on their backs. I haven't seen any confirmation whether this is a faster production or more items from each crystal, or both. I've seemed to have noticed that it at least does double items from each crystal. (i.e. 12-16 black pearls with stone alone, but 30 with a pellet and stone.) 5. Each Gacha will only eat one owl pellet to gain the buff for each crystal. Meaning that if you do not have stone or anything else in their inventory they will not constantly munch on pellets. I have tested this and currently have 3 Snow Owls parked in front of all my Gachas (7 Gachas in total) and the owls will puke up the pellets on the ground, and the Gachas will just hold them in their inventory. making it super easy and worry free about having to try and farm pellets. 6 Gachas will pick up anything off the ground in front of them, I've noticed this in about a 2-3 foundation semi-circle? I haven't noticed mine picking stuff up that was behind them. 7. Gachas eat in stacks of at least 20 to produce. Meaning, if you are trying to get them to produce items, then every thing you feed them has to be in a stack of 20 or above. Otherwise they just eat it as food. 8. This one is more of a note about the owls and Gacha taming. Owl pellets are still an easier way to tame Gachas all though they are not the best for taming them. Sl1p mentioned holding right click to get the owls to make pellets, that is one way, but an easier way to get pellets is to fill them up the owls with meat and stimberries and then force feed them the stimberries. After about 20 or so berries, get out of their inventory and press your defecate button (default key Numpad + if I'm not mistaken) and they should create a pellet. I've done this and have easily multiplied my production by 10x versus just holding the freeze attack on the owl. 9. This is just for S+ users and many probably have already figured it out. As of 11/30/2018 S+ Item Collector does NOT pick up Owl Pellets or Gacha Crystals. Sadly, though what you can do, and what I have been doing, is set a timer for 10 minutes (as official and unofficial default timers for the Gacha crystal decay is 15 minutes) and let the crystals accumulate, then use a whip to scoop them all up at once. It has been a nice method that has been working out for me if I'm just afk farming crystals.
Sl1p: love your videos. BTW, there is a way to mass produce Owl Pellets. 1: Farm stacks of Stimberries 2: Freeze attack on Snow Owl until out of stamina 3: Spam feed owl Stimberries and owl will puke about 15-20 pellets. 4: Force feed meat to gain Food to max then RINSE, REPEAT for lots of pellets. Also, you can just mouse over item in inventory and hit E to equip it instead of always putting it into hotbar to use. Also again, the Awesome Spyglass mod is SOOO good. Gives serious details on dinos including gender and what lvl they were tamed at. Also includes coords when active so you know where you are at and in which direction.
I miss the days of daily ark stuff and things, but I dont wish for slip to ever go back to that. Keep up the good work sip, fan for 3 years and counting!

The best way to do it for the Gacha is 12 foundations apart, mate boost, raw metal as food, and lots of owl pellets. With high crafting, you get more resources and a lot more ascendant gear. Raw Metal is the best cause they eat that slower than anything else, and it take a while before a stack of 200 is left to 1 metal.
Vertical Metal Cable works the best for getting them to produce high level crystals. 20-30 pellets + 400 vertical electrical cable will give roughly 2-4 ascended, 2-4 master craft, misc journeyman, ramshackle, and apprentice and a few regular from my experience. Only costing 2 metal ingots each, they're also the cheaper options for the highest quality.
Hey Sl1p, do NOT drag items to your bar, when you're going to use them once. Just press E from your inventory. It's easier and you will never be confused.
Hey Sl1p, try feeding the Gachas a combination of stone (just the resource), owl pellets, and also electric cables. The cables are 2 metal each to craft and the Gachas eat ~20 at a time. Over a period of 30 mins, albeit from near max level tames, I’ll have roughly 20-30 gear containing crystals ranging from primitive to ascendant. Hope this helps!
I’ve also tamed a dozen owls and built a tower for them. When they drop pellets, they fall directly in front of the Gachas and they pick them up straight away.
If you want ascendant gear then use the pellets and put element in the Gacha. The rarer the resource, the better the gear at a faster rate. Element will get you a crystal every 30 seconds or so.
Slip you should tame Brian the bronto back from the old days aka season one of ark anyway I’ve been a sub since th3n love you keep doing what you’ve been doing
You dont have to feed them structures, you can feed raw resources as well, it may help the loot, but I mostly use mine for rare resources. Also the item collector has not been picking up crystals yet (unless updated in the 24-36 hours)
Slip Sap is rare.. the trees down under wont produce sap from the tap yet.. also S+ collector can be powered by the tech gen. But it will not pick up any extinction items.. ie: gacha Crystal's and snow owl pellets.
Really enjoying extinction with you slip. I'm a little disappointed with extinction though only because I thought we would get to meet some survivors from the survivor notes.

Sl1p, Manifest 1 is great because it has Blue Crystalized Sap. Bruce Willis and Manifest B also have it but it would be better if Bruce produced the Red Crystalized Sap and Manifest B produce the Congealed Gas Balls. This is you have the more rare items crafting. Don't waste metal on the Gacha's. Using stone is just as good. Don't even have to use structures.
Sl1p! Never grind items anymore, feed them to your gachas! They're like recyclers! They take unwanted stuff and reroll for better stuff. At least you can get black pearls or whatever rare resource if nothing else.

They do get mad and you won't get good gatcha gear. You pair them up mate boosted. And each pair needs to be a certain distance apart. Go watch lucky by natures vid on it. They nailed it and did the research. You know they are happy by their glowing color thing. They like you to throw stuff down for them too
The gacha's ate all the metal walls because their hunger was drained.. Feed them, Put a stack of raw metal and like 50/100/150 w/e pellet in them, this way, they produce the higher loot crystals, as well as the resource they provide.. have some Owls around them, so they produce pellets @ random, reap the rewards!
Slip if you tame 2 more owls and just park them in front of your Gacha's, as the owls barf the pellets the Gacha's should pick them up just like when you tamed them

I didsn't the gachas became more efficensy when there only where a male and a female and that you could make them drop 30 pearls per 2 min instead of 2 pearls per 2 hours. Thank you so much.

You can find mates that will be ok next to each other. It takes some time to find pairs.

I feed mine metal power wires. They are cheaper than walls and they LOVE them. Great drops

gacha's digestive system starts through the mouth like most things but ends in crystalline stuff on their backs so those crystals are their poop

Put the snow owls infront of the gacha & they will automatically pick the pellets up :) hope this helps you
Sl1p I usually keep my gatchas on wonder within a dino leash and they usually feed theirselves and produce Crystals
You used to be able to do the pellet thing with owls and get 3-4 pellets, they already patched it.

You know that you can just hover and push E on things in your inventory to equip them. Works great for juggling cryopods.

Pump crafting skill and feed them lots of pellets to have them drop better gear

Can you please show us the S+ water trick, where you only need 1 or 2 pipes.
Read the description on the S+ section in steam. It will tell you that you just have to add 1 line to your game.ini (or was it gameusersettings.ini?)
