    I don't realistically do heavy off roading. We have toys/alternate vehicles for that. That being said, I am very satisfied with my '22 Frontier SV. It's towed 5,000lbs + back and forth from PA-FL without a problem. Plenty of power. Transmission does a decent job engine breaking and is definitely noticeable for what it is. It's definitely not a big human back seat, but it totally works in a pinch.
    The steering wheel not telescope, but it's actually in my seating position so it's not a problem.
    I can confirm with you saying that I do not like how a forced induction engine drives. We do a TON of lighter weight towing with our off road toys, etc... and I know the turbo motor have power, mpg, etc, etc, etc... I will avoid it at all costs cus I genuinely dislike how they tow. In a little family car, fine. I just use my truck for truck-esque stuff too much and absolutely cannot stand the turbo engine. The linear speed, predictable power, and simplicity of a naturally aspirated engine will be my truck choice until it's no longer an option.

    I'm hoping that one day you guys will actually make a good comparison when it comes to the Frontier, you ALWAYS compare it to the wrong trim. The comparisons you should be doing are as follows:
    Frontier Pro4x vs Ford Ranger FX4
    Frontier Pro4x vs Tacoma TRD Offroad (3rd gen)
    Frontier Pro4x vs Chevy Colorado Trail Boss and Z71
    Frontier Pro4x vs GMC Canyon Elevation and AT4
    I did all of these comparisons recently when truck shopping and quickly realized that the Pro4x is by far the best value for the money. Sure it has it's drawbacks but it's value is undeniable in the segment, last of a dying breed.

    When it comes to trucks and cars I want normal sized screens none of this 10 inch or larger screens. Sure it's easier to use and see. But night driving it's distracting. My idea may not carry any support but I'd be okay with the screen being big when parked or backing up. But when driving it gets smaller to reduce to overall lighting. Even in dark mode it blinds me when someone calls. And only reason for it to be full sized backing up for the camera if it's available.

Heck, the V8 in the F150 probably will have similar mpg numbers than these midsize tiny turbos.

Almost impossible to damage it offroad but prone to raise some dust on a trail. Having said that and considering mine is a diesel and the exhaust pipe is a relatively large diameter, the flow strength out of the pipe seems slow, probably helped by the diameter of the pipe but also the cats and DPF closely fitted to the turbochargers.

      You seriously believe that the same car company would build an exhaust system differently for two separate markets (for the SAME vehicle model) and by doing that reduce the scale of economy and consequently increase cost without regulation just for the love of diversity or being different? 😃 I was NOT talking about emission regulation but safety requirements, crash testing etc. They are definitely different between the US and European markets and others and this is why US is missing out on probably 80% of global vehicles.

    • @hedydd2
      @hedydd2 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@is6566 My dear chap, they not only have different exhaust for different engines, of which many are offered worldwide, but also different emission equipment which require yet more exhaust designs, for different markets. These Rangers are built at three factories worldwide from scratch to an essentially identical template. The fact that South African and Thai built models have been out for a year and two respectively, while US build of the current variant has only just started using US made components. In the South African plant, not only do they make the four cylinder and v6 diesels on the same line, which is unique in the industry, but they also build Ford and VW variants on the same production line, not quite at random.
      As for safety equipment, they build a vast number of variants and even vary active safety features according to the model. There are about five variations of headlights available in the UK alone, starting with halogen on base models and up to active matrix LED’s on top models. Similarly with rear lights where thei have basic globes, or a mix with LED, or full LED with extra sensors included for things like auto parking and trailer reversing assist.
