this man was one of my vocal teachers, he doesnt know it but i used to learn from him amongst others. what i picked up from bruce was his operatic style of singing. Those long vibratos that i have added to my style. Three singers that i love brought opera style voice to rock, roy orbison, freddy mercury and bruce dickinson, each with their own style.
Bruce is not just the best metal front man with mighty powerful vocals his a very down to earth cool individual that would hang out with his fans even first time meting the guy. Some time between 1994 and 1996 I saw him performing in Santa Barbra ca in small club with Andrea Smith during his solo career, after the show he cam out of his tour bus and hung out with me and couple of my friends and my best friend for an hour because we were waiting in the parking lot hoping we can get a picture with him. Then Bruce / Andrea and the drummer open the tour bus door came out and we did got our pictures with them and chat for an hour with them and I being a big fan of Maiden and Bruce and Andrea I will never forget that night that I had the chance to meet my favorite Metal band members. Just wanted to share with you guys.
Could you imagine if he was your dad or grandfather? How awesome would that be for bedtime stories. Telling you his favorite time he sang "Rime" or "Hallowed".

This is what separates good bands from legendary....damn I love this band Iron maiden is in a league of their own. Undeniable greatness!! God status. This record is freaking fantastic! Damn that galloping classic maiden riff!!? The solos are just.....daaamn How do they keep getting better and better....none does that 40 years later. Senjutsu is a Beautiful masterpiece. This might be my favorite record since Somewhere in Time....I think only Iron Maiden can make metal beautiful!
So from what I can deduce the movie will focus on the people of Sarajevo and rightly so. It was their war, their lives that were so deeply affected by the tragic events that unfolded in their own neighbourhoods. I imagine we will see friendships and characters coming together to enjoy an amazing night of rock and roll as they fight to get to the venue safely and home again. If you haven't seen the documentary then do. You will appreciate the freedoms you have a thousands times over.
I still get emotional whenever I see Bruce rocking the long hair again. I'm not old enough to remember him before he cut it, so I feel like it's me turn now lol
And Live after Death still stands up as the benchmark of what a live album should be, I can’t think of another live album that matches it, will listen to any recommendations, live music is what it’s all about hopefully we can all enjoy live events again very soon, up the Irons from Yorkshire

You know what, I’m 34. I compose music for a living. I’ve met a lot of artists and they are all very human, just like anyone of us. And, even though Bruce Dickinson is someone who I’d love to meet one day and just talk about life’s philosophies, rationally, I know he’s also another human being. BUT, for some reason, hearing him have these common health issues, which are very normal to anyone, made me feel just a bit incredulous (“Bruce? Having these issues? But he survived cancer!”). I guess that even though I’m older and wiser, a part of me, the kid in me, still sees Bruce as “The Bruce Dickinson” and I don’t think that will ever change. I recently worked with a musician/producer who has worked with him. That’s the closest from Bruce I’ve been. I hope to one day be able to thank him over a pint.
