Watched all your videos on embellishment, target notes, guide tone lines and it feels like a chapter I couldn't wrap my head around is clear now (and I got work to do :)).

I had previously discovered this “major 7th on a dominant chord (especially in the context of chromatic movement)” thing, and now for the first time ever, i encounter someone who touches upon it. Even though I thought it sounded good, I had shied away from it, thinking the jazz police were gonna come get me. I know it’s silly. But now I feel validated. Never gonna let the “rules” box me in again!
Nice to see guide tone 7/3 3/7 released to other chord tones utilized similarly .. not a new thing (innately in the jazz language if not defined that way ) but really a good reminder and of course your examples including the compound Melody are spot on and approachable and desirable. This is great !!
