This is a lovely vehicle but that tablet like thing and the dashboard is a deal-breaker for me.

Expedition is a BOF on the T3 platform. Explorer is a unibody.

You are correct. Rear wheel or all wheel drive only. 2019 pr 2020 went to rear drive.

The explorer w car based and is therefore an CUV. The Expedition is based the F-150 and is therefore an SUV. Ford cannot change the engineering facts about the difference between an SUV, which is truck based, and a CUV, which is car based.
There are no exceptions here as these two are defined by their engineering criteria

No wireless charging? That surprises me. I’ve always liked Ford products but am disappointed they don’t make a sedan anymore. Would be driving a new Taurus right now if they hadn’t dropped the model.

It seems that all the major US companies are dropping the sedans. I don't understand it. The Taurus has been one that Ive always wanted, and unless I buy a used one, I never will be able to get one. I really don't get it.
It has wireless charging its by the center console. I have the limited edition. The limited edition is 52k brand new. The mark up is about 4-5k because of the shortage. Expect to pay in the 50s before all the TTL and add one you might want.
@@resharddurdley6987 From 2020 up has wireless charging. It's infrastructure of the center console/ arm rest.
@@areitomusic They are going to bring them back once everyone starts downsizing because of gas prices going through the roof. I have seen a lot of big pick ups left on the side of the road lately because people can no longer afford gas.

They need to get rid of the tablet in the center of the front dash board. Either integrate it or allow it to be removed. It looks terrible!!!! The rest of the car is pretty awesome.
Most vehicles have this, including ram, telsa etc.

Really good job but buy the Lincoln Aviator. Better ride, more horsepower (400 hp) Cab. it much better sound proofing. Overall better aesthetics inside and out. Etc......

when you use carplay does it just take up the top half of the screen? and if so is the bottom half still useable with the other functions?
I have a Galaxy so it's Android auto in my '21 ST--basically, the top half of the screen is Android Auto, there's a small middle section that shows your phone's connectivity status or any messages received, and the very bottom part shows audio/entertainment info.
