    Chris
Just taking a second to say thank you for an awesome podcast!
I am, and always will be both a Bruins fan and a Chris Nilan fan.
Learning a lot about both yourself and the personal Bruins stories you tell.
I am 63, bi-polar, from New Haven,Connecticut. Played hockey till I was hurt in prep school.
    Fierce competitor like yourself.
Dropped the gloves on more than one occasion in life.
Really enjoying your podcasts. Keep up the good work.
    Peter

Knuckles I love how delicate you posed questions about a terrible incident. My favorite part was the fishing invitation and how life is short to hold grudges. Hopefully Jean could join you guys and make peace. Great work!

Great interview again Chris. I had to do a doubletake when I saw Sleigher's name on the title. One thoughtless moment in life can change your perception and how other perceive you.

I truly hated Sleigher for many years due to the Canadiens-Nordiques rivalry and his punch on Jean Hamel. Seems like a good guy.

Love this channel and Chris giving the forum for these great hockey stories as Iv'e been a Flyer fan since a kid in the 70s and now hearing the story behind what I saw . I remember the Quebec/Montreal brawl live on tv and I can't lie I loved every minute of it. Sleigher cheap shotted Hamel and took a free punch after Tremblay and ref steps in .Iv'e watched many of Chris's podcasts and became a fan of it along with respect for Nilans honest interviews and giving these fighters/protectors of team mates a voice. A fan of the rough stuff and Chris bringing on players I forgot about . I wish Nilan could of been a Philly Flyer cause he would of fit right in brother!! Keep the right hands coming Nucks we love ya.

Knuckles did a commendable job trying to stick handle through this interview as he was a teammate of Hamel's but he understands Sleigher's side and it was a tough listen. You can really feel Sleigher's pain that him and Hamel never got back on good terms. Great interview and clicks to Louis for his honesty.

Two guys from the bottom of the draft. Great stuff. Funny thing only last week, I was looking over the 1978 draft list and all those Montreal Canadian picks at the end, there were two, Knuckles and two picks later, Louis Sleigher who got to play the game. Looking forward to the followup story on the fishing trip.

I was a Nordique fan in Québec city by those years, I lived that rivalry, and that was probably the best moment I've ever seen in the sports, I hated Chris so much at the time because he was with Montréal, but he was a hell of a good fighter. I remember the fight with Semenko, I said to myself, oh my god Chris is going to be killed! But Chris had a pretty good fight. Louis was strong as a beef, hitting hard, and successful in the corner, any coach wants a Louis Sleigher on his third line. Happy to see you guys doing well today!

I really feel for Louis. I have a hard time even calling that a sucker punch. When you're tied up with someone, you gotta expect a potential punch. I don't think a punch even gets thrown if Tremblay doesn't stick his nose in there - from behind Hamel no less. But regardless, there are many many many sucker punches thrown in the NHL - but they don't end so badly.
