I am a disabled guy with a broken back....your videos take me back outside to enjoy the outdoors....thank you very much from a loyal viewer. Best of luck out there. Greetings from Florida
Being a former educator, I again appreciate you sharing with us the “history lesson” of your finds. That button is awesome.....saving history is “ icing on the cake”.
Kurt, went looking online for the heck of it and found a USA button, not as nice as yours, that sold for $1250.00. I am so happy for you. What a killer find. I love that it's about the HISTORY for you. Happy hunting!~
Thanks Hoover boys. I’ve been disabled for 8 years. Cannot metal detect any more. In western Massachusetts. I enjoy your videos. Keep it up. Good hunting
What a wonderful piece of history to find! You guys show the rest of us out here what can be found. Just takes takes time and the love of both the sport and of history! AWESOMNESS!!
Wow congrats!!! That is such an amazing find!!! I’m so glad that someone who truly appreciates it found it. I know you will treasure it forever. Thank you as always for saving history and taking the trash with you! Love you guys!
Congratulations on your USA button!!! Amazed how it was preserved so well under water!! Thanks for finding and preserving our nation’s historical treasures!!😊👍🏻🇺🇸
Great finds guys! Man what an awesome piece of history and in such incredible condition! This is the best hobby ever and never ceases to amaze me even after years of digging. Big congrats man and keep it up! Can’t wait to see the next big saves!
Finally! That must be the button you told me would be coming up. WHAT A BUTTON!! Out of every single thing you have found and everyone else has found since video #1, THAT is by far your best find in my opinion. It is just a pure and powerful symbol of the birth of our nation. I am glad it now has a good home and a deserving caretaker. The HUGEST of congrats Kurt. IMO that is better than finding a gold coin. HH and GL on your next one. Greg
You described the same feeling i had 2 weeks ago when I found 2 ten dollar us gold coins 1845 ,1847 O i started seeing white i almost passed out i was so excited. Awesome find kurt
Thank you for all the hard work you put into all your videos.the hoover boys and stealth diggers got me back out detecting . I learn so much from all your videos. I get a good laugh as well. I got no doubt you will find a good coin very soon.
Catching up on some of your videos. That button is awesome. I live out west so I'll never ever find something like that. What rare great piece of history you found. Congrats Kurt.
The absolute find that anyone who is a American would want to find and in unimaginable condition. All I can say is congratulations on a well deserved find.
Oh my gosh! Kurt what an Awesome find. I got goose bumps just looking at the button. I can't imagine what the soldier who lost it had been through. The revolutionary war was so up close and personal. I can't imagine what the survivors went through after the war.
My undergraduate degree from Ohio State is in early American history so, from one historian to another, congratulations Kurt. Absolutely amazing find brother.
The Hoover Boys Ps-you don’t need to keep thanking me for my service. I was in well after Vietnam and got out about 6 months before the first Gulf War so I am one of the luckiest marines alive. lol. (I appreciate ya saying it but I’m always surprised you have time to reply PERIOD, with the number of subscribers you have. Consider me thanked! Thank YOU for all the work you do so we all can share the thrill with y’all. Stay safe out there!
I appreciate that Greg. I always respond eventually. It’s tough to keep up but that’s what makes us different. I wouldn’t be about to enjoy the little things in life if it wasn’t for my freedom. I see a veteran, I thank them. All the best
Congrats Kirk on finding what I believe is the best USA button I've seen, and I've seen a few, but all pulled from the ground! Mine was found in a civil war camp and the edges were rough, but yours is unbelievable. You really found a rare piece and once again congrats on saving a piece of history. It's amazing how the water preserve relics...way to go.
That Button had your name on it when it was made you Deserve it to the max as you show your pride of owning such a Awesome piece of America .....way to go Kurt
Incredible find. Great work! I’ve been digging in OH for about 7 months now and frankly would detect every day if I could! Thanks for sharing your finds with us.
Couldn’t agree more bud. Historical is worth more than dolla bills y’all. For it to be Rev is insane! You blew my entire button collection away with just this one. Awesome find, find if a lifetime!
Thank you for finding and saving that Rev war button. I had 7 great(many times) grandfathers in the Rev war, but one of them was in the Continental Army, so this piece of history means a lot to me. I have been out of detecting for almost 30 years now but recently bought a Garrett Ace 400 detector and hope to get out again in the warmer weather. Greetings from NH.
For cleaning your finds, they have mini blasting systems that use extremely soft plastic or walnut shells, they restore old books with them so all they do is clean items and not damage them
CONGRATULATIONS on that amazing history! You know there's a lot of people out there that would give just about anything to find a button like that. Sweet!!
That button is un-FLIPPIN-believable!! WOW, just WOW!!! Congrats on such an amazing find. I've really enjoyed the summer water series. The amount of relics you've saved... just mind-boggling. I look forward to the videos every week. Keep doing what you're doing because you've got a ton of fans! 😊🌟💱🇺🇸
Awesome button Kurt! That brass piece with the holes is something I've found before. The only difference was there were a half a dozen pieces in a relatively close spot. My guess at the time was a piece of trim for securing a rub rail to a boat. If they were gun pieces, that would have been a lot of guns in one spot and no gun parts were found.
Kurt, Bill & Brad, back home in Tampa Bay, Florida. GREAT meeting you guys at the Maryland Free State Treasure Club meeting. Really enjoyed your meeting and everybody there! Also very much enjoyed seeing and hearing about this rare button find as I was driving up to Balto the day this video came out. Found out my laptop has a virus and couldn't get me onto you tube or the internet while up there, so I have been dark for 9 days! Awesome, awesome find Kurt. Please thank Brad for testing my gold ring I found earlier that day!!! Hope you and Bill and the guys enjoy the THB stickers, need to get one more up to ya's!!! Thanks again for making me feel welcome. All The Best Rob Diggin' Florida w/ Rob! FlThunder AND a BIG ps THANK YOU for the hunt!!!!! AND the 2 other items!!!!
Thank you Rob! Glad to hear you made it home safe. I haven’t been back to that site yet. I still think there has to be a hot spot out there. I really wish we found it when you were here. All the best!
Well, I greatly appreciate the hunt. Showed my digging partner Alex your two gifts to me. I don't know if she was more excited about the Foo or the 1864IHP, lol. Weird thing...both short videos I took at your meeting, about 30 seconds of your talk on your button, and Brad testing my gold ring I found, have just vanished from my phone and are NOT on my laptop OR my flash memory stick, yet, the other 1164 deleted video clips and photos are still in my phone when I plug it into my computer....just NOT those two. (Okay, and one other one from earlier the same day) Just don't know where those three went??? Hope you find the hot spot, it does seem like that field should produce, but enjoyed the hunt immensely even with just a half a mule shoe, lol. Hope you get all the guys out there with you. Thank you again. HH Rob FlThunder
Fantastic finds for William and Mark but that button is an absolute (dog bark) find. Its condition is absolutely remarkable and was a joy to watch as you dug it. Loved the SDN tee at the beginning and still one of my all time favorite vids was your visit to NH. Great vid KK 😁😁😁👍👍👍
Goooollllllly! Jeebus Kurt, not only is that some amazing history...but it’s PURTY! Heck, I was lookin’ at a painting of the Continental Congress and I think that was Sam Adams’ button! Ferreal and stuff! Congrats, Kurt! Couldn’t get more perfect if it was behind glass in a museum! Even better, you get to pull it out whenever you want and play with it!

Do you ever donate something like that to a local museum? Congratulations on such a wonderful find. Those buttons with the stones are really neat too. Keep it up guys. :)
I was an archaeologist working mostly in the Southeast. I found many DOS resales at Fort Toulouse right outside Wetumpka, Alabama. The Close river runs right by that. This was also Fort Jackson. I wish I had had a metal detector back then. So if you can, check it out!
