- I Survived! This was my FIRST ever time playing Hardcore, so I'm stoked that we made it too a thousand days. It was close!! During the adventure I managed to build a fantasy style village, complete with huge storage building, a MASSIVE custom cherry blossom tree. A Sniffer sanctuary and a very unique Iron farm with water fall disposal system! Amongst many other fun and unique builds. Of course there were LOTS of shenanigans and boss fights along the way. I hope you enjoy the video:)

Do you use references while building? Or just wing it?
Both, depending on the situation. For this series it was all pretty much from the head but I've used art or previous builds by other creators as inspiration before. If I have a particular style I've worked out for a series of builds then I'll usually take that as the guide and just wing it from there.

The flights to Australia are expensive from anywhere Raina, including from Australia to Australia. It's well worth a visit though if you have the funds and more importantly, the time. You're not going to see much in less than a few weeks. Because of your labour laws around annual leave, that means we seldom ever see Americans here unless they're in military uniform, so you'd be welcome and a curiosity😁

I been trying mods on Xbox bedrock I found a stony peaks seed that started me on top of the Stony peaks and the reason why is because of my animal mod it added snail shells and I can collect them and collect calcite and make a new modded stone called shell stone made out of snail shells and calcite
Sounds interesting. On a side note, that reminds me of a place here in remote coastal Australia that has beaches made nothing but billions of pure white shells. The locals quarry some of it and build houses from the compacted blocks of shells they get, so the walls are gleaming coral white shell walls.

Iron farm is cool lucky in Java you only need 3 villagers because I play bedrock I need 30 villagers for iron farm different macanics and a pain not as easy as java is
30 is crazy. I think iron farm mechanics/villager mechanics are the ones I've probably seen change the most in MC over the years though, so there's hope Mojang might switch something up and it'll become easier.
Can’t believe you have 9k subs I was expecting so many more when I looked! When you have more of an audience I’d really appreciate subtitles to be added into your videos but I 100% get if you don’t want to as they would take a lot of time to add, can’t wait to binge your videos! 🙃
I never really understood the need for manually inserted subtitles on videos, maybe you can educate me here. Is it not enough to turn on the optional subtitles/closed captions that are available with youtube automatically? giving everyone the option to either have or not have? They seem pretty close to perfect on what's being said these days too, not like years ago. Am I missing something about having it hard coded into the video itself?
@@microcosmgaming There is the youtube version but compared to manual ones bigger youtubers put in theyre quite hard to read (theyre smaller) and they have a black boarder that kinda ruins the vibe of the video, if you look on videos with youtuber subtitles the letters are normally bigger and more in time with what the person is actually saying which makes it a lot easier for people who struggle to take in information to understand whats being said. Like i said previously, i completely understand if it isnt somethjng you want to do i just think it would add something to the video & people would be appreciative that use them 🙃
Ah ok, gotcha. Thanks for giving me that perspective on it. It's a tough one to judge, personally it annoys me to the point of closing a video when there is constant subs popping up on screen that I can't turn off, so that becomes a subjective preference thing, but then there is the question of access for those with hearing impairment etc too. It's something to think about for sure. Thanks mate.

Well, thank you. Bigger builds would ruin the aesthetic of this particular village setting. A lot of times you want to build in context of your surroundings and the focus of your project. This one was cozy, so we had relatively cozy builds.

Well you should definitely visit then. Like England, it's nicer in the summer and more beautiful in some parts than in others, but getting there from east coast England should be cheap as chips on the ferry. It's easy to get around by train etc too, so you can see more than just Dublin.

In the giant Ancestral Cherry Blossom build, I wish you would have networked the Warped tree wood pieces together to look like an iridescent fungus growing beneath the tree. Otherwise, no notes, 9.99/10
I considered the very same. It turned out that my willingness to harvest enough warped stem came shockingly short, so I didn't bother. Nice thought though.

I honestly don't think there's any such thing as bad building in Minecraft. It's expression, like art, and just like any art, it's about the intent, it doesn't have to be Botticelli, you can try Banksy instead. I suppose it all ends up cubist in the end though doesn't it.

Just wondering. How do u go into spectator to do your time lapse? I always wondered how TH-camrs do that in hardcore
That's a good question. We don't go into spectator at all for this. We use a plugin called 'replaymod' that records our session and then, outside of the gameplay, allows us to replay everything we did and set up camera angles and movements to capture it in the way you see in timelapses etc. Essentially allowing us to film our past selves. It's an essential piece of kit for minecraft gameplay content creation these days and I'd like to buy the creator of it a drink.
Can you also put it description your video editing tools, video recorder, timelaps etc. Or how you do the tricks.
well for editing i use davinci resolve, timelapses are your basic replaymod. How I do the 'tricks', would probably be a video series. Years of practice i suppose?

Hey Micro, i really like your builds and I was wondering, is there some sort of download of this safe file for us fans?
Not currently, no. I considered it but tbh so far there have been very few calls for it so It may happen at a later date if there are more people who request it. You can ofc use the seed and play the same world, it's in the description.
How did u build that first building in a hardcore so early? Did u turn creative on or did i really have to get all of those resources to build with yourself?
No creative, you'd be surprised how few resources you really need for a building like that. the hardest part was all the wood for the chests. I HAD also played many hours at that point ofc, you just don't have to watch every second of tree chopping to get there.

Hi guys I am quite new to minecraft, and i am quite interested in using the same shaders as the ones used in the video, how do i go bout doing this?
Hey mate. Great to see more people getting into Minecraft. If you want to use the same shaders as this one of my videos you'll have to be using the Java version of Minecraft, not bedrock. Then download 'complimentary shaders', put that in your mods folder, then get 'faithful x32' textures and put those in your resource packs folder. There are lots of tutorial videos online to help you out if you get stuck. Hope that helped.

Snifflet, sure, that cute little moniker was set on release. Jean (not Jane), I've never really bought into. A once off ponder in a reddit post by Notch once upon a time does not a lore make. Especially when big ole Microsoft buys your product with no mention of that name attached to the game in any form. I prefer minecraft.net version that the name cannot be uttered! All a bit of fun though isn't it, so if ya like Jean or Jane, that's grand too.
