    Hii maam ..i liked this video a lot. I had like the video and subscribed ur channel also.
    I have a doubt i believed that you clear it out.
    The question is that why boiling occurs when vapour pressure equals the atmospheric pressure.

    Ma'am can you please explain effect on the evaporation, of the mixing of non volatile solute

    • @DigitalKemistry
      @DigitalKemistry  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question.As a non-volatile substance refers to a substance that does not readily evaporate into a gas under existing conditions.Non-volatile substance exhibit a low vapor pressure & high boiling point. Sugar and salt are examples of non-volatile solutes. Hope it will clear your confusion. Regards

      @@sir1694 yes, boiling occur when the vapour pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure but the the boiling point differ depending on the pressure. The temperature at which a liquid boils is dependent on the surrounding pressure. When you cook in a regular pot at atmospheric pressure (14.7 pounds per square inch, water boils at 100°C . Inside a pressure cooker, the pressure can increase by an additional 15 psi, to almost 30 psi. At that pressure, water boils at 121°C. That means food can cook at a much higher temperature than it ever could at atmospheric pressure-and since cooking reactions speed up at higher temperatures, your food cooks faster. Hopefully you will get the point. Keep in touch and stay blessed. Regards

    Hi mam, just having a doubt as if the vapour pressure of water equal the atmospheric pressure, it means that mole fraction of water in air=1... how is this possible

    Can you please make a video on reactivity of metal i.e how can we identify that which is high reactive and moderate or less reactive metal...
    How to distinguish between such categories according to the standard reduction potential...
