Awesome nice aircraft, very nice painting and finishing, congratulation to the owner and have fun to build this beauty very nice plane, greetings from Remi, Belgium
I’m looking forward to see this build, and I suppose it will be a learning journey for you too! A nice change from jets and my favourite type of RC flying which, regrettably, is not as popular as it used to be.
@@thelightersideofrc you must be under 5 kg to compete, it is normal even to weight the CA you use during building to make sure do but use in excess…nice finish. Looking forward to see how you deal with this one 😇
Power plant is extremely easy, VLV drive from Australia with the new VLV controller. Props Falcon 23-20 front/rear. Batteries Thunder Power 10s 6000 FAI line, servos Futaba A-600 or BLS 173 if you can get them. No need to be crazy on weight, it will be light enough, too light as bad as too heavy.
Jonathan, assuming this will be flown in competition and depending on class flown in, weight is everything. The F3A weight limit is 5.5kg which was just increased from 5kg. You'll also be flying with 10S or 12S batteries. When building a pattern ship, gluing in the firewall is absolutely crucial and, IMHO, the toughest part of the entire assembly. It's what you should spend the vast majority of time on. Holler at me if you need a quick consult. There's lots to discuss. I'm sure you already have consultants though. Welcome to the world I came from. 😁
Hello, I did know about the 5.5kg. Thanks for the update is it FAI our AMA. Because in the 2024 FAI sportingcode it is still 10s " Electric powered model aircraft are limited to a maximum of 42.56 volts for the propulsion circuit, measured offload, and prior to flight while the competitor is in the ready box.
@@F3AFlyer05 FAI has not adopted this yet and, you're correct, it is only the AMA that allows this. I have no idea what class this particular plane will fly and I made a poor assumption that Jonathan was building it for someone in the USA. So, 10S for FAI competition, 12S for AMA. Apologies for not being more clear.
the light of the aircraft in F3A the more it gets effected by the wind. Putting the plane together you need to make sure everything is inline or if its out it wont perform as good
It's not only the world championship winning model, but the designer & manufacturer of this kit is the current F3A world champion pilot Lassi Nurila himself.
Do not add excessive weight to this F1 creation and do not go cheap on crappy servos, do not put rudder servo in tail ….And have patience to experience the feel of a roll

Excited to see you go through the build of an F3A plane.
Should be a fun challenge!

Very much a learning journey for me as well!
Really nice! Locking Forward for the Next Glacial Video from you
Thanks a lot!
Welcome to the F3A world! Started young myself when Hanno Prettner and Matt where the top ones!
Blow my mind how light this thing is!

Yes! Lucky!

Thanks Chad. Still haven't started on this one but hopefully soon!
Very nice piece of kit. Looks sorta like a Hyper Bipe. Looking forward to this one. ;0}
The Lack of weight is CRAZY!!!!

I thought only 10s is Max.

@@thelightersideofrc ok look forward to it mate
How Can DHL still be in business when “fragile” apparently mean drive a forklift fork through the box ? I do not understand that
Pretty much the norm!

Yes!
That is definitely different. Look forward to the build.
Thank you!
Lassi won the WC with that airplane last year.
🙌😎
First turbo prop F3A ? LOL
BAHAHA!
so total plane built would be probably under 10 lbs r so crazy
Mind blowing Hey!
5k euros guys, amazing build quality tho.
😎🙌
Those things make my eyes scream, kinda like certain jets that just look odd to me. Opinion of course lol
LOL. But knife edges like a beast!
Contra system for sure
Yes!
Not gonna lie the plane looks more like a fish
