Great if you dont mind resetting your clock and stereo every time you want to go for a drive... also super easy to bypass just throw something metal between the contacts and start the engine. I think this is more suitable for a holiday vehicle where leaving it connected for long periods drains the battery, so disconnect is the way to go.

I think a switch on the power to the fuel pump relay would be better. But this is a good idea for a non mechanically inclined person.

Newer cars can't be wo battery power for long.
Not sure what side effects that'll cause

I purchased this for a 2009 Corvette (not installed yet) which drains the battery even to the point where it cannot be recharged if not driven on a regular basis. So if it sits for 2 months this seems to be a solution. Then when it is time to recharge the battery should this be disconnected?

Yes, it should completely disconnect the circuit. I also use a solar trickle charger for my truck to keep my battery charge topped off.
