Cheyenne it’s just late in his own game. I used to be a Cheyenne fan, but let’s be honest, they came up with something that was in the market for years, and sell it like a game changer.
Dont know why they made it 1cm longer than the classic Unlimited and put the same motor… I don’t see a big improvement… can’t wait to see you make preview about the new heavy strokes from Acus !!!
You think with all those settings in the menu they would have thought to let you swap the power/pause button positions, should have done an hourly rate timer like the critical can do as well. Coupl simpl things that would have cost them nothing to include. And i totally agree a way to update the firmware is essential. I also wished they had some sort of wireless pedal option available at this point. And yea i hate the grip to :p
@adamdarklord it's decisions like that and stuff fk irons does. That makes me wonder if they listen to anything their pro team tells them , I mean surely it would have been one of the first pieces of feedback they got from your average working tattooist.
I recently just purchased the Nuema Flex 5 3.6 cam, instead of the Acus M1. Can’t say I’m really too happy with my purchase, my battery came scratched, and why did no one mention the noise level and vibration? It’s crazy compared to its competitors. I also discovered a bug with the jumpstart mode/ the battery itself. If you try to start the machine when it is set at 10v, it simply won’t, it gets stuck. Not that you would ever be running 10v, but just saying. Every now and then, the needles don’t run right, they seem to pulsate and a simple turn off and turn back on usually fixes the issue. I’ve used different needles, different brands, wrapped it differently. Can’t figure out what causes that! It does it all needlessly types. For $1219 plus a $59 shipping fee, I’ve still been using my Flux. Being that Adam was the main reason for my decision on the flex 5, thought I would post my “review” here and see what other people have to say! overall not happy with my purchase, anyone else have this issue, should I send my machine back?
@jadenbrigonoi4711 message the owner Carson of neuma. The guy is very cool and understanding and will get you sorted out he really goes above and beyond for his customers. Worth a try atleast. I have the neuma modus the model before and he sorted out some issues I had really quickly.
Everyone’s different, I know many people that sold the Acus for the Neuma and love it. The sound and vibration is like %50 less from the previous Neuma 4 so imagine using that machine lol The jump start on that battery jumps to 10v for the first second and then goes back to the selected voltage. So if you have it set to 10volts you’re not going to notice it. I don’t suggest using Jumpstart on that machine there’s to many parts moving for that. If you notice a skipping feeling in the needle it’s because you have to stretch the spring inside of it to be longer. That might also make the machine quieter for you. If you stretch the spring be very careful that the spring remains flat/ level on both ends of it and try your best to stretch it evenly. The macro version is like 20% more quiet than the standard flex version also. Message Carson Hill the owner of Neuma on instagram if it came with scratches and he might replace something for you!
Going to 4.5mm it honestly sucks up ink from my caps about twice as fast and I’m not really used to that. Also because you have to stick the needle out further for the same results you got to be more careful with overworking. I’m starting to like the 4.5 on the Unlimited 2 so maybe I’ll try it out again on the Acus M1
How this compares to Sol Nova 2? I’m all round artist, no specific style, currently using new Sol Nova 3.5 and 4.5 strokes and they’re great but don’t know if I should upgrade to this one. Any suggestions? Cheers 🍻
@adamdarklord Thanks for the reply. I use them wired so if we leave out the wireless part, how does pure machine work compare to new Sol Nova? If you can understand what I'm trying to ask since my English is not that great 😄 Cheers
Neuma 5 injects ink quicker and feels amazing but I prefer Acus for less vibration and sound. The Acus m1 has the most customizations and does the least trauma to the skin. It all depends on what you like and the style you do.
Adz.. so, black friday sales.. looking to throw a few coins at a machine.. So im picking ur brains..hope you don't mind 🤷♂️ For reference, i like thebishop wand shader .. I like 4ml-ish type stroke machines So.. Critical Torque Acus M1 (with additional 4.1 cam) Unlimited 2 Your honest thoughts/suggestion would be appreciated
I’d pick a machine where you can open it up and clean it. Every machine brakes because rinse cup water and ink gets down into the machine and you can’t clean it out
Hey @adamdarklord you mention about the first machines came with some problems, what was that? because I got one as preorder and maybe I didnt notice the problem. thanks man!
Gesture controls and other settings not saving when you turn on and off the machine. Some situations where you get a black screen and have to turn it off and on to fix it. Few other things I can’t remember rn
@adamdarklord your welcome and I'll always be following you and other artists because I truly believe that we all can benefit from eachother no matter what either it be from techniques, reviews ect.
Now you know my experience was not nice. My first one wouldn't keep my tilt feature on. I like the tilt feature although I find myself using it less and less. But I was constantly in that bad menu to turn the tilt back on. And if I pulled my battery pack off with it on once I reinserted it all I had was a black screen. That menu system sucks. Just sayin. They did replace my machine and the new one doesn't have those problems. I have the 3.5mm version and I almost hate to say that I really like how it tattoos. But I liked the 1st version 3.5mm. Agree that the side button feels like the most obvious way to pause and start the machine and that top button just feels awkward. A USB for firmware updates just seems obvious. They missed an opportunity with that. The grip....come on now. What rocket science engineer do they need to make a new grip? For fuks sake. The 3.5 actually pushes larger liners than I expected. It'll push an 11RS with no problem. I stay on steady mode for most of the time. On sensitive skin R1 has been useful. Battery life is great, I agree. Marketing is totally misleading with that ability to change the stroke length on the fly. You can't. Not without buying the whole bottom motor assembly as you stated. And I'm sure those won't be cheap.
It's a good machine but I will never invest in a Cheyenne again, this machine EAT the cartridge rod leaving the inside of the grip dirty with dust, and it makes a horrible noise… 2024 and nobody talks about it
This machine looks like a desperate and pathetic attempt to compete with the Acus, 2 years behind in innovation. sorry but the thing looks like an overpriced and uglier mast lancer.
Like the video!!!!
Let’s make it the number #1 🙌
They have a heavier grip, but you must buy it separately...
Yeah, they need a new shape
Cheyenne it’s just late in his own game. I used to be a Cheyenne fan, but let’s be honest, they came up with something that was in the market for years, and sell it like a game changer.
Apple of the tattoo machines

It’s mind blowing really

@@x_z0mb1_x i think their pro team is all gone and working in the acus company. 😅😅

Would you recommend me to get the Cheyenne sol nova unlimited 2 or the acus which is the better machine??
You should start doing needle cartridge reviews.
Why don't you try the 4.5 stroke on the acus Adam?
Going to 4.5mm it honestly sucks up ink from my caps about twice as fast and I’m not really used to that. Also because you have to stick the needle out further for the same results you got to be more careful with overworking.

Bought the Acus at Halloween, with 2.5, 3.7, 4.5 and 5.0 cam, and I really love the 4.5 atm.
NeoGrips are sick! I think they make shorter ones now so you don’t have to cut them.
How this compares to Sol Nova 2? I’m all round artist, no specific style, currently using new Sol Nova 3.5 and 4.5 strokes and they’re great but don’t know if I should upgrade to this one. Any suggestions? Cheers 🍻
I’d upgrade to the Unlimited 2
it’s just better with the battery built into it and display
@adamdarklord Thanks for the reply. I use them wired so if we leave out the wireless part, how does pure machine work compare to new Sol Nova? If you can understand what I'm trying to ask since my English is not that great 😄 Cheers
Without watching yet, I bet the new sol nova is a ripoff, still a cash grab and the acus is still the winner.
😂 🙌
Hahhaha yeah Acus for sure the best atm
Have you looked at Vlad Blad ultron grips? I’ve seen people using Cheyenne disposables on it.
Good call, I’ll have to check it out!
What machine do you think is better between acus m1 and the Nuema 5….
Neuma 5 injects ink quicker and feels amazing but I prefer Acus for less vibration and sound. The Acus m1 has the most customizations and does the least trauma to the skin. It all depends on what you like and the style you do.
Wish they woulda put the stronger motor thats in the sol nova 2
What motor is it?
It seems pretty strong to me
Been looking on your channel do you have a review on the kajaste aurora?
That machine failed and they had to refund everyone. My buddy bought one and he said it was horrible lol
Adz.. so, black friday sales.. looking to throw a few coins at a machine..
So im picking ur brains..hope you don't mind 🤷♂️

So..
Critical Torque
Acus M1 (with additional 4.1 cam)
Unlimited 2
Your honest thoughts/suggestion would be appreciated

Tbh I don’t like the size of the grip it’s to short
Yes, it’s the number one complaint on all of the Cheyenne machines. I’m very surprised they didn’t change it.
Cheyenne will start making coil machines and call it new
It’s a $300 savings difference but yes battery changeable
Adjustable strokes for only $800-$900 per stroke length!!! What a deal haha 🙌 🔥
Hey @adamdarklord you mention about the first machines came with some problems, what was that? because I got one as preorder and maybe I didnt notice the problem. thanks man!

Amazing machine
8.5 hours is amazing to me at least bro but i like hiw you do your style
🙌 🔥 thanks big dawg
@adamdarklord your welcome and I'll always be following you and other artists because I truly believe that we all can benefit from eachother no matter what either it be from techniques, reviews ect.
HI..Thanks for video..Thumb UP
I still think that Cheyenne unio it’s a better choice…show me that I’m wrong
Man all these gimmicks. I use coils mostly but the best Cheyenne I tried was og hawk pen. Whips, stipples, packs.
Now you know my experience was not nice. My first one wouldn't keep my tilt feature on. I like the tilt feature although I find myself using it less and less. 💯🔥
Acus M1 is better! It was created by former Cheyenne engineers and also comes from Berlin.
You didn't mention the 2.5mm stroke. What do you think of it?
It’s way too soft for what I do, I prefer 4 - 4.5mm
