Brilliant video, I used to be a support worker and take a guy to watch the matches at Nene park , we met Brian Tolbert who was really nice and very helpful , I remember him being very successful 👍🏆🏆🏆
I have to admit whilst being a Stevenage fan, I was envious of diamonds stadium and facilities at that particular time . Saw some great games at nene Park. Took know pleasure in seeing diamonds disintegrate and dissappear into oblivion .
I'm glad that another team is going to play at the stadium of my former team. I can't imagine the stadium where I was a steward for a couple of years would turn into something like this
In Rushden now I had a feeling it had been knocked down but wasn’t 100% sure, obviously this confirms it and will save me looking out for it! Such a shame.. what happened to that club
Diamonds were always screwed the moment the sugar daddy took the money out they up against it. Although fair play to Max Griggs he did sell the club to the supporters for a very nominal fee and donate some cash also. But within, what three years they had gone bankrupt.
Never been there but I remember that it was called Rockingham Road. The Conference had a host of interestingly and strangely named grounds in those days, such as Crabble and The Lawn.
Has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like a professional darts player who beat 2 time world champion Gary Anderson with a 170 checkout in a deciding leg?
Always a shame to see a football stadium go. All those memories made there 🥺
Never knew you watched this channel
Going down the Wrexham AFC rabbit hole somehow brought me here. Very nice tour!

Visited here in 2004 with Sheffield Wednesday.
Shame to see them go, such a nice set up from what I remember.

I'll never forget the 2002-03 season, we had it in the bag for the league title, 13 points clear of rushden in february and thrown it all away by may
my dad played in that squad, chris tedder
Such a shame, would have loved to come to a stadium like this
Probably the shortest lived modern day (and quite possibly since the 1930's) professional English football club if I recall.

Mad how they got forgotten about so quick !

I did a video on Rushden & Diamonds F.C., they had such a dramatic rise and fall.
Great video pal

Love the music aswell makes you wanna sing along
Is this the guy who beat Gary Anderson with a 170 checkout at the summer series and did Ryan searle do the same aswell last week
It has been said haha
Haha thought you did you don't mention about it much do ya ha lol do you always say that to Gary Anderson when you see him at the pro tour events

You should try looking at Kettering Town's old ground (if still there). I sense a series idea! 😁

Great shame what's happened here. This was a decent little ground for lower league football.
Very sad

The car interior needs some cleaning 😁
Abandoned.
