FACT: Peppy is actually the most badass character in the StarFox series He escaped Venom at the beginning of the war against Andross, he trained Fox Mccloud, he took care of him after the death of James Mccloud, even in his old age he helped the StarFox team throughout this game, he saved General Pepper, he took out this shield by crashing the GreatFox, he escaped AGAIN from an enormous explosion, he took General Pepper's place after his death/illness and became the new general and currently leads the Cornerian Government
*The serious briefing music plays* Fox looks at the briefing images, rubbing his chin, his teammates, Krystal, Falco and Slippy watch him worriedly, just then Peppy walks in. "Peppy..?" Fox asks nervously. Peppy has an intense look in his eyes. "Fox, there is something you will need to know before you go out there..." he says. "I'm listening.." Fox replies. Peppy looks to him and says. "Do a barrel roll!!" Fox: "..." also this was someone else's comment from another vid, I just made a story.
fact for this one: he was started to infect by the Aparoids when he crashed the Great Fox 1:18 - 1:25 check out his right arm even General Pepper was unable to resist the Aparoids, he lost control of his own body and claimed for death so he could keep his honor at least Peppy was able to fight fully against the enemies of Lylat instead of becoming one
Peppy is officially my favorite character. He was a part of the original Star Fox, escaped venom, helped fight in the Lylat Wars, advised the new team, saved pepper, nearly died breaking the second shield, and now leads the Cornerian military. This guy’s done it all and has a hell of a record
Here you can see how Nintendo taught us another important lesson of life. When you find yourself in a hard moment, it's all about strong will, that is the only thing that keeps us moving on. You just have to be brave enough to see and use your options.
This was one of the few videogame scenes which made me cry. Such a brave Sacrifice. And yes, before anyone says it. I do realise he survived in the end.
Luke: peppy what are you crazy Krystal: peppy Slippy: don't do it peppy Falco: what are you doing crazy old fool Peppy: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I've said this hundreds of times, Assault should had been better, it wasn't. The potential was there you can see it in this scene, in the designs (ship designs were the best in the series, whoever did it they did a fantastic job)! Assault, i feel, was the best Star Fox game to date despite its problems. It pushed the series, it honestly did. SF needs a really, really good reboot and if they ever get to this point (Aparoid Wars) this could single handily be the biggest point/event in the whole IP. That final battle with the Aparoids should have not only had all of Star Fox there and the Cornerian Army but everyone, Bill and Katt too. We should had seen all of the Aces (significant characters who can actually fly Star Fox, Wolf, Bill, etc. maybe with new characters) fly together with every type of unit following them from a cornerian fighter to a pirate battleship.
You should leave that for if they ever end up fighting the humans. Aparoids turn out to be a bio-weapon created by the humans years ago. The Human Empire turns out to be 10x more powerful than andross & are this "unstoppable force" like the reapers from mass effect. You end up unifying the whole lylat system, teaming up with old enemies & allies, as well as some help from human rebels who don't agree with and/or hate the human empire. Etc. You find out that Krystal's homeworld, cerinia, was actually destroyed by the humans. They have this super weapon that can basically "slingshot" a planet into their solar system, hence colonizing it later until the resources are depleted, then destroying it. What ends up happening is that epic final battle at earth with everyone & new people there. The star fox team ends up having to use the human superweapon against them, destroying all human technology. The end.
Star Fox: Assault was a brilliant game, no one can fault that it wasn't. It was a very skilled piece of work and consider it to be part of my childhood. I've grown up with Star Fox ever since I was a kid at 3 years old, scared of Andross on the N64 and quickly shutting it off when getting to Andross. I literately was in tears when I saw Peppy sacrificing himself.
Some of the lines were REALLY pushing it, but this is the most dramatic Star Fox scene by far. I actually still get goosebumps watching it. Why isn't the theme available???
@LemonTheMighty I think you missed the entire first part. "Don't do it!" Falco is hard-headed, and has his own way of expressing his emotions. He doesn't want Peppy to die, but says it like that because that's the way he is. And Slippy is the only StarFox member you're allowed to hate lol
Fox: I'll never forget some of the advice you gave me Peppy, like how to handle Barrel Rolls in Arwing training... Falco: I ain't gonna forget the times we spent during the Lylat Wars. Slippy: Or how I sometimes got him mad... Krystal: And me, I'll never forget when he presented me with his Arwing...
I know the first time I saw this cutscene I thought the music wasn't nearly dramatic enough for the great pepster's demise, but I was just like "peppy...no" hahaha I thought this game played a bit funky but I love it none the less.
when i saw peppy just blow up the whole plat-form i was like, why did u send me down there to kill all the hatchers? just fire away and blow shit up. >:(
@SporeJunkie89 at the end of starfox assault after credits peppy and rob rejoin fox and every one else you would know if you have played and finished the game
(The Cranassian Corps shipgirls head for the heart of the Bydo Empire) Hatsune Miku: Be ready, for anything and everything. Strap in, lift the anchor, and hit the planet! Little Hatsune Miku: Hang on, sis! Something's wrong! Energy readings keep getting stronger! Kagamine Rin: Are you freaking kidding me!? (fires plasma torpedoes, but they bounce off the shield) WHAT!? Megurine Luka: What is going on here? Little Hatsune Miku: The energy's forming a barrier! Cannon fire's gonna be useless! Kagamine Rin: Dagnabit! Enterprise: Get out of my way, girls! (USS Enterprise appears, only to have 1/2 of her own body being infected by Bydo parasites) Vestal: We're suffering from extreme impairment. I don't think the hull will survive more damage! Enterprise: Nobody cares! Divert all power energy to the remaining arrows! It's over! (destroys the remaining Bydo defenses) Vestal: We've bitten off more damage than we can chew! Enterprise: Too bad! We're going out in style! Hatsune Miku: Enterprise! You can't die! Enterprise: Back off, all of you! Hatsune Miku: Enterprise... You shouldn't be... Enterprise: Yes, this is my duty. And you should be fulfilling your duty as well, girls. Megurine Luka: Enterprise! Little Hatsune Miku: Don't do it, Enty! Kagamine Rin: The heck are you doing!? Crazy old hag! Enterprise: (screams as she crashes carrier part first into the shield shattering it, but also destroying the part of her carrier too) What are you idiots doing!? That barrier will be right back! GO!!! GET OUT OF THERE!!!! Hatsune Miku: Enough! Enterprise has cleared a route for all of us! We've got to move on... without her! (Little Hatsune Miku cries as Enterprise is about to die soon) Hatsune Miku: So come on... come on! LET'S MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!!!!
When you really think about it I think Fox is more concerned about the cost of his ship then Peppys death. I mean think about it... his ship must cost like a million or so...
Wait a second. If the Great Fox could have destroyed the base with it's guns, what was the point of going down there to destroy the generators in the first place?
@Felixmun8 well yeah he's probably dead now but that's not what I was talking about I was talking about the end of this game not really about command which sucked ass anyway
there's a version in Star Fox Command called Heroes of Old that serves as a theme for both Peppy and James McCloud, but it doesn't have this level of quality
with all this shit going down i don't get why fox can't at least say "damn" instead of "dang",this game is rated t for teen so i don't see much of a problem with it i mean if they orignally named that one place in mario galaxy "hell prominence",then i think fox saying "damn" in a situation like this is understandable, plus damn is such a harmless swear word, its not even a swear
1:39 ''Use the boost to get trough!'' xD Sry but I couldn't help it xD DO A BARREL ROLL xD ......because the trash.......at 1:05.......to deflect it you know.....yeah yeah fine I'm quite now :D
Assault was okay, but what really bugs me is this scene and the overall story of the game; it takes itself too seriously. A series that has goofy talking animals in space suddenly wants to take itself seriously? That doesn't make any sense. And seeing Peppy not dying after all... I guess Bambi's mom didn't die either?
Hudesko I found this scene heartbreaking. I personally think Star-Fox is lined to take itself seriously. I mean, sure the voice acting is a bit cliche at times, but that's really it. I personally think everything else about Star-Fox can be amplified as a more serious tone.
I think they were going in the right direction with the series. Had they expanded on this and executed the gameplay properly it would have been a potential Nintendo masterpiece.
+Hudesko Actually, ejection of the inner part of bridge is absolutely possible. If you play Sector Z mission in Star Fox 64, you can see that Great Fox has a small landing port above her engines, in which you can land Arwing for instant repair. Probably, during the ejection, bridge's inner part flew all the way through ship before exiting it and then was propelled by ship's explosion into space. I think it was normal for Peppy to want to survive and to eject save pod from dying ship.
The last one was just a spin-off though.
Even so, Peppy's got his shit straight.
"Do a barrel roll!!" Fox: "..."

Peppy Hare, one badass bunny 😁
This is one of the parts that made this game incredible.
A scene that makes grown men cry about a cartoon bunny in a standard space alien invasion game. Damn.
"Too bad, we are going out in style", THAT is the only way to go my friend
most badass moment in starfox history
I was expecting:
"Peppy! You can't die!...who's going to tell me to do a barrel roll?!"
Peppy is officially my favorite character. He was a part of the original Star Fox, escaped venom, helped fight in the Lylat Wars, advised the new team, saved pepper, nearly died breaking the second shield, and now leads the Cornerian military. This guy’s done it all and has a hell of a record

In this game Peppy is one badass XD
Slippy made me sad :(
Top 10 Saddest Anime Deaths
When i first played this game I cried at this part.
pretty sad scene, but it was good to see he survived in the end.
This was one of the few videogame scenes which made me cry.
Such a brave Sacrifice. And yes, before anyone says it. I do realise he survived in the end.
This voice acting...is phenomenal.
Luke: peppy what are you crazy
Krystal: peppy
Slippy: don't do it peppy
Falco: what are you doing crazy old fool
Peppy: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Me: NO!

It doesn't kill the humans though, just acts as some super massive EMP.

Wow you're almost like me instead i shut off my console when i got to the Solar boss XD
...did you guys seriously brush off what Jaun just said? that's a pretty rad scenario if you ask me.
aawwww This game brings me back when my gamecube actually worked.
@Brawler1207 that was the song when you first start of starfox on SNES
I'm not gonna lie, the first time I played this part I cried
man, i was pissed when i first saw this. luckily the final cutscene cheered me up. =3
really sad, i was glad that he survived
Some of the lines were REALLY pushing it, but this is the most dramatic Star Fox scene by far. I actually still get goosebumps watching it. Why isn't the theme available???
Peppy DID A BARREL ROLL before dying!
I was actually choking up when I first saw this =( such a better followup to 64 than Adventures...
@LemonTheMighty I think you missed the entire first part. "Don't do it!"
Falco is hard-headed, and has his own way of expressing his emotions. He doesn't want Peppy to die, but says it like that because that's the way he is. And Slippy is the only StarFox member you're allowed to hate lol
dude in the donkey kong 64 intro song, one of the lyrics for chunky kong is "but this kong is one hell of a guy"
donkey kong 64,rated e for everyone
peppy: ALLAHU AKBAR!
after the battle
peppy:hey guys i`m back
fox:NOO i don`t wanna barrel roll another 20 years. please retire yourself for my sense of balance`s sake
@AgentStark427 It also plays for James McCloud in ths game.
Peppy is my hero :)
I know the first time I saw this cutscene I thought the music wasn't nearly dramatic enough for the great pepster's demise, but I was just like "peppy...no" hahaha I thought this game played a bit funky but I love it none the less.
its sort of like the movie Independence Day
Peppy: Hello boys! I'm back!
*peppy runs into the shield* XD
when i saw peppy just blow up the whole plat-form i was like, why did u send me down there to kill all the hatchers? just fire away and blow shit up. >:(
The hell? When the great fox was about to hit, it was going very fast, but somehow, it slowed down fast when it hit. That slow motion or something?
+MultiGuy probably he slowed down a bit if not the great fox could just explode from the impact and peppy only wanted to break the shield
@SporeJunkie89 at the end of starfox assault after credits peppy and rob rejoin fox and every one else you would know if you have played and finished the game
Peppy forgot to do a barrel roll.
heck, he could have at least tried a somersault!
I love that film
Part of me wishes Peppy actually died here to give this more meaning
LONG LIVE PEPPY!!!

What is the music from 00:45 to 02:00?
When you really think about it I think Fox is more concerned about the cost of his ship then Peppys death. I mean think about it... his ship must cost like a million or so...
Good thing he didn't die. ;)

The death star destroys the planet lol
he said he would never have retirement after saving pepper! :(
Peppy was an old guy anyway. It was gonna happen eventually.
People peppy never died he survived by escapeing with R.O.B 64 in an escape ship he is now the general of the cornellia army
WTF! Who says mustn't anymore?!
Wait a second. If the Great Fox could have destroyed the base with it's guns, what was the point of going down there to destroy the generators in the first place?
The aparoid queen used general peppers voice, but did he die? It confuses me.
He didnt. The queen used the voice and memories of those that the aparoids came in contact with.
ok that makes sense
chapinmc2 but if thats so that means they also came in contact whit james....
Jose Ricardo Ortega That whas a year ago since i posted it.. and finally i got awnser.. waow
Coregaming NL but i think she got the informations from pigma since he was part of team star fox till he betrayed james. :p
@Felixmun8 well yeah he's probably dead now but that's not what I was talking about I was talking about the end of this game not really about command which sucked ass anyway
Gotta admit, the Aparoids crawling all over the Great Fox kinda grossed me out.
Dont cry slippy T_T
well, actually, that was just an aparoid wound, just like on the dinosaurs
*SPOILER ALERT* peppy doesn't die
Jokes on you.. I beat this game long years ago.
gave me goosebumps when i first watched this
fucking epic-est game ever!!!! :DDD
I agre with the first part of the comment, but not the part where your happy that the lived.
I don't know what's funnier the comment or the fact it's acctually offended five people.
Fox:PEPPY!! YOU CAN'T DI--
Peppy:Do a barrel roll!!!
Fox: ...
Peppy! PLEASE die!
(Not seriously, I love Peppy.)
There are none.
Why peppy first james later peppy );
What is that song called

Wtf the Great Fox, blow up?? WHY??
1:39 ''Use the boost to get trough!'' xD Sry but I couldn't help it xD

Who Cares!! Fire main canons!! do a barell roll!! no but i cryed at this scene.

NOOOOOO..Why Couldn't Slippy Die Instead?!
Mango something against Slippy?
Why doesn't anyone care that ROB is going to die with him? Robots get no respect in sci-fies...
i cried when i saw this scene....and i'm a guy -_-
Spoiler! Nah kidding, i already knew ^^
Assault was okay, but what really bugs me is this scene and the overall story of the game; it takes itself too seriously.
