One of Maxim Vengerov's most profound masterclasses on TH-cam, so much in it. You sense his movingly deep love of this music, making him so demanding, but in a very kind way. Certainly not easy to digest for Riana, who may still feel at the base of Mount Everest in this lesson after having come a long way. She is a wonderful violinist and greatly kept focus during this lesson. The lack of a big auditorium may have contributed to the intimate atmosphere, more like in a personal lesson than in a public masterclass. We cannot thank enough the Mozarteum for making publicly available these Vengerov masterclasses for free. You are doing a great service to the music world!
I have to learn Deutsch - that's the only Mr. Maxim Vengerov's ability that I can get closer to :-) Thank you for the video - it's a real gem to be able to see such a wizard teaching.
@Pablo de Sarasate Of course he is speaking German - which as I said is the thing I could learn , meanwhile he's one of greatest performers of our time - and that's much harder matter to study :-)
Wow, Danke, so unglaublich gut!!!
Maxim is about large and small gaps, volatility and tranquility, extreme highs and the a sudden collapse. Maxim is extremely intense man. He is sitting like a tiger before the hunt. Soon : Hilary mit Maxim.
I am also confused why she plays so "chopped up", it stops all the time with the beat and the continuous line is missing. She's still very good, but what a huge difference when Maxim plays 😅😅
(was Maestro Vengerov bei seinen Erklärungen auch tatsächlich macht) I don't disrespect, I just disagree.
Her sound is like that of a student playing on a two hundred dollar violin. I wonder what Mr Vengerov would say about Ivry Gitlis' performance of this thing?
@@embvl1380 There is a video of Gitlis playing the Chaconne here on TH-cam. His sound is harsh and his rhythms somewhat erratic but the thing is ALIVE. It is the best Chaconne I ever heard.
She has very good tone but she has to deepen interpretation. Now it is too flat and mechanical. This is Bach and Chaconne for gods sake - every note is full of meaning. You can't just play it through
Is there anyone willing to translate the captions from German to English I would very much like vegerovs insight to this piece without having to piece together the broken auto translate caption

So important all these videos for every musician , thank you for sharing. From Argentina .
Love the way the cords are played broken
14:52 omg Maxim is actually a human
instablaster
I hate it when my e string whistles 😂😭
I've heard worse haha.
But yes, thank goodness he's human!
Grazie Maestro Vengerov!
Vielen Dank 🙏 Maestro!

I don't understand German please add English caption
Dankeschön
We love to watch masterclass with Maxim Vengerov. Would it be possible to put the translation in Portuguese to understand what he says? Please
Interessantissimo, e bravissima anche la violinista
So many thing to learn, so little time to spend.

She is a Student. Be nice!
matur suksma😊
Vengerov e’ un fenomeno 😮
I couldn't understand a fuck, but I like to think I really learned here
Thanks for sharing:')
❤️
God he is so good. He's funny.

@@violinhunter2 one of my favorite recordings from the chaconne are from Novotny and Hahn.
@@embvl1380 Hahn is amazing. Seek out James Ehnes though if you haven't heard his version.

Prasie to all the players. There all good. Noteworthy.

Oh how I wish this had English subtitles.
Edit: I guess the auto generated will have to do
Edit: never mind. They're horrible

That's what I noticed too
Chill buddy she is learning.
She is getting really nervous
I applaud anyone who can maintain a steady bow while playing in front of this Maestro!
