I see you Selena with the Genshin stickers!! Xiao and Zhongli for life. And i love Ashley's health log and i admire the efforts to keep track of health, its inspiring me to start one.
I appreciate the honesty from everyone, on what is working and what is not. It was nice to meet Selena. I too am looking for a health tracking system and I appreciate Ashley's kindness to share. I look forward to watching how everyone finishes their year and what 2025 will look like❤❤
Okay I love I love these. I hope you continue to do this. It is almost like a little bit of therapy and scheduling. As an ADHD person. I really love this. It's my favorite thing you do. Also the pencil case one. I think you should keep inviting artists in to show their pencil cases cuz that is awesome and I'm sure in New York you have a lot to choose from. Alex, you might think about putting quotes that you like in your book that you're trying to fill.
The range of vulnerability is endearing and relatable. I forget how difficult it is to just talk on camera on the internet. The Yoseka owners hire such pleasant people, and I'm sure it's a memorable experience to engage with them at the store. No pity, just well wishes to all...til the next update!!❤
I can relate to Alex’s blank page dilemma. Some folks actually cut those out and transfer them over to use in a ring bound planner so it doesn’t go to waste. Good luck!
I tried using hobonichi cousin in 2016, got quite a few blank pages. I took them out and made a notebook out of them, which I used for journaling. Took a break and started hobonichi again in 2022. Now my journaling is different and I write more, so now I have no problems filling the pages😂
loved this series! it was great to meet new faces and see returning ones 😊 so nice to see ashley! i’m going through some health stuff too so it was helpful to see your weeks!
Thanks Alex and May. ~~ Regarding how to use all those blank skipped pages in your Hobo....I have used the Cousin for years and I have always skipped pages due to getting busy. What I do is I use the dates as page numbers. In other words when I do get back to writing and get to the end of the page but still want to continue writing I note what past date I will go to to finish my thoughts. Then I couple this with an index system in the front "future planning" pages, making a note of when the topic starts. ~~ I mostly use my Cousin as a "Life Notes" book since I'm a Life-long Learner - always researching something 🙂 And I frequently return to past year Cousins to re-read my notes.
İ would say to just go back to the skipped pages and do more sketches. They don't have to take as long as 6 hrs (although I am guilty of that too, I can't seem to do quit sketches, I don't know when to stop and there's always more to add...) just do whatever inspires you and when it's full, it'll be nice to look back on. And you can abbreviate the actual date created, unless you are not worried about the date x
Alex, you could find some prompts and journal in it. I found an article (in Dutch) with 50 questions you should ask yourself. Perhaps a project like that. Another color pen for every entry.
Alex - thank you for showing us your empty pages! It's actually super relatable and reaffirming to see that blank pages happen. No shame, just how it goes sometimes. I had a rough start to the year and have sooo many empty pages. I'm not sure i'm up for filling them in either. I am working on just accepting that life was happening and my planner wasn't my priority. I appreciate you for sharing!
So grateful that Ashley shared the health log. I got long covid this year too so I can relate and I'm actually planning to get a Weeks as a health journal as well so I really appreciate all the good ideas. I hope she finds treatment and gets better soon.
Ashley, Thank you so much for sharing your health journal. I'm been struggling with peri-menopause and need a way to track all of my symptoms. This looks like it could really help me.
I tried to keep a complex health log in a Weekly Vertical Hightide planner bc I have similar problems to those with long covid (having fibromyalgia), but I got too exhausted and it was too much to keep up with. I ended up getting an MD Stand + Diary to simplify things. I use the back pages for doctor's notes, blood pressure, etc. It's mostly keeping track of work, doctor's appointments, and life events. I wanted everything in one spot. Tracking health is so hard especially when you have no energy. My heart goes out to Ashley. When your health tanks with chronic illness it's SO DIFFICULT.
So happy to see Ashley! Ashley is the reason I tried out the Hobonichi Cousin Avec, even though I don't speak/read Japanese (LOL). I have completely converted. I like the structure of the Hobonichi Cousin, though I sometimes choose to not follow it. Bullet journaling, other planner types, never really stuck with me, but the Cousin setup is fantastic. I like the size and all the options. I'm setting up the July-start half of the Avec and it feels like this is something I'll get again in November/December, though I will go with the English-language Cousin next time. Thank you, Ashley!
Thank you so much for MAKING this video!!! I know I'm not the ONLY one who misses days....and I would beat myself up!!! NOW....I KNOW there are others how miss stuff too!!! Going back to fill stuff in is TOTALLY OK!!! THANKS, Yoseka Team!!! 🤓
Thank you for sharing, Yoseka! I also keep a dedicated Hobonichi for health stuff, to track symptoms and manage appointments, and I highly recommend it. Progress is not linear! It’s nice to keep track of the good days too.
The blue-grey Flower Alex did... Holy.. haha Sooo good. Blue-Black, navy, or blue -gray is my favorite color. I love all these videos and hearing how people do their planners. Each ones has their own unique twist on them. Selena's was awesome too. Every ones is really.
Loved this video ❤❤❤. For Alex, some of us just use the hobonichi pages as a notebook and use the dates as an index for important things you'd like to write (commonplace notes or otherwise). 😊
I’m thinking of using the Hobonichi A5 cousin as a reading/media journal where I write my thoughts and reviews. I can use the weeks area as like a schedule of what I’m reading and watching that week. I currently use an A6 day free techo as a reading journal but I found the A6 is a bit small because I use multiple pages for one book. I guess it means I’ll fill it up fast but it just seems cramped and crowded. I wish there was an A5 Hobonichi cousin day free.
Ashley, other that wishing you better health soon I would love to know what nailpolish that is. I bought one that looks sameish but it’s not… and it’s so fresh and fun!
I’ve been using an A6 Hon as a journal and I keep running out of space to write. Sometimes I go back and fill the pages with stickers and washi if I miss a day. The problem I am having now is that the planner is bursting and I’m only halfway through the year 🥲
Can you please tell Hobonichi we need a Cousin without the weekly pages, but keep everything else? That would be my dream journal/planner. Then I use my Weekly for my every day carry. LOL
Right now I am using my weekly pages in my Cousin to track the weather, one thing I am thankful for each day, a loose list of what I eat that day, and any physical activity/my steps for the day. I didn't know what else to do with it.
Strictly anecdotal, but it seems when folks are struggling to "fill up" a Hobonichi planner it's most often the A5 Cousin size. Maybe it's just too big? 🤷♀️
thank you for these 3 videos! I’m feeling inspired about the Midori gradation vs. Take A Note B6 for next year’s work planner. I also love the Hobonichi Weeks size and am not sure what to use it for… but after Ashley’s portion I am considering using it as a budget notebook - if I am brave enough to curb my stationery, etc. spending 🥲
I see you Selena with the Genshin stickers!! Xiao and Zhongli for life. And i love Ashley's health log and i admire the efforts to keep track of health, its inspiring me to start one.
Why everyone in Yoseka is so talented ? It is required to be that talented to work there 🤣
Hi from Spain Ashley
Ashley thanks for sharing the health log. I think I'm going to start one too. Something

I love watching these, it's interesting to see how you all use your books! I hope I can visit the shop one day soon :)

Inspired by the way Ashley uses the weeks monthly view for health log. Can't wait to try the new ideas! 😊

I really appreciate you showing your health log, Ashley! It's made me think about how I could benefit from something like that, I feel so inspired!

Thanks for the health journal. I also have to keep a daily health log so it’s great to see how others do it.

Thank you Ashley for sharing and being open with your health journal to help inspire others 💗
Selena’s handwriting is gorgeous!

THANKS, Yoseka Team!!! 🤓
I’m surprised there’s not so many TRC notebooks! Or TNs in general. But they’re so cool!

The thing in the back of the Midori book is indeed a habit tracker. They used to sell a separate little book with only pages of that layout.
Where can we find Selena's friend's "Visitors in the Garden" art (18:25) 🤩?
Ashley, other that wishing you better health soon I would love to know what nailpolish that is. I bought one that looks sameish but it’s not… and it’s so fresh and fun!
Selena don't leave us hanging!!! What is that Etsy shop name! 🙌

one could use the empty pages to collect sweet funny etc notes from others
Ashley yaaaaaay
