"It's quite an unpleasant feeling"
*smiles*
looks like he aged 30 years at the end of it lmao
thats funny cause people say he ages backwards lol
Brian Cox is just one of those people that can smile through anything........well, until he reached 5g's that is. It took 5g's to force the smile off his face. Even Brian's smile couldn't withstand the force of gravity :D
Haha brilliant!
Yh it’s because Brian’s not a fan of super fast internet so he didn’t like 5G
Exactly! 5g is the UBC ( _Unsmiling Brian Cox_ ) force.
he melted at the end
I wonder what 8 g's would look like...
paul wilson you ever seen a bottle of orange juice where all the solids have settled down to the bottom...?
Damn you Brian Cox! I'm trying to sleep but your documentaries are too interesting.
And his smile returns
omg i love how he continues smiling even though you can tell he is so fucking uncomfortable lmfaoooo
"its quite hard to speak"A AHHAHA
thats madness, i felt so bad for him when he said, "take me down."
Isn't British politeness and reserve grand? Imagine Brian getting tortured, and telling his tormentors :"Oh my, that is quite unpleasant." Would drive them mad, it would ^^.
lol
No
Lol
I'd so pay to go on this. Experiencing a different gravity would be one of a kind.
If you go to Epcot, "Mission Space" takes you up to about 2.5G. What they didn't show was Prof. Cox going through a medical checkup before they allowed him on the centrifuge.
Lol I am happy with the amount of gravity I’m feeling right here on good old earth
thanks for uploading this video.its an amazing one, about gravity, neutron star etc.
I was nervous for him, oh my god!!
I think the trained F-16 fighter pilot that Brian is talking about is Roy Vincken. In the version of this episode I just watched he did the same experiment and went up to 8,5 Gs when he started losing vision.
5 g took that smile away
I was worried if reducing gravity would restore his face
Good vid man
Bitch please, goku went to 100g and his hair still stood up.
idts
I think this was the only scene where he wasn't smiling lol. Don't blame him though. Science is awesome.
At 4:44... does he really say that the planet is called wasp ate bee :'D
+Shivprasad Bavalkar wasp-8b
you're ruining the fun.
Shivprasad Bavalkar :D
He got a lot older looking the stronger the gravity
Good experience.
Fascinating ! 😁
brian cox finally looks like hes aging
Please... Does anybody know what the song is called at around 5:54? I've been wondering for a long time and I don't think it's on the soundtrack.
This is just insane.
If you combine the collective intelligence of the flat earth community, you'd have Brian's left pinky toenail.
They should call this "Brian Cox and the Fountain of Youth"
Remember that we are talking about acceleration. Jupiter gravitation is much more strong that just 5 times earth. For example, if an object is 4 million kilometers from the center of Jupiter it will be pulled by a "force" 300 times greater than if it was situated at the same distance from Earth. So not 2 times.
Can anyone PLEASE tell me the name of the background soundtrack that starts at about 5:18 and ends at about 6:08. I'm literally dying to know what it is. Please!
Because gravity is pulling his face down.Scary shit.
Vegeta trains at 400g to 500g no sweat.
in super saiyan 4 is at about 2,000,000g to 4,000,000g
+ShinyMango117 You do realize that's a fucking cartoon right? Not real life.
+Sofair reaaaalllllyyy??? never would've guessed.
+Sofair Apparently some people are too serious o.o by that i mean you -___- chill mate
Funny you should say that -- Time and gravity are of course relative. Although interestingly, it works in the opposite way. Increases in gravity slow time down, and decreases speed it up...
Did I hear that correctly? Did he say "Very finely tuned" did he just say that? In BBC? I won't believe it until somebody confirms it.
+Sam R What's wrong with that?
I don't think saying something is finely tuned implies agency, if that is what you were thinking of. The very act of evolution is an act of fine tuning, developing in ways that fit your ecosystem. No agency required. So we are very finely tuned. It's our environment that is not finely tuned.
Well, the thing is, if gravity on Earth was say 1.5g then all the specimens on the planet would simply be stronger and more capable of meandering around in the heightened gravity. I honestly think if there were an enormous chamber that could keep a population at 1.5g for quite some time then they would either become significantly stronger or begin to deteriorate under the force, I personally think the former is more likely.
omg this is legitimately one of the freakiest things I have ever seen
Believe it or not a guy survived at 40G
So lower gravity then thw thing spins backwards?
Professor Brian Cox just like Roger Moore in Moonraker, James Bond.☦
Oh he is so gorgeous
It's just like being on the silly silo
With a planet's gravity, the forces converge towards the centre of gravity of the planet. With a centripetal acceleration, the [virtual] centrifugal forces diverge from the centre of acceleration (the centre of rotation), which sort of make it seem more like antigravity, don't you think? When you are in a circular orbit around a planet, the [virtual] centrifugal force cancels out the gravitational force of the planet, so one might think of the [virtual] centrifugal force as [sort of...] antigravity, if gravity and acceleration are considered equivalent (Einstein's equivalence principle).
Totally
Though I liked seeing him go through the process, the information provided was rather sparse. I guess I prefer something with a little more dialogue.
thats how he'll look in 20 years
Sony bbc earth the new show 16th march 2020 the planets please Iam request this show update in youtube.
Jaysus at 5:17 he looks like what Michael Jackson would look like if he was still alive & hit 70.
@xxxCHASEyourDREAMxxx
yeah it was me.
95 more until super saiyan, get to work
Then we should all just do handstands for 2 hours a day ;)
I posted that before the last one and I actually had to look away from the screen it was so bad
This is a demonstration of centrifugal force. I wouldnt say it demonstrates gravity.
Centrifugal force is equivalent to gravity
yea... he is saiyan...
5:16 Mick Jagger
fookin' 'ell i'm ancient innit
he would just pass out, and probably die if the machine just keeps on going for hours....
E=MC²
i wouldnt go in that, my brain needs blood.
Not really lol you have to really try hard to stay awake past 3G's since all the blood from your head/brain will get pulled down away from your brain, and someone untrained will pass out at 6G's usually and die in 20 to 30 seconds after passing out due to the brain dying of lack of oxygen.
what would happen if is the operator accidently broke the machine .... and it want up to 10Gs :P .......would brian cox IMPLODE ???? :P
He's also a cartoon.
Wonder what he'd look like aftet 1,000gs O_O
I like Brian, but I always struggle to listen him because he always talks at a 0.5 speed.
haha you dont pass out because its unpleasant, because you dont get enough oxygen!!
This video made me sad. I mean it was informative but it was like a horror movie. :(
You want to simulate extreme gravity? Corner an f1 car
An F1 car or a fighter jet can't _maintain_ a high g force for more than a few seconds at the time.
Thats a bit scary. almost like he was having a stroke at 5g
At 5G brain looks his age
I look like I'm under 8 g all the time.
this is nothing, Goku trains on 100G.
OMg they are trying to kill Brian cox
haha look at his face...
Does this comment explain gravity? Energy in Matter and Light form follows its location plus its own momentum in spacetime unless acted upon.. basic.. but it "runs" on spacetime to be able to "calculate" or "work" it self out.. apple follows spacetime.. spacetime goes faster towards higher density.. Could spacetime be the physical cpu and RAM an energy needs to be?
Like energy and spacetime sitting up a tree.. then made you, me and Bill Murray. I think..🖖🐶🛀🎶
Looks like the capsule was attacked by a group of Junior high school girls. All those stickers. And these are the people protecting you. Actually they probably aren't.
Yea, cause some stickers on something is definitely a good measurement of how capable someone or something is...
it looked like dbz
I've experienced higher G's when Krion voyagers came to me in my bedroom and took me away to Krion in the Orion nebula, they forced me to mate with their woman non stop, i was wasted after, cool place but the food sucks ass!
its like dragonball Z!!! lolz
too bad we don't know what gravity is...
th-cam.com/video/0iDyhg0BPZA/w-d-xo.htmlm5s lol his face........
bbc
U
Who’s here for school
I feel bad for laugh
Jk
Hi, need to see the full movie for this video. Enter in Google as: "CineHub4U" generally there you will get the complete film.
honestly nice.
Excellent.. It worked for me..
I play fortnite and your mum watches me
old women from corination street
id like to see a woman with a face full of collagen in one these...ya know, for science
Not very cost effective.
Watching this gave me a headache.
he looks like a zombie at 5 gs
Why he is always smiling....what is it that he's hiding ? . Is that a wig? Was he born a female...is he an alien? ....
