Manhart MH8 800 - 300km/h in the World's MOST POWERFUL BMW M8!

- The Manhart MH8 800 is the world's most powerful BMW M8, so where better to head than the de-restricted German Autobahns! Reaching 300km/h with effortless ease, it truly demonstrates an immense capability for high speed travel while introducing a more aggressive look to the flagship BMW.
To create the MH8 800, Manhart have heavily reworked a BMW M8 Competition, with new turbos and downpipes along with a modified ECU that takes power from the standard 625hp and 750nm to 823hp and 1,050nm - a growth of 198hp and 300nm! As a result, the performance numbers are exceptional; 0-100km/h (62mph) is just 2.6s instead of the standard 3.2s, and then the 100-200 sprint is dispatched in only 5.5s.
In addition it's completed with Manhart's 21" Concave 1 wheels, KW springs 30mm lower than standard, new carbon pieces for example at the front grille, lower lip and rear aero pieces. The car is also fitted with an incredible valve controlled exhaust system, which is switched via the cruise control steering wheel toggles, which are also housed by new carbon inserts for the steering wheel.
Kicking off from the Manhart showroom, let's take a look around the car and the changes that have been made, before firing it up and getting it out to go for a test drive. Naturally the first destination is towards the Autobahn and some de-restricted sections to experience the power available. And it very much is, effortlessly pulling up to 300km/h in a way that even makes my SLS Black Series seem sluggish.
There is no doubt that this is the ultimate machine for barreling down the German motorways, travelling in style, comfort and with great pace in an effortless manor. The experience is actually quite remarkable as this is by no means a light weight car, but it gets a move on with an instant ease that is not normally seen.

andre castanho yeah, but he hit 300 and braked immediately. I live in Germany and my 17 mile commute to work is always empty and de restricted the whole way to work and all but about 5 miles going home. I drive 160-240 mostly the whole way in a bmw 330i. If you stay so far behind cars like he does they think it’s ok to stay in the left lane doing 100-120. Have to get closer so they know, get out of the way...
Canada needs the Autobahn but the vast majority of drivers here have no skill.

I made it a bit obvious didn't I! It's actually a customer car in for some work, and the only non-Manhart car in the showroom so I guess I was more focused on the cars they had done work to.

Nearly full at 2.30pm and just under half at 4pm, that's not too bad for the Autobahn! Hard to tell how far I had traveled in that time but I drove more than 200km in the car in total, a lot of it quite quickly ;)

The fact that this thing does 60 in 2.6 secs is incredible its in the territory of 720s and tesla and porsches in terms of acceleration! A drag between this and the 720s would be soo good to watch as the 720s destroys everything it goes against! But with m8 having the 4WD might be interesting what this thing does in a quater mile. Actually m8 competition claimed 3.2 seconds but when it was tested multiple times, it did 2.5 seconds. M5cs did 2.4

The performance from a 4.4 litre V8 is amazing. That size engine (displacement) is merely 288 cubic inches. I wonder what the results would be if BMW toyed with larger engines, say 400 cubic inches?

It's insane the acceleration rate of this MH8, when you see the car get to 250kmh like is nothing in a couple of seconds, that's when you realize it's a proper beast of a car.
Bib can see this car really coming into its own in the busy city streets of Berlin.
3:06 Loud? That's the quiet version with OPF and catalytic converters.They offer replacement parts for those parts of the exhaust but those are not approved for road use in Germany.
Yeah I know, the new sound regulations are a shame but we gotta make the best out of it and this MH800 sound very very good
