The amount, clarity and applicability of the ideas in every single one of your videos is unbelievable. I feel like I discovered the cheat codes since finding your channel. Thank you !!

@@JeremySiskind I second that. It's like cheatcodes. Like could could read one's mind, know the things people have hard times figuring out and explaining them perfectly. Wow. Watched all your videos on embellishment, target notes, guide tone lines and it feels like a chapter I couldn't wrap my head around is clear now (and I got work to do :)).

Ah HAH!! I had previously discovered this “major 7th on a dominant chord (especially in the context of chromatic movement)” thing, and now for the first time ever, i encounter someone who touches upon it. Even though I thought it sounded good, I had shied away from it, thinking the jazz police were gonna come get me. I know it’s silly. But now I feel validated. Never gonna let the “rules” box me in again!

Nice to see guide tone 7/3 3/7 released to other chord tones utilized similarly .. not a new thing (innately in the jazz language if not defined that way ) but really a good reminder and of course your examples including the compound Melody are spot on and approachable and desirable. This is great !!

Yes indeed! It can be useful to think from the outside in rather than just simply left to right.
