Truly excellent, I love the interactive real-time beam plots and all on your kitchen table ! Thanks for the effort, this should be obligatory viewing for all students of antenna systems.

What an amaizing presentation. Timely and so much interesting. Thanks Analog staff for helping in this effort and thank you presenter for doing this. I hope you will do more videos about this in time to come. This type of unique introductions significantly reduce the barrier to entry and encourage young tallented engineers to try new technologies. Now with the pluto rev-c, it would be cheap too given we can mod it for higher number of antennae. A wonderful world

Excellent overview of analog beam forming concepts done in a practical hands-on way. Also a great demo of using GNU Radio and off-the-shelf hardware to build a practical learning demonstrator.

Such a wealth of knowledge here. Thank you!
Could the Hackrf be considered for this project?

Jon what is the RF Splitter used in In 1:23:59 for the two ADAR1000 ?

Does this need some extra features to make it a simple radar?

I would like to make a satellite air traffic control phased array, a T2 (telecom and telemetry) for a ground station.

Entonces solo puede medir 90º en linea, y si pusieramos 6 antenas en las caras de un cubo?
Podria calcular desfases entre grupos de tres antenas?

I just got sponsored by PCB way and I'm working on a proof of concept and a phased array would be so much better for my use case and you think you could lay these antennas out on a flexible PCB?

Why not do the phase shifting in gnu radio? Seems simpler and cheaper to my uninformed imagination.

Your not lying you're just enabling to disabled course and you're expanding the chip to its actual frequency range and you're not lying to the software you're actually telling it the truth!

Horrible audio. How can you present about beam forming and phased arrays while not having enough signal to maintain audio? 🤦 I really wanted to listen to this talk, but the audio iss up erb ad.

I'm imagining people are only watching this with their smartphone while in the bathroom. With headphones on, the audio is pretty terrible.
I'd say the 2020s are 1990s all over, but at least we had proper HiFi back then.

Audio is 9/10.. consistent throughout....no jarring/ 'harsh' noises, no cracks/ crackling/popping/fizzing, cadence is pleasurable, zero to none reverb or echo- Presentation is gold. Only complaint is one that many technical subject matter suffers from... energy is lost as the presentation comes closer to the end- that's a given with subject matter such as this..ki mean bdeam forming is exciting and all, just not...THAT exciting. Again...nothing wrong on my side with audio 9/10 and further given the majority reflect this, I'd have to question the quality of the complainants audio equipment/ computer etc...

isn't this a bunch of engineers? what's with the obsession with avoiding math?
and what the hell - it's gimbal, not gimble - engineers these days. sad.
