America is not left behind! It is just that people in most Asian countries had mobile banking as their first banking. Us already had a well working financial system compared to the Asian countries. The technology exists here but you can't force changes in customer behavior. A lot of the older generation in the Us is used to writing checks, and swiping credit cards, or using cash. Moving to newer technology is seen as an inconvenience to them, however, a lot of the younger generation is already embracing mobile payments such as CashApp, Venmo, and many other digital services used.
