Dude, anybody can invest a steady cash flow and dividend returns in an ETF at an early age and retire early and wealthy. SCHD is one of those funds..

SCHD is quarterly at 3.86% 30-day yield and JEPI is monthly at 6.88% 30-day yield BUT the share price of JEPI has only gone up 2.12% YTD while SCHD has gone up 6.5% - depending on investment, the increase in share price over the long term (using 3 years because JEPI hasn't been around for 5 yet) trends towards better investment in SCHD with a 3 yr return of 6.98% of share price vs. JEPI being -6.7% in the same 3 years. JEPI isn't looking for the share price to drive value but instead is looking for the dividend to be the attractive factor here.
But if you are looking at JEPI, you really should be looking at JEPQ instead which is beating them both in yield and returns (but it is new and doesn't have 3 years yet to compare - but YTD is up 12.78% while also delivering a monthly dividend and a 9.45% 30-day yield
