Great reaction. This is not only a beautiful song, the lyrics are deep and meaningful too. It boils down to even in the darkest of times, when it seems things can't possibly get any worse, there seems to be no hope, no future ... light will return and we will illuminate the world in rainbow colours.🌈 "No matter how long the night, the morning will arrive." This video was actually a compilation with film from two concerts last year in January at the Makuhari Messe and in April at the PIA MM Arena. The audio was from the PIA Arena concert. 'Monochrome' is a beautiful song - and they had every crowd they played to last year (nearly 100 concerts in 25 countries) lighting up this "dark dark world" with their mobile phones ... and Su-metal hummed the melody to us. There is a stripped back piano version of 'Monochrome' that you can find on The First Take. If you do another reaction to that you can just sit back, enjoy and wonder at the vocal perfection and beauty of the song ... and turn on the subtitles so you can see the message behind the lyrics for yourself.
Great reaction! You lit up to "Monochrome" yourself, did you notice? 😄 I was absolutely amazed as I recognized what these ladies (girls/kids) and their fabulous Kami Bands did (and still do) to me, by ´just´ performing their art. Energy, good vibes, smiles, positivity... and, with "Monochrome", some light given to this dark, dark world. Su-Metal´s humming is so beautiful, isn´t it? I helped lighting up the world at one of the nearly 100 concerts they did last year, as Grington300 mentioned, and we (4k people) gave them the "oh oh oh oh oh oooh" back, loud and clear. Great moment!
I think I agree with you pretty much 100% on what you said after their performance of Monochrome. One of the reasons why us Babymetal fans love these ladies so much is BECAUSE even through all the fame and attention they receive, they are still so humble about it. They STILL don't really consider themselves special or better than anybody else. These ladies are always so grateful to their fans and in fact consider their fanbase as not a fanbase at all, but as a part OF Babymetal because they know there wouldn't BE Babymetal without the fans. That is one of the reasons why they always try to include the audience as much as possible. They also have made a song which is for the Fans. It's pretty much a love letter to the fans. Su-Metal, the singer, ALSO tries her hardest to show the upmost respect to each country they perform in by learning a bit of every language of the countries they perform in. Then during their concert, she'll say the couple of sentences she learnt in that language as a sign of respect. These ladies are truly angels as far as we're concerned I think. They've done so much good. I've read comments from fans saying that Babymetal literally saved their lives as they were about to end things with the world. But discovered Babymetal and that cheered them up enough that they didn't feel the need to end things. Instead they fought through their depression. I've read instances of people going through major depression, and same thing, or people going through a bad point in their life, like me, and Babymetal helped them through that difficult patch. I hope they are able to help you as well as they've helped so many other people. They're good, honest, adorable, and kind girls that seem to be full of love and spirit. They are very passionate about what they do, and they enjoy doing it, which you can see and feel in each and every song they do. I hope you enjoy this journey and I hope they help make your journey a little easier!
Nice reaction man and keep going with your sobriety :) If you like to see this crowds, I really recommend you "Road of Resistance" live in PIA Arena 2023. I still get emotional every time to see the crowd loving them and see them really happy.
Great Reaction! I have been listening to babymetAl for over a decade and have been to many of their live shows, but I still don't know exactly why these three talented girls decided to walk away with metal. They were not KIDS who grew up in back alleys, but honest young ladies who grew up. After more than a decade of metal, it's no longer just about the money. One of them left the band. But when you reach the stage these days where they are actually writing lyrics and expressing themselves, it's hard to find words other than dedication to their fans. Listening to this monochrome song that implies a concern for the war, one can only thank the three of them. I am thankful for that, and it always brings me to tears.
This one might have hit you on an emotional level for a few reasons. The song is about overcoming bad times in the past and looking forward with positivity and rebuilding. Even without the words, you can still feel it. There is genuine love between the crowd and the performers, as well as it looking beautiful and awe inspiring, again you can feel it. The songwriter, singer, dancers, and band are all geniuses at what they do, so it's sublime art. It's an objective 10/10 song and performance. Also, who the hell can mezmerize an entire arena by humming, lol. I think Su might be a magical elf that escaped from a Legend of Zelda game sometimes.
It must be the best moment for a frontman / frontwoman of a band when they hear an arena-full of people singing their song back like this. It's rare to see Su-Metal getting emotional but for a split second she shows a different face at 13:25. She is definitely holding back her tears. BABYMETAL's crowd was always like this, at the beginning just for supporting the kids (wait until you learn about the white t-shirt guy) nowadays it's just letting everything loose and having the most amount of fun possible in a concert.
Oh, it is like this (support the ladies) even these days... watch the Brazilians at Audio Sao Paulo singing "Metali!" together with Momometal... Su-Metal´s and Moametal´s reaction to this is priceless! (and I bet that this reaction was intended by the crowd 😁 There´s a YT Short showing it, you should find it using the search). One word: wholesome! 😄
@@Wolfpack94487 I've said it before, I am not sure whether it is the fans going to concerts to see BM, or it is BM going to concerts to see the fans. The fancam videos from the recent shows were amazing.
@@traylor2502 Hehe, it is both ways 😄 The ladies often talked about that in interviews... that they love to see their fans, die hard fans, new fans, new audiences in known places etc. etc... it´s a great show for them, watching the crowd😉
stop the war... yes, maybe it quite matches your reaction in the song "Monocrome" by Baby Metal... because the meaning of the lyrics of this song, in my opinion, describes how gripping, sad, scary and suffering caused by the war itself... yes, Japan I've felt that... but whatever happens face it with positivity and just smile...🙏🙏🦊🦊🦊
Babymetal are the best and you should continue reacting to them but you should also check out Sakura Gakuin, the J-Pop group that gave birth to Babymetal in 2010. They are the ones that I go to when I need cheering up. Their song "Song For Smiling" is perfect for just that occasion.
Just what you needed after all the doom and gloom you read this morning. What better than this song to bring the positive vibes . BabyMetal know when they are needed it's strange how it happens a lot 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

I love your Louis Amstrong intermede with palm, waves and sunglasses… 😎 It’s pleasant to see you so creative and it probably gives you a little boost of motivation? 😉 I think we need to protect ourselves a little bit from the daily mountain of horror news, otherwise we suffocate. What amaze me the most about your love for surfing is that you were fearing so much the ocean at first! Waow. 🌊 For me, piano is less risky… 🎼
i think you pretty much have to do monochrome first take piano version now! first take is a channel in which the artists go in to a studio, get hot mics, and one take to record. it's just su and moa as it was recorded right before momo became the permanent third. i'm a 44 year old powerlifter. i listen almost exclusively to 80s and 90s death and thrash metal. monochrome first take makes me cry every single fucking time. i had no idea music could even do that to me.
Be sure to check for captions, The words mean so much more. This is a compilation, sometimes you can't tell (like here) unless you've seen the full version already. Sometimes it's very clear (different outfits, stage changes from shot to shot). In any case , enjoy life and Babymetal!
Knew you would like that one. 😊 if you want to see the beginning, try iine mv. Kinda of a microcosm want is to come from babymetal. Have a great day my friend
About staying sane... yes, take care of yourself, but also remember: the things you see on IG and on the news: are the exceptions, most of the world is not crazy, they are peaceful. Part of why these wars look so bad, is because we've had very little wars after WW II, if you go back hundreds of years, wars were much more common. This means the world is more sane now than in the past.
The main singer of Babymetal has mentioned in an interview how performing is a bit addicting. But clearly she got the right people around her or has the right mindset to not have it derail her life. Her biggest love is singing, she has also mentioned when Babymetal wasn't touring/work on songs, etc., she was singing Karaoke sometimes for 8 hours in a row (!). Babymetal has performed in front of crowds like Download festival in the UK, at least 80 000 people (some say 90 000), that same tour later that year they had their own biggest show in Japan, it was 2 nights of 55 000 people at Tokyo Dome. Yes, it was a big show, but after having done these big festivals, they said: it's surprising how 55 000 doesn't feel that big anymore. 🙂
Yes the fast information society we living is tricky for sure. The world is probably more peaceful in whole. At the same time it depends on where you living and the conditions you are faced with, but I agree.
