You guys got lucky with the belts instead of augers. Augers are a pain. But yeah. Once that load starts and you're waiting on material, usually the powder is weighed first. So the longer it sits, the more compressed it gets. Then you gotta worry about it not releasing out of the out of the scale into the truck. That plant looks awesome tho. Looks like a he'll of a lot less problems than any plant with augers
I'm confused. Are you a truck driver or a yard switcher or one of the operators/manufacturers. I used to do maintenance at a concrete plant and I've never seen a job like yours.
i remember working at a few "ready mix" plants (before i drove a dump truck).....................when that loader broke down..............we couldn't do nothing. of course, "the loader" broke down all of the time. It wasn't like the ready mixed company was attached to some huge corporate black budget or anything......................but we were using the loader to do something it wasn't supposed to be doing.............to make extra money on the side with the company's equipment. We'd load way too much concrete on the trucks (more than the customer ordered)...........then when we'd come back, we'd dump the concrete on the ground in a pile..............and have the loader go chop it up before it got hard (of course it was still not good for the loader). But then we'd sell the crushed concrete cheaper than you could get gravel anywhere else (at no cost to ourselves). Not sure if boss man ever figured out what we were doing.
So working for the plant was it good money and pretty easy work or no

Does the materials come from right there at the plant or do you bring it in from where ? including the concrete powder
Most plants will import their aggregate from different locations where crushers will take raw material and crush it to desired size.
