Seeing his cocky grin as he faces Giganto in Super Sonic brought joy I never knew I needed. I can't go back to the original cutscene without feeling let down.
That face really made him so badass. I love this.
As much as I really appreciate these animations, and I love that you can actually take in the smile for a SECOND BEFORE THE SCENE FADES, I think there's still something to just the subtle shift of the original I really like
@@starmars5 Yeah I get what you're saying. The old scene did what this scene does for me now. The way he continues to stare at Giganto then that slight smile knowing he's about to wreck shit is also something else. Especially for a first time viewer.

Yeah while the blatant smile is cool, I do like the subtle smile better.
All he needs is that little extra flair
for me, the original giganto cutscene has the "oh you're so screwed" vibe to it, while this new one feels more like "okay, you kicked my ass earlier, now its time for me to have some fun"
the wyvern animation??? blows anything ive ever seen out of the water. just gives the fight so much more flare

I hope with the next game they expand on the animations and have more people involved with making them as well compared to the very little they had in Frontiers, also get fuckin marza involved again, especially with the beginning cutscenes at the very least

I agree, one more thing i want to add tho is to let Roger go a little more with his yelling in the cutscenes. Its awkward seeing sonic power up with his mouth wide open and looking in pain but hes completely mute. A good example to get my point across is go watch goku go super saiyan 3 against janemba and play the scene on mute. thats basically what happened in the animations. Its awkward and feels like something is missing if you didnt hear goku yelling. I think they did excellent with the japanese version of the final cutscene where sonic screams in the cannon and when he is being launched towards the end. I dont think sega has hope in Roger to sound in pain, but look at his Assasin creed moments where he is in agony, hes very excellent at portraying that.

0:57 7:17 and 14:19 these all show animation is important to show character I really hope in the next game they can focus more on this they got the gameplay down and with Ian writing the story is covered I just hope they give the characters little animations like this again

While its mainly just a model cleanup (just improvements like the face and the color of super sonic overshadowing his body) there are a couple new things.

In Black Clover, every mage can use Binding Magic!
They used quick cyloop. I think it works with regular cyloop too if done correctly

Exactly my point! That's why Sonic used the Cyloop as a binding technique the snare enemies, especially big ones like the bosses!
my biggest problem witht the super sonic fights is always the grand slam. more specifically, that there's only one. it kinda makes me want to avoid doing it just to spice up the fight a little bit.
I really like the cocky grin Sonic has when he faces Giganto, it’s like he knows he has this fight in the bag.
I'm noticing some kind of dust particles in this. It looks great! And the attacks improved as well.
But I'm still noticing problems. Most attacks like the sonic boom doesn't seem to make contact. And the camera spazzed out in the knight titan boss.
I also think more improvements should be added with these bosses. Like throwing wyvern without that sequence and/or have knight swing it's sword rapidly and more violently.
the thing i love about this mod is the enhanced graphics. these graphics are really cool. it makes sonic look more (shiny) in a way and the bosses too. i hope it didnt put your pc in fricking 999 degress heat tho😅

With these, it REALLY shows Sonic's ready to KICK SOME ASS.
I just wanna comment and say 21:26 to the end of the knight fight was perfect. The boss gets a hit in on Sonic, showing a bit of vulnerability on Sonic's end. Then you hit the shield, proceed to do the special cyloop combo, slam the boss back down, and you finish it off with the parry cutscene move right as the music picks up. It's simply perfect. Thank you

Only animation I'd say is an upgrade is Super Sonic transformation for Knight.
His grin against Giganto is a bit too exaggerated, and you can see the animation for Wyvern just pause as he spins.
Aside from that, almost nothing about super sonic was changed besides the RTX.

Which mod is this that is affecting the titans? They have some really buffed health stats, plus some cool new moves and/or enhanced moves.
honestly, the mod done with Giganto’s homing lasers is what the other Titans SHOULD HAVE DONE, but nope, Knight, Wyvern, *and* Supreme’s were just for show.
Sonic Frontiers if it had one more year of development:
0:59, 7:19 and 4:22 that’s way better than the original
agreed for the last two but for the first one? i think his subtle grin he does in the original animation is better for this situation. he looks like he’s about to one shot the titan in this animation, but the original one feels like he’s going “this is gonna be fun”. like “i won’t one-shot you but i’ll fuck you up “

Yeah I gotta be honest? Not loving the new smile. I know it's more stylized, but what I loved about the old one was the whole nonchalant confidence. Here, Sonic seems a little too... eager? Excited? In the old one it was "Okay, my turn." Here it's "Aw, YEAH! Time to rock and roll!" Which is fine. But I prefer Sonic's silent confidence over this new outright cockiness.

Honestly, the start of giganto’s fight animation, and the idle animation just aren’t doing it for me. The original idle with both arms up and one leg high above the other just has that feeling of power and that he is ready to beat the titan’s ass. On the other hand, the original animation for the giganto boss beginning, where sonic does a small smile feels much more natural than the big and confident grin sonic does in this mod. The original just has this feeling of: you’re dead lol.
I feel completely the other way the old pose was alright but I feel that it could’ve been done way better the pose looks more like one where he just awakens super Sonic rather then just floating in place (not to mention I feel that the cycle animation looks odd with him bobbing up and down.) This new one makes him look more like he’s ready for an attack. Also I don’t see why you don’t like the new start of the animation despite what you had to say for his idle his newer expression makes him really look like he’s ready to beat some ass. Also it’s one of his icon facial expressions I thought we all recognized. Another thing is I’m a bit tired of seeing the reused animation from unleashed/colors/generations (This animation being from Unleashed’s final boss fight.) Seeing new animations is always refreshing in this series.

@@nojustno1654what I really mean when I see “That he is ready to beat the titan’s ass.” Is that the newer expression is a lot more vocal and loud (Not as in sounds as in looks) about him being ready beat the titan, while the old one is more silent, and it seems more natural for the situation he is in. Overall you have some solid points and I respect your opinion.

Yes you can. In the base game. It's just hard to time it right.

All he did was tweak the cutscenes on when Sonic goes Super, and use rtx on the sprites. There's not that much of a difference. Maybe add a few more moments of the titans fighting or roring during the 2nd stage and grand slam cutscenes

My guy that's what mods are? They don't create a whole new game, they just add something we wanna see in the game or improve upon. The mods they're using is better animated cutscenes with more expressions and the hedgehog may cry combat.

Yeah sometimes they're hard to see and or understand what's different but that's kinda the whole point of them, they are not gonna change your experience/s or expectations for the game.
