We shouldn't abandon the traveler, but having all of our assets in one city, is a little less than ideal, spread over multiple systems and you always have a fall back
To be honest, when you consider all the threats, guardians have overcome, it seems laughable to anyone who's ever read a history book, that the city hasn't expanded it's territory.
This is why I side with them. I’m no fan of abandoning the traveler. However, most of our enemies are powerful because they have the resources of entire empires of Star systems. We only survive their onslaught because of human ingenuity and the travelers light, but if we were to have the resources of multiple star systems, and have safe havens for humans across them instead of just on earth, we might just be able to defeat our enemies in a more permanent manner.
I have always had a soft spot for DO. Mostly because, I agree that Earth and The Last City are a bit of a rat trap for the Guardians. Look at how easily the Red Legion was able to destroy the Tower, and (story wise) wiped out the Vanguard and its Guardians while pinned in such a confined area. Plus, the idea of exploring new worlds and finding new home bases is exciting. Too bad we won't be doing any of that in game.
But at the same time, we would lose our powers and abilities if we abandoned the traveler, for something would come and steal the light, just like Ghaul did, and then where would we be
Us factions are not at war,We stand together as the Factions of the city. As the New Monarchy will help re stabilize the government. The FWC will hold the line if we are attacked again. And when the time is to flee,Dead Orbit will evacuate to protect the citizens. Together We Will Rise
Liam Hoeft I got royally fucked by SirDimetrious during the last month before D2's release. It was supremacy and he was using one of his "shitty" builds for the game xD
I like Dead Orbit. honestly reasons 2 and 3 is what I like about them, colonize beyond again. but i have a 4th reason why I like them, they run to fight another day, why die today with an unsure victory without the necessary info, when you can run, collect what you know, get info then hit the criticals. also aesthetic AF
Byf, comparisons between Dead Orbit and the Fallen aren't warranted. The Fallen have refused to abandon the Traveler, this obsession has driven them to follow it no matter what. Dead Orbit is at least willing to leave the Traveler in the hopes of increasing Humanity's chances of survival.
I mean, seeing how you are literally forced to flee from the city with all the other guardians at the start of D2, I think Dead Orbit's argument is pretty valid. imagine if something even tougher than the red legion showed up.
Urm well if we were not there then the sun would have been destroyed, the traveler taken and a new god of the light.... so dead orbit would have doomed us too a much stronger foe?...
The Smoo by gving us space battles. jumping from one enemy motership to another. having the factions realy show what they do and what they have been gathering material for. dog fights. an even more exciting game.
I am mostly a Future Warcult supporter. Mostly because I could never ever support a faction which effectively wants to install a dictator. For all the good New Monarchy does I can only say: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Byf, I appreciate your videos and all the work you are doing, I've learned alot about D and D2 through you. And these factions videos have been very informative. Thanks a ton. I like the idea of NM but having a single leader will only work if that single leader is "good". FWC catches my eye the most but i can't help but think that they could be manipulated by the Vex. So i joined Dead Orbit (mainly for the scout rifle) becuase I am a realist, and having a mobal force that knows that it's better to stay alive to fight another day, but who will take risks when appropriate is the best approach in my opinion.
So, I really haven't been playing long and no one I run with has said anything about this... Just happened across it this morning by accident. :) Lots of fun to be had! Thank you for the video
Supported them in Destiny 1 but with the Traveler awake and the Speaker dead, I've chosen this time to support New Monarchy. We'll conquer space, not just flee into it.
I pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit of the Last City on Earth, to the Tower for which it stands, one faction, under the Traveler, indivisible, with gear and black shaders for all.
Sounds cool but makes no sense. Dead Orbit wants to leave. They dont care what happens to the city. Lol. As in F the City, F the traveler it brought the issues here. And F the tower lol
I've always viewed them as the third type ever since I started reading the flavor text of the gear in D1. And the new Item names in the Rise of Iron cemented that idea.
I just discovered your channel today, and have watched a bunch of your videos. I feel like there should be a way to Petition Bungie to have you Voice a Cryptarch in one of the expansions. You and your team deserve it.

Ive always been pledged to Dead Orbit since D1, it was a bonus that Stormare did Jallal's VO, but now even more so. UNYIELDING ALL THE factions helped evacuate, and New Monarchy actually helped save the majority of the people. Dead Orbits ships are within the city and very few ships actually left, no where near as many as dead orbit has could have left the tower without prior information of the attack.
Aries Oginaro except New Monarchy claims they evacuated the most, what evidence other than them saying it backs them up? It's shady that they're trying to make it a competition rather than just saving people.
Kevin McMuffin no. Civilians praising him does not mean he saved the most. But he is giving out supplies to the survivors, which is a different matter when you realize the other factions are fulfilling different roles. Also, Dead Orbit and FWC were the only factions prepared to leave the tower, New Monarchy was supposedly prepared to stay and fight. This new quote only makes them look suspicious about what they are actually doing and if what they say can be trusted.
Byf, I was wondering if you could link the soundtracks you use in your description. Sometimes you put real good ones but I don't know how to find it because I don't know the name nor the artist. You putting it in the description would be a nice way to break said barrier :) Otherwise, once again another great video! Yours is the only channel where I straight up cant find a bad video! Not only that, your so generous with your Patreon. In a ocean of TH-camr's whom are money hungry and are borderline scammers, your a special one. You don't want any of the money your fans directly spend on you because of *your* work. You'd rather give it to the community. I respect that. Truly. So I just want to say, keep up the good work. My life has definitely gotten better since watching you and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I look at Dead Orbit similar to humanity in TV shows like Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek, or video games like Mass Effect. Humanity has this drive to explore, colonize, and become something greater. Who knows, maybe by escaping the solar system we find other beings of Light hunting down the Darkness. Leaving the Solar System is a path to the Galaxy. Who knows what we will find.
XxMobius48xX I heard someone say there was another type of power that was neither light nor dark. If it's true that's what I'm interested in obtaining as a dead orbit member
XxMobius48xX It is a false interpretation to see their want to flee as curiosity or the desire to explore. They are self described nihilists. That is not a philosophy that encourages positive exploration. Rather it encourages hiding.
I liked Dead Orbit in D1 because some of the shaders like Revenant looked awesome but now the shaders in D2 looks just meh. New Monarchy and Future War Cult shaders look better
I love the whole 'exploring the far reaches of the solar system' angle of my Space Goths. They may be necessary one day in securing or scouting-out future settlements.
It's easy to call Dead Orbit pessimists. It's easy to call them edgelords and emos. But the reality is, they were right. How many people expected the Traveler to magically wake up when the Red Legion attacked. Holiday did. Dead Orbit was right, the Traveler only awoke now, and even then who's to say what is going to happen. Dead Orbit teaches that Humanity needs to spread out to prevent us from being wiped out. I've always seen it as broad colonialism. The Fallen, the Vex, the Cabal and the Hive can't end all of humanity if we're not all under a giant ball in one city. Hawthorne and the Farm only exist because everyone being cooped up in the City wasn't working for them. We need to reach for the star again, and we can't-do that by focusing on the probabilities that COULD make up our future, and it won't be solved by some King, or worse people who sit around waiting for a King like they've waited for a Dead God to wake up. The Red LEgion attacked and almost wiped us out because we decided our walls were good enough. Zavala said it himself. "Walls don't just keep out our enemies, they keep us in...The City is anywhere and everywhere Humanity steps foot. We will venture outward." So sure, call us edgelords, call us space emos, and pessimists. Enjoy your jokes. FWC can talk all they want about "how they saw the Red War coming". New Monarchy can conflate their numbers to make themselves look as good as they want. But Dead Orbit was right. Our future isn't to die under a Dead God. It's to seek out the stars and establish a new age of exploration. Because we can't trust anyone but ourselves to secure humanity's future.
This is completely invalidated by the fact that Dead orbit wants to leave the traveler. They dont just want to spread out humanity. Once they left their sanction of light, the darkness would consume them and change them as it did to those who fleed during the collapse. Both other factions were invaluable to the city's evacuation. DO merely provided a small number of their fleet
Templar That's incredibly implossible. This is making the Darkness somehow akin to radiation. It's not. And a "small number" of their fleet is more than the other two factions have, perhaps combined. A bit of conjecture here, but where did they say the only have a portion of their ship. Not saying it doesnt, I'm not familiar with that piece of lore.
Gage Crewe Was this before or after Dead Orbit satellites picked up on it? Also, they don't see THE future. They see A future. Sometimes several. Saying vague things about war being inevitable doesn't count as calling it.
TriSkeith the first section about the consuming and changing them is a reference to the Awoken in the Reef. As for the ships I'm not sure where it came from, however I am sure it came from scannables in the new Tower
I think it is important to support each faction for what each one brings. Dead Orbit might be incorrect in terms of wanting to flee from everything. However, I think that spreading humanity among the stars would be beneficial. With the New Monarchy building up the home front, I don't see why humanity should not venture out a bit. At the very least we could start to get some better scouting of our system and set up galactic communications. I am sure Rasputin would not mind expanding.
Archemedis DaVinci Unlikely, DO has the bulk of its agents stationed in the city most of the time as they can't afford to send too many ships out at once. Resources for large scale space travel are sparse.
Unlikely. Remember there was a mission in the Taken King that Zavala asked the guardian to investigate a signal sent directly to the Cabal Empire? He said " Thanks for the tip ( from Dead orbit)" who provided such valuable intel. The signal was intercepted by Dead Orbit and relayed to the Tower as an early warning.
I'm loyal to new monarchy, but when I get my other two characters too level 20 I'm going for the other 2 factions cause I'm a loot whore, and cause I like dead orbits hand cannon over every other hand cannon I've used in this game, and cause fwc has dope ass shaders
Chris Baker there ideas didn't just form around the traveller being dead/asleep. They realized that even if the traveller awoke, they couldn't depend on it forever. We still don't know that the traveller is actually doing anything. Sure, it's putting itself back together, but that's all we see it doing. But from a gear perspective, that Dead Orbit scout is probably sick.
I buy in to the exploration philology of the DO. I also see them as exodus colonists bound for the stars and planets outside of Sol. If the fallen, hive, and cabal can come into our system, why cant we leave also?
While watching this video a theory came up in my mind and it went a little like this. In maybe the 1/2nd Dlc the cabal and fallen/the taken queen/the vex (and any new type of race that may come into play) will try to take away or destroy the tower and the traveler. And all of the factions must come and help save all humanity, FWC will provide the guns and men for our front defense and the on coming attack, dead orbit will be getting all woman and children onto the ships and will be providing cover in the skies, and when you get to a new planet (let's call it "X-9" just for fun) and the 7 merits of the New Monarchy will come into play someone from the vanguard (someone trust worthy) will begin to set some rules and rebuild the city, a new city where we can still defend humanity. Oh and I'm hoping we get to fight the leviathan of titan that would be dope! -Landin Now -P.S. Byf if you read this Plzzzzz read my theory and ask ppl what they think, I'm not asking for you to make a whole video for this one theory just to bring it up that's all thx! P.P.S. your my favorite destiny YT-ber
I understand the likes when the videos only out for 3 minutes. but two dislikes? Who in their right mind rushes to a video within minutes of release to DISLIKE a video before they watch it? I mean... that's just a sad life.
bots or people who don't want videos like this on their recommended, i sometimes dislike videos I watch just for curiosity just because I don't want that type of video to appear on my recommended
I found your lore channel and enjoy it thoroughly. I was doing a bit of digging, trying to find out why the Vanguard has no Capital ships. No wonder ketch can drop in whenever they want, we have no ships to stop them. I mean yes we have jump ships, but they arent even fighter ships hardly, according to their description. In all of your lore hunting have you found anything that suggests where or what has happened to our fleet, that every race would need to successfully defend its planets?
I'm a Dead Orbit loyalist since the first game, course I don't take it seriously cause it's a game after all. But I do wonder, if the factions will be plunged into war.
In Destiny 1, I gravitated to Dead Orbit for no particular reason. Now that I have actually seen the lore behind all the factions, my favorite is actually FWC
Are we just going to ignore the fact Dead Orbit was right all along? What happened when the Red Region invaded? There was a planetary retreat. Zavala didn't even care about protecting the Traveler, only the people. FWC the faction that should have been preparing for this, fell. New Monarchy fail because their structure of power can easily be Vito by the Vanguard. How sad is that for a Monarch? Now the Traveler awoken some sort of new race or a lost Family of the Hive, and of course Humanity has to deal with this new threat that is coming for our planet like every other threat...
LordMonticrystal New Monarchy values the people. They literally can't vote in a Monarch without both FWC and DO agreeing. FWC already has seen the end numerous times, so the fight was actually expected. DO fleeing may of done nothing without the Traveler's light. Not to mention, the Darkness wiped out humans who tried fleeing and those who survived ended up in the reef as awoken. Plus, you only have to look to the Fallen to see one glaring possibility if humanity did follow that ideology which ironically has a system that resembles a monarchy that is split. One that is constantly at war as well.
I heard someone make mention of a power that was neither light nor dark within the universe. Has anyone else heard of this? If it's true then dead orbit wouldn't have necissarly needed the light, power could've been aquired in another way
corexisguhmazin The problem is that the Darkness given how it responds to light would assault DO guardians. Non guardians may be subjected to a similar effect the reef bound Awoken were, but that's not a very bright future given everything. Which is unfortunate.
If you payed attention during the introductions, you hear the fwc rep state directly that with the knowledge they aquire they helped rescue and evacuate both guardians and civilians from the last city. If they would have fallen then they wouldn't be in the tower now would they Ô-Õ
At the end do you say My name has been - mynameisbyf? I didn't understand you on that part lol, thanks for the videos man, you really help me understand the lore a shit ton better than the game puts out and honestly I'd rather watch your videos than figure it all out myself. I would love to play with ya on ps4 one day!
Let's face it, the only faction lore vids you had to make are for NM and DO because they're the only ones that matter. Dead Orbit and the rest of anyone who has any decency will forever be head to head with any of those suicidal lunatics at New Monarchy (ugh). Meanwhile, Future War Cult will forever be sitting in the corner fantasizing about war whilst eating glue like an idiot
I mean, FWC literally told everyone about the Red War and no one listened, this whole situation could have been avoided if they had gotten support, meanwhile DO wants to run away from the one source of power that holds against the darkness, because I can almost assure you the Traveler would deactivate the ghosts, and then where would we be without that, AND if we fled from the traveler we would leave it defenseless, to where another like Ghaul could steal its light and become a LITERAL GOD
They want to abandon the only thing keeping them alive, theyre the windowlicker faction of destiny end of story. 😂 only good thing about them is a shader hahaha
I have no real ties to either but between; dumb fucks that literally wanting to abandon the only reason theyre still alive warmongering robots that have lost or are slowly losing all their humanity and what they were or a a last resort clause for a king that cant be removed unless they die (you know, like most kings/queens of human history) the third is the easiest and most logical by a mile, especially considering they wanted Zavala for the job. So this whole evil dictator thing is crap, if they wanted a hostile takeover with a selfish piece of shit leader, they would be running the joint right now or we wouldve had to remove them from power. Not to mention Earth is basically a monarchy already with the Vanguard/Speaker as those in charge and the guardians as the army looking over the civilians under its protection. Quite an easy choice when its based off philosophy alone, but lets be real. Most people pick because of shaders, nothing else hahaha
If Dead orbit were cowards they would have left already they literally want everyone to leave with them theyre the realistic/smart and brave cause there only still here to protect the people and maybe save them one day
carlos A barrera i never said they were cowards, nor did i say they werent brave. I said their ideology is ridiculous (stupid to be exact) as without the traveler their is no guardians and without guardians humanity is fucked against the other forces hunting/against them.
I just have one of each faction on my 3 characters... Warlock 299 - New Monarchy - There Guns, Armor, and Shaders all catch my likings Titan 300 - FWC - Guns Hunter 302 - Dead Orbit- Armor, Shaders, ( Maybe there guns I've only gotten a shotty twice so far ). What faction did your Guardian pledge to?
If you didn't search it up, A113 is a Disney reference. The some of the animators at Disney (I don't remember exactly who they were) shared a dorm room at CalArts. Their dorm room? A113. The animators at Disney have been hiding A113 in their movies for a while now. Keep a lookout for them 😉
Where ever we go, we need to bring a seperated shard of the traveler with us so we can terreform the planet/supply the guardians with light if they lose light. So, basically, bring a mini traveler where ever we colonize
I'm glad that we have these factions. The city couldn't survive without them. New Monarchy to help the people, Future War Cult to protect them, and Dead Orbit to collect new places to call home. It's all a great synergy in my honest opinion.
Don't know if this has been said prior, but there is a new scannable in the Exodus Black Lost Sector after you clear out the Fallen. The dialogue changes based on what faction your aligned with. I haven't found any other lost sector with this yet
We shouldn't abandon the traveler, but having all of our assets in one city, is a little less than ideal, spread over multiple systems and you always have a fall back

"Dead" intitle. TH-cam:DEMONETIZED
Us factions are not at war,We stand together as the Factions of the city.
As the New Monarchy will help re stabilize the government.
The FWC will hold the line if we are attacked again.
And when the time is to flee,Dead Orbit will evacuate to protect the citizens.
Together We Will Rise
Headshot Hunter Cayde will be petting his chicken during this
Now THIS I can get behind! All factions dedicated to a role, but all working together.
Could you imagine being a my name is Byf fan only to go against him in trials and then see yourself get wrecked in a video?
Liam Hoeft i'd be honored to have my ass kicked by byf
Liam Hoeft I got royally fucked by SirDimetrious during the last month before D2's release. It was supremacy and he was using one of his "shitty" builds for the game xD
Liam Hoeft Meh, it doesn't really matter that much.
Liam Hoeft, He would lose BAD LOL n I'm going 2 camp Out n wait 4 him hehe
My name is LOOKING4CAMPERS DO I SAY MORE HMMM 🤔 A C A M P E R HEHE
Dead Orbit is the smartest choice in my opinion we have the best weapons and like Byf said we have the largest fleet and prepared to move when needed.
Hey can you do some stuff on failsafe and the exodus black
I like Dead Orbit. honestly reasons 2 and 3 is what I like about them, colonize beyond again. but i have a 4th reason why I like them, they run to fight another day, why die today with an unsure victory without the necessary info, when you can run, collect what you know, get info then hit the criticals. also aesthetic AF

Criminalupper2200 yes like when the darkness returns like in the end cutscene
We're fucked
Urm well if we were not there then the sun would have been destroyed, the traveler taken and a new god of the light.... so dead orbit would have doomed us too a much stronger foe?...
Criminalupper2200 nah how would bungee make money if all the guardians fucked off to space?
The Smoo by gving us space battles. jumping from one enemy motership to another. having the factions realy show what they do and what they have been gathering material for. dog fights. an even more exciting game.
Before the traveler reawoke fleeing Earth made sense. Now that it is awake I have to think about it more
Thank you for not screwing up these videos like Sir Wallen, you're a worthy Warlock for representing the factions in an unbiased manner.
I am mostly a Future Warcult supporter. Mostly because I could never ever support a faction which effectively wants to install a dictator. For all the good New Monarchy does I can only say: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
this comment didnt age well
Byf, I appreciate your videos and all the work you are doing, I've learned alot about D and D2 through you. And these factions videos have been very informative. Thanks a ton.
I like the idea of NM but having a single leader will only work if that single leader is "good". FWC catches my eye the most but i can't help but think that they could be manipulated by the Vex. I was waiting for this all day. Byf never fails to disappoint!
K
TotallyNotInsane I gotta disagree, the video should've been released BEFORE faction rally began.
So, I really haven't been playing long and no one I run with has said anything about this... Just happened across it this morning by accident. :) Lots of fun to be had! Thank you for the video
As jack sparrow has once said " we must fight.. to run away."
I gotta say man, your videos are amazing and informative. I love watching them. Keep up the good work!
Space Edgelords
SirSwaggsAlot No edges in space, only death. Join Dead Orbit today!
I mean, you're not wrong...
Lmao 💀
For real now... I don't know if someone ever mentioned this, but YOU ARE the Vaatividya of Destiny. Keep it up!
Supported them in Destiny 1 but with the Traveler awake and the Speaker dead, I've chosen this time to support New Monarchy. We'll conquer space, not just flee into it.
Numunu1 same I was a dead Orbit person in destiny one but after the events of destiny 2 the Future war cult seemed like a much better choice
I feel like FWC doesn't care about anything except being on the winning side any war no matter the victor...
This ^
I’ve changed my ways, the city must not fall!
But I’m with FWC tho, they predicted the Red War and no-one listened.
Doom Hunter, same
Wait, totally unrelated, BUT THE SPEAKER DIED!? I haven't finished the main game yet?!
Also have a nice day.
I genuinely love you for all this work Byf and other video contributors
I pledge allegiance to Dead Orbit of the Last City on Earth, to the Tower for which it stands, one faction, under the Traveler, indivisible, with gear and black shaders for all.
*quietly right clicks and copies*
Give this guy more likes.
Sounds cool but makes no sense.
Dead Orbit wants to leave. They dont care what happens to the city. Lol. As in F the City, F the traveler it brought the issues here. And F the tower lol
NinjaGaming im triggered im gonna hide in a locker room before the game
Degrees Beliw lol just about to type that as well
Loved this series on the factions, keep up the good work Byf!
Can you make a video on the unknown trials space? Would be a great video.
idk if byf or anyone knows much about it at this moment in time just yet
Thought he did already.
I've always viewed them as the third type ever since I started reading the flavor text of the gear in D1. And the new Item names in the Rise of Iron cemented that idea.
Dead orbits the best but I felt the need to pick all 3 titan for new monarchy huner for dead orbit and warlock for fwc
I just discovered your channel today, and have watched a bunch of your videos. I feel like there should be a way to Petition Bungie to have you Voice a Cryptarch in one of the expansions. You and your team deserve it.
90% of dead orbit pledgers are in it for the shader but I'm in for the escape of the city
I'm in it to escape our solar system, to explore new world, spread out among the stars....and for the shaders.
Im in it for both, considering the darkness is heading to our solar system and probably doing worse than what the red legion did.
Ya know, Crush 40, the band behind some Sonic music, would probs be down with DO.
Rollin around at the speed of sound got places to go got to follow this keyhole!
Escaping the City
Commenting on an old video, ik, but I think each faction has it's good uses to the City and it's people.
New Monarchy helps fill the purpose of community management for the City on Earth.
FWC, in it's "paranoia" helps arm and counsel Guardians in defense of the City now and in the future.
and Dead Orbit would be one of the first groups I'd look to to start shuttling people offworld should the worst come to pass.
i was dead orbit in d1 , i think im gonna branch out and go new monarchy
dont worry ill still be with the space emos on my hunter ;)
Saint Zenith who's your main
Titan
Warlock or
Hunter
My main reason for not choosing this faction was because I perceived the message that they are not just spreading out among the stars, but leaving Earth altogether. I was more moved by New Monarchy who said something akin to we owe it to stay by the Traveler's side. I tend to agree with this because of the events from the Main Story's cinematic with Ghaul and the Traveler's awakening. I do not want to leave the Traveler or try to drag it along for the ride.
Haven't seen the whole video but I predict that it has Byf's incredibly sexy voice and destiny lore
Ive always been pledged to Dead Orbit since D1, it was a bonus that Stormare did Jallal's VO, but now even more so. One of the things that seems to be a recurrence with the Traveler is that after a brief time of things going well, destruction follows and leaves the previous planet and inhabitants drained.

UNYIELDING very true
Blu not to mention FWC and Dead Orbit are the only factions that would be prepared for a planetary evacuation.
You putting it in the description would be a nice way to break said barrier :)
Otherwise, once again another great video!
Dead orbit is the true path
So I was waiting for this vid to come out I look away for 1 min and this is up
Hey Byf how are ya?
The spicy ramen 🍜 Emote is PERFECECT
Rather it encourages hiding.
love you lore vids and your channel as a whole.
Fwc ftw. That hand cannon tho. And those archetypes.
A Praetorian Ah yes, I too, like looking like a fruit roll.
AlphaXbox I couldn’t care less about the shaders (although in destiny 1 y1 I grinded so hard to collect all 9 before they basically gave them away)
I like all their weapons except the sniper. I like the auto rifle the best. Its so good for pvp.
That handcannon is godly. I have it and it has turned into the best PvE handcannon in the game for me.
AlphaXbox I'd prefer that than looking like an edgelord who blasts Linkin park 24 hours a day
Your videos fill “a lot” of gaps. Thanks
I liked Dead Orbit in D1 because some of the shaders like Revenant looked awesome but now the shaders in D2 looks just meh. New Monarchy and Future War Cult shaders look better
Oryx, The Taken King hey didnt my guardian friends kill you?
We will venture outward."
So sure, call us edgelords, call us space emos, and pessimists.
It's not just 'saw it coming.' FWC have a device that can literally see into the future and they used it to predict the Red War.
Dead Orbit probably tipped off the Cabal on how to attack the City.
Archemedis DaVinci
Unlikely, DO has the bulk of its agents stationed in the city most of the time as they can't afford to send too many ships out at once. Resources for large scale space travel are sparse.
Unlikely due to the fact that they wanna escape from harm and explore the stars not freakin guide the enemy to the front door. Lol
Archemedis DaVinci any evidence
I agree DO sold us out to force his agenda of going into space and leaving earth. Traitor.
I said fwc for life yesterday, but man that new new monarky hunter arromor and sharers were to good to pass up.
why is everyone loyal to one faction I just have one character in each faction that way i get rewards no matter who wins
UnbidGryphon 45 same
traitor
Wojciech Chomiak your telling me in Destiny 1 you didn't have a Hung Jury because you were role playing? Lmfao
Same here. My Warlock supports the edgelords, Hunter supports the cult, and Titan supports the Monarchy
I'm loyal to new monarchy, but when I get my other two characters too level 20 I'm going for the other 2 factions cause I'm a loot whore, and cause I like dead orbits hand cannon over every other hand cannon I've used in this game, and cause fwc has dope ass shaders
"Of course we're running. We don't want to die." -Dead Orbit slogan
Join the Space Emos that want to run and flee. But hey; we have cool shaders! (Half the population joins for the shader only)
Join every other faction we have cool Lore and cooler things than just a monochrome shader
I like dead orbits shaders.
Before the traveler reawoke fleeing Earth made sense. Now that it is awake I have to think about it more
Chris Baker there ideas didn't just form around the traveller being dead/asleep. They realized that even if the traveller awoke, they couldn't depend on it forever. We still don't know that the traveller is actually doing anything. Sure, it's putting itself back together, but that's all we see it doing. But from a gear perspective, that Dead Orbit scout is probably sick.
Benjamin Sanchez You understand more than all those dead orbit fanboys combined, well done
-Landin Now
-P.S. Byf if you read this Plzzzzz read my theory and ask ppl what they think, I'm not asking for you to make a whole video for this one theory just to bring it up that's all thx!
P.P.S. your my favorite destiny YT-ber
Landin Now so by someone trustworthy you mean we should Definitely send Cayde Got it
Landin Now There is no queen
Doom Hunter lol yeah I was first thinking cayde
So repeat the campaign but with another race?
We've been waiting for this !!
I understand the likes when the videos only out for 3 minutes. but two dislikes? Who in their right mind rushes to a video within minutes of release to DISLIKE a video before they watch it? I mean... that's just a sad life.
probably two people who are from New Monarchy
edit: a word
bots or people who don't want videos like this on their recommended, i sometimes dislike videos I watch just for curiosity just because I don't want that type of video to appear on my recommended
Because its almost not tuesday anymore
onedeadsaint u wot m8
Christopher Stoffregen they didnt like the dead orbit jokes
I found your lore channel and enjoy it thoroughly. I was doing a bit of digging, trying to find out why the Vanguard has no Capital ships. No wonder ketch can drop in whenever they want, we have no ships to stop them. I mean yes we have jump ships, but they arent even fighter ships hardly, according to their description. In all of your lore hunting have you found anything that suggests where or what has happened to our fleet, that every race would need to successfully defend its planets?
Dark Hoenir, I think part of the philosophy is that guardians can transmat onto enemy ships if needed.
A WILD GAMESAGER APPEARS
Gamesager Haha! 😆
I am SO GLAD you commented this Anthony, by the way, how are the brows? Been a while.
Gamesager go play titanfall 2
Knew it was you who popped up
I was thinking about you ! We shall flee together across the stars Lord Sager jahaal
I'm a Dead Orbit loyalist since the first game, course I don't take it seriously cause it's a game after all. But I do wonder, if the factions will be plunged into war.
SPACE EMOS
That's why they look so ugly. Now it makes sense.
🎶 *Thrall'n in my skin! These wounds they will not..* 🎶
and the FWC are just space nerds
How did you survive?
There is space emos, space knights, and a space cult who all fighted against space turtles
This popped up in my recommendations today. Fitting, considered the threat we face in Season of the Worthy.
Will there be a chance our own character would have a lore??
kennyg0101 I think that's what the game is. We are creating our own story, shaping our own legend
Yeah. Its called Destiny 2. Doi
I was thinking of switching to FWC but this keeps me on Dead Orbit's side
For the fleet my faction and my family dead orbit
As I watch this great lore video I realize....this man is a God at trials
I got a dead orbit tattoo irl just for this week long event, that’s how committed I am
matthew harris nice
matthew harris That's kind of sad. But you do you.
Your comment is kinda pathetic.
That's pretty Cool!
Wow man..I'm dead orbit all the way but holy shit
I heard a NPC say to a different NPC "Did you here Dead Orbit has a colonists ship? Are you going ?" or something along those lines
But new monarchy... ;)
philosophy wise I agree with New monarchy but i love the black on black shaders for dead orbit.
Woooo! Time for the best faction Hell yeah edgelords UNITE!
Josh Daniel HELL YEAAAA!
YEEEEEET
Lord that outro is so cool
Dead Orbit is best Orbit! Dead Orbit forever!
why don't you go fly into black hole
Leonard Church yeah!!!! My man
Look at the haters that are about to lose the faction rally 😂 dead orbit ftw
In Destiny 1, I gravitated to Dead Orbit for no particular reason. Now that I have actually seen the lore behind all the factions, my favorite is actually FWC
Dead Orbit is the best orbit
Some very interesting scan-ables lying around. Do you have some favorites?
Ryan Pimentel interesting thanks
If you payed attention during the introductions, you hear the fwc rep state directly that with the knowledge they aquire they helped rescue and evacuate both guardians and civilians from the last city. If they would have fallen then they wouldn't be in the tower now would they Ô-Õ
Loving you lore videos!
Fwc all the way
At the end do you say My name has been - mynameisbyf?
Kisstune Inferno you're just salt cause I speak truth
Well, Dead Orbit is the one that's running face first into a bomb
Peter Stormare's voice work is 90% of the reason I backed Dead Orbit in both games
They want to abandon the only thing keeping them alive, theyre the windowlicker faction of destiny end of story. 😂 only good thing about them is a shader hahaha
Nathan M realism, dictatorship, or fuck your mind up. All are easy to pick out the faults.
I have no real ties to either but between;
dumb fucks that literally wanting to abandon the only reason theyre still alive
warmongering robots that have lost or are slowly losing all their humanity and what they were
or a a last resort clause for a king that cant be removed unless they die (you know, like most kings/queens of human history) the third is the easiest and most logical by a mile, especially considering they wanted Zavala for the job.
Does that mean you support a dictatorship or a bunch of fanatics who think there is no such thing as peace?
I just have one of each faction on my 3 characters...
Warlock 299 - New Monarchy - There Guns, Armor, and Shaders all catch my likings
Titan 300 - FWC - Guns
Hunter 302 - Dead Orbit- Armor, Shaders, ( Maybe there guns I've only gotten a shotty twice so far ).
Keep a lookout for them 😉
DUDE! You have exact same load out! The vanguard pulse rifle(Idk what's it's called) and the mida mini tool! Lol!
Running the same as i did in Destiny 1
Hunter - Dead Orbit
Titan - New Monarchy
Warlock - FWC
BYF IS LIFE!
Are you going to talk about how the rally itself works? Tips and tricks, efficient ways to get more loot faster? Thanks!
I would like to hear your voice when you play trials, NO WAY that your voice is this calm when you play that stressful shit.
can confirm, A113 is a really clever easter egg. Wonder if it's just a coincidence that it's mentioned in the Dead Orbit lore.
Dead Orbit is the master race when it comes to factions for one sole undeniable reason. Peter Stormare.
Where ever we go, we need to bring a seperated shard of the traveler with us so we can terreform the planet/supply the guardians with light if they lose light. So, basically, bring a mini traveler where ever we colonize
Byf mode engaged
Dead orbit has always been my favorite faction for all 3 of my guardians.
SPACE
What? You thought I was going today Edgelord or Emo, right? I just like space!
"Rules are only as good as the principles they uphold".
That seems to sum up my opinion very well.
I Like the fact they put Peter Stormare to make the voice of Arach Jalaal
