I don't think the Alfred WW tea scene was a 'mansplaining' situation - I think he was just uncomfortable not being in a 'butler' role- Especially to someone he knows is a legitimate princess (something he would highly regard as a brit)

I think superman broke that armour full of spikes ot atleast broke in some places where Arthur could get through with his spear I have to look the fight scene again but I'm pretty sure that's what happened Bc before Diana and Arthur couldn't get through But Clark was just beating him with his hands and laser eyes over and over again he was most definitely trying to break the armour of Steppenwolf and I think he did in some parts
The reason flash touches the girl gently is because he has to be careful manipulating things while in speed force otherwise he could literally explode her if he touched her the wrong way. that’s why they showed the shoes ripping and the concrete rippling as he moved
I actually liked that scene. I took barry's character as a shy introvert to begin with, so zack snyders idea to express how barry felt about this attractive woman with no words, but relishing every milisecond in her presence was a great idea to express that. It also told me how powerful he is for being able to save her without breaking a sweat at the same time! Great scene
I agree, I thought it was good myself. The scene seemed to be a setup for his own movie and his relationship with who I assume is Iris. Its as though hes this odd introvert but in the speedforce he gets to take things in and be himself without fear of being seen. He simply moves the hair outta her face to take a mental snapshot oh her.
His concern with Cyborg when Silas died and him indicating to Flash that he did care, and his banter with Flash was just beautiful and super endearing.
Whedon basically turned him into Chris Hemsworth Thor. The idiot. just rehashing everything he did in the Avengers. right down to the jokes, team banter and comedic moments
one of the rare scenes I miss from josstice league was aquaman sat on the lasso. was a great emotional character moment of his which he has zero in this new cut (he only had 1 in the other cut so not a massive downgrade).
I always wished Cyborg out of the film in Josstice League. I'm a casual fan. Didn't care how important he was; he just wasn't interesting. Just came off watching the Snyder Cut. Him and his father were among the best characters in the film. Him, his father, and The fucking Flash of all people. That reversal of time was absolutely stunning!

Supercharged Superman back to life, supercharged Cyborg into the Unity, saved probably a few hundred civilians, killed a good amount of Parademons, gave Wonder Woman her sword in a clutch fight against Steppenwolf, and reversed time itself to save the entire world when Darkseid took it. Yeah he didn't do anything.
It is world’s better. The snot nosed “critics” for certain online magazine outlets writing articles claiming it was the exact same movie with a few added scenes either A: Didn’t actually pay attention to the Whedon or this version, or B: Have absolutely zero interest in watching any comic book adaptation and were forced to do so for their “job”. I read one that made me laugh out loud when it said the opening scene proved to audiences that you needed to go back as far as Batman Forever to understand everything that was going on. This was by far the best DCEU movie to date and was so much better than Whedon’s version. Some may say WW is tops, but, for me, the climax of WW compared to the climax of Snyder’s JL do not compare. One is meh and the other was “holy shit I gotta see that again”. Snyder shined in that scene alone. The pacing, editing, shot selection, and the score was so much better. Having Supes still conflicted as the battle began and needing to get that final jolt from his fathers was much better than the “Loise make me weak in the knees, I must go save everyone now” flip of the switch that Whedon went with. Not having them win easily as soon as Supes shows up because Steppenwolf feared him and his minions attacked him because of it, actually having them fail, the world in the brink of being destroyed, and needing Barry to reverse time was a great scene to watch unfold. So much so I watched that scene three times before moving on to the epilogue. You get that rush of “oh shit, Supes is here. It’s about to get real”, followed by “oh shit, they’re not winning, what’ll they do now”, before going “OH SHIT BARRY IS REVERSING TIME!”
Nothing wrong with Alfred, he's a great guy. They are just forgetting his purpose. It's not to be smarter than Bruce Wayne, it's to offer moral support. Alfred in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight was always giving him life lessons and analogies. He is more of the guide on pulling Bruce together. To help Bruce gather his thoughts

Flash talking awkwardly to the lady at the dog place was a point of his plot. His dad wanted him to find a job and Flash wanted to make his dad proud but was having trouble finding a job. That scene is just an example of an interview gone bad
I think black suit was meant for healing as like in the comic books . He chose that suit instead of the standard blue one. Then he flew towards the sun first before going to Alfred. The logic is due to the black color's nature that it absorbs light. So this suit absorbs more sun light ultimately making him stronger or in this case recovering from death.
that is actually the exact opposite of logical: if superman's body needs to absorb the energy from the sun, then a transparent/translucent suit is what makes the most sense since it will allow the sun's rays to go through it

I actually preferred the team dynamic and interaction in the Snyder cut. Binge watched the entire saga today and I loved it! Bravo Zack! He deserves so much respect. Most people don't even know that he's not making a single dime from this and only did it because he thinks the fans deserve better.

It actually felt like a team this time around. Everyone had a clear role, collaborated well, Snyder was particularly better at directing their fights. They also each felt more consistent with their own characters - none of the weird ticks that Whedon put added to em in the theatrical cut

Clark choosing to take the first encounter with Zodd from the cornfields of Smallville RIGHT INTO THE HEART OF THE TOWN. The flip flop of Clark "I need to lay low" but also "I need to save people". Let's talk about how two random soldiers happen to walk into the ONE BAR CLARK IS WORKING AT and he overhears the exact information he needs to find a downed Kryptonian ship. The Kryptonian ship had apparently been on earth for 20,000 years.... and was later confirmed to have been the ship that Supergirl crashed in.... SO SHE IS DEAD. Is that enough reason for the movie to be considered 5/10? Because I have a few more on top of this.

At the start of the film, in the village, the girl is singing and she is taking Aquaman’s shirt is because they basically worship him, he is a god of the sea to them. They are an Aquaman cult and that’s why the chief tries make Bruce to leave: to protect Arthur.
OK, why was that necessary to put in there? Does it add anything to the movie? No, its just Zack Snyder continuing his Superman is God theme only with Aquaman. And Bruce still finds him so it was pointless.

I didn't actually interpret the flash scene as groping. I thought he was just being very gentle so as not to, you know, rip her arms off because he's working with ridiculous amounts of energy.
I just remembered Quicksilver saying when he held Magneto's head that he had to hold him so he doesn't get whiplash. That is what I took from that Flash scene, he gently put her down.

Yeah, he basically hit the bullet instead of the other way around. It's the equivalent to throwing a rubber band into a fan blade on max speed. There is a such thing as too fast.
That's why the one para-demon kept getting focused on, he was learning the timing of Flash's passes. The idea being they took so long to bring Barry in that one of the grunts got a lucky shot after figuring out how much to lead his target.
Martian Manhunter made Lois go back into the world to help with Clark because he knows the Earth needs Superman more than him. If Lois never had that conversation she wouldn’t be at the memorial to stop Clark’s wrath

In defence of the parademon hitting the Flash. He was going so fast that he practically existed in every point of that circle he was running, so the parademon just had to shoot one point of the circle and then Flash ran into the blast zone.

The comment on the Martian Manhunter scene. I felt this served 2 mechanics, 1. It was a refresher for the audience on this character's connection to Superman and Lois in MOS and BVS. He was a dick in MOS to Superman when the whole time he has been observing him on Earth because he's an alien hiding from the world and discovers there's another alien being even more powerful than himself. 2. Because of their connected stories in MOS and BVS, MMH knows that Lois is deeply scarred by Clark's death and he takes the most comfortable form for her to cope both to get her motivated to work again. In addition, he wants keep her distracted knowing that they are going to have to resurrect Clark when she's clearly not ready for that. Add to the fact that they teased about them having a baby and how she would feel that all people of Batman would want to bring him back to life after what he did to him in BVS. It's very subtle nods that showcase Snyder's care for his vision of this trilogy.

i felt that this was better on average than the Avengers movies,i liked the fighting way more here it felt more real. while Avengers feel like how the fighting would be form a kids prespective with dolls.
Batman did strategize the plans throughout. The reason why it works for Batman to not be the confident guy he was is because you're dealing with a vulnerable "i made mistakes" Batman. Like anyone who has lost A LOT of people and feel maybe guilty for it as well as guilty for how they allowed vengeance to overtake them...This is low key a Bruce saying "I apologize" throughout the movie and reclaiming the trust he needs from people.
I like this Alfred and Bruce where they feel more like equals. Not like a Sherlock explaining to Watson. Makes me sad we won’t see this Batman anymore.

Flash was suppose to awkward and make us feel awkward, even his dad in the movie was basically telling him to get a life. Notice how Flash started to calm down and actually gotten better communicating, even though he slips every now and then.

In X-men First Class, when Quicksilver breaks Magneto out from that compound, the guards in the room in that one scene would explode from the sheer force extruded from his speed.

He’s awkward because he’s reacting instinctively, which is why the speed force kicked in as soon as he sensed danger. By the time he had time to think about it, that’s when he realizes he revealed himself to Iris and jets out of there.

The fact that he looked unprepared and a lil awkward on his interview shows he wasnt succesful in the other jobs he applied. He cant just get multiple jobs while studying. That was the reason his father was shocked when Barry announce he has a job job related to Criminal Justice Studies. Because he finally nailed one.

In every timeline, Barry and Iris always find one another, and there's this pull on them. It's explained in the comics, and Snyder said that there would be comic callbacks in his version of Justice League.
You guys completely missed the point of why the flash was taking his time saving that girl, imagine just straight up grabbing/pulling/pushing someone at that speed, it would tear someone apart. IT WAS LITERALLY shown in the scene where they went to recuse Cyborg's dad, the Flash saw a parademon land in-front of him, he hesitated for a second and just "pushed" it, the parademon went splat on a wall. Do you want that girl end up the same?

Yeah. Moments ago he literally destroyes the glass door by pushing it with his finger. Imagine what had happened to the girl if he had been a bit rougher on her :D It would've been the Boys all over again.
That part was fine. They just turned out creepy with him touching her hair for no reason. But the setup for the scene was stupid. A guy in a giant truck barreling down a road just doesn't look where he's driving for a whole minute. And iris does the same, drivers of starting at Barry and not looking where she's driving. That was very snyder style. Cool looking scene that is just terribly written
I completely buy that the parademon could hit Barry when he's literally running in circles lmao. At first it was frantically shooting at this guy who seems to be everywhere at once, but then the camera stays on its face for a second. It was thinking "oh he's just going in a circle at the speed of light basically. If I just shoot in his path, he has to hit it."
Logically if you run at speed of light Ina circle you are basically at every point of that circle. So even if the paradenon had shot anywhere in the circle he would have hit Barry
To me it's the way I decide for a game or a movie: if the spoiler gets me stoked to watch/play myself I know that the media is if great then at least fun. So far I haven't been wrong.
He wasn't Darkseid in the flashback scene against the old gods. He was Uxas. Uxas was powerful, but nowhere near as powerful as he was when he became Darkseid.
This movie makes me hate Hollywood. This version of justice league was epic and makes me want to see Dark Side. Unfortunately we will never get it. I can’t believe 2 versions of the same movie can be so different. Josh’s version is the equivalent of Michael bays version of Titanic vs the original. I’ll watch a 4 hour movie like this. This makes me want to see more DC Universe movies. Dammit man...

@@Soccercrazyigboman His sword has a Halo emblem (if I recall it started in H2). It's Rhas Al Ghul/league symbol but started from Halo or looks extremely similar to it.
There is a scene at the final battle when the portal is open and it shows Darkseid in a pose with his hands are behind his back, it is a milli second but if you watch closely you can see it.

She was about to do it wrong and he corrected her. I like the guys, but sometimes I wonder how much they actually pay attention to the things they watch with as many details as they get wrong.
Yeah, she's 5000 years old, but for 4,890 ish of those years, she was stuck on a single island with no contact with the outside world. I seriously doubt they had access to the same kind of tea or ever brewed tea the same way the English do. I am 35 years old and love hot tea, but I couldn't brew a proper cuppa if my life depended on it. It was simply a scene with an Englishman, a butler no less, being triggered because someone was attempting to brew tea incorrectly. People need to stop with the mansplaining crap and actually think before reacting.
Plus.....HE IS THE BUTLER. It sounds like these guys are nit-picking random scenes. Alfred is used to doing that kind of stuff....and especially since Diana is royalty....he probably felt very inclined to do it for her.
That parademon shooting the flash makes all the sense... Flash is going so fast that he's occupying every point in the loop he's running... The parademon literally couldn't miss.
That bomb had a 4 block radius explosion, woulda killed 100s if not a few thousand... so she kills the bad guy buy literally vaporizing his ass for even thinking of doing that & trying... loved it wonderwoman is nice but she can kill u if she wants... he chowse death

Someone else may have mentioned this but the reason Superman turns evil in the dream sequence had nothing to do with the mother box resurrection, and he wasn't even using the black suit there. He turns to Darkseid's side because of the death of Lois. You can see he is holding her burnt up corpse when Darkseid touches his shoulder. That's why Lois is the key.

Yeah. In BvS, Flash time-travelled to warn Bruce even if Flash at the time thought he was too early with his warning as the invasion wasn't happening yet. But that was enough to get Bruce interested in investigating and probably enough to change the timeline considerably to some direction. The post-apocalyptic earth that we see in Wayne's premonitions might be of the timeline that Flash travelled back from to warn Bruce, or the future of the current timeline. Anyway, things changed the moment Flash contacted Bruce in BvS.
A scene like that sounded cool, but man the writing was awful. Only good parts are when Batman does threaten Joker and he reacts. You can tell there is vad writing in a scene when a character has nothing to say for a while, and when one just never shuts up, seen when reaction shots of batman are shown and he just stays quiet, letting Joker keep going with his rambling with no counter for most of the conversation.

This "review" is why I can't take internet reviews seriously, everyone here just nods and agrees with each other on the scenes they like and dislike, with almost no disagreements. Doesn't help that Joe's bias to Superman clouds his judgment throughout this entire film - claiming he doesn't even want to see more because Supes may stay evil from the Knightmare scene? Just judge the film on its own merits.

If WW can keep up with bullets, it should be easy for the Flash to see and dodge any projectile, but I guess he was blinded by his own light streak, idk.

In the scene were Barry saves Iris West, Barry wears his Flash shoes and in his anxiety to save her he destroys the shoes. He did not groped her, he carefully put her down to NOT kill her with his powers (not only his speed but also the lightning). The accident wasn’t the fault of Iris AT ALL but of the truck driver. The love song played because Iris West is not only Barry’s love of his life but truly an integral part of what makes Flash The Flash as an inspiration instead of just a superpowered human. It’s a very important scene about Barry because in that scene we see both Barry the person and Barry the superhero but not The Flash yet.

I actually liked that scene. I took barry's character as a shy introvert to begin with, so zack snyders idea to express how barry felt about this attractive woman with no words, but relishing every milisecond in her presence was a great idea to express that. It also told me how powerful he is for being able to save her without breaking a sweat at the same time! Great scene

The big surprise for me this time around (besides Cyborg) was Aquaman, I gave zero fucks about him in Josstice League (didn't even bother going to see his solo film) but in this version I kind of liked him.

Supercharged Superman back to life, supercharged Cyborg into the Unity, saved probably a few hundred civilians, killed a good amount of Parademons, gave Wonder Woman her sword in a clutch fight against Steppenwolf, and reversed time itself to save the entire world when Darkseid took it.

It is world’s better. The snot nosed “critics” for certain online magazine outlets writing articles claiming it was the exact same movie with a few added scenes either A: Didn’t actually pay attention to the Whedon or this version, or B: Have absolutely zero interest in watching any comic book adaptation and were forced to do so for their “job”. I read one that made me laugh out loud when it said the opening scene proved to audiences that you needed to go back as far as Batman Forever to understand everything that was going on. This was by far the best DCEU movie to date and was so much better than Whedon’s version. Some may say WW is tops, but, for me, the climax of WW compared to the climax of Snyder’s JL do not compare. One is meh and the other was “holy shit I gotta see that again”. Snyder shined in that scene alone. The pacing, editing, shot selection, and the score was so much better. Having Supes still conflicted as the battle began and needing to get that final jolt from his fathers was much better than the “Loise make me weak in the knees, I must go save everyone now” flip of the switch that Whedon went with. Not having them win easily as soon as Supes shows up because Steppenwolf feared him and his minions attacked him because of it, actually having them fail, the world in the brink of being destroyed, and needing Barry to reverse time was a great scene to watch unfold. So much so I watched that scene three times before moving on to the epilogue. You get that rush of “oh shit, Supes is here. It’s about to get real”, followed by “oh shit, they’re not winning, what’ll they do now”, before going “OH SHIT BARRY IS REVERSING TIME!”

I think black suit was meant for healing as like in the comic books . He chose that suit instead of the standard blue one. Then he flew towards the sun first before going to Alfred. The logic is due to the black color's nature that it absorbs light. So this suit absorbs more sun light ultimately making him stronger or in this case recovering from death.

that is actually the exact opposite of logical: if superman's body needs to absorb the energy from the sun, then a transparent/translucent suit is what makes the most sense since it will allow the sun's rays to go through it

At the start of the film, in the village, the girl is singing and she is taking Aquaman’s shirt is because they basically worship him, he is a god of the sea to them. They are an Aquaman cult and that’s why the chief tries make Bruce to leave: to protect Arthur.
OK, why was that necessary to put in there? Does it add anything to the movie? No, its just Zack Snyder continuing his Superman is God theme only with Aquaman. And Bruce still finds him so it was pointless.

In defence of the parademon hitting the Flash. He was going so fast that he practically existed in every point of that circle he was running, so the parademon just had to shoot one point of the circle and then Flash ran into the blast zone.

The comment on the Martian Manhunter scene. I felt this served 2 mechanics,
1. It was a refresher for the audience on this character's connection to Superman and Lois in MOS and BVS. He was a dick in MOS to Superman when the whole time he has been observing him on Earth because he's an alien hiding from the world and discovers there's another alien being even more powerful than himself.
2. Because of their connected stories in MOS and BVS, MMH knows that Lois is deeply scarred by Clark's death and he takes the most comfortable form for her to cope both to get her motivated to work again. In addition, he wants keep her distracted knowing that they are going to have to resurrect Clark when she's clearly not ready for that. Add to the fact that they teased about them having a baby and how she would feel that all people of Batman would want to bring him back to life after what he did to him in BVS. It's very subtle nods that showcase Snyder's care for his vision of this trilogy.

Part of why we love Alfred so much is the way he is a natural foil to Bruce. A Bruce without Alfred is a bad thing.

i felt that this was better on average than the Avengers movies,i liked the fighting way more here it felt more real. while Avengers feel like how the fighting would be form a kids prespective with dolls.
Batman did strategize the plans throughout. The reason why it works for Batman to not be the confident guy he was is because you're dealing with a vulnerable "i made mistakes" Batman. Like anyone who has lost A LOT of people and feel maybe guilty for it as well as guilty for how they allowed vengeance to overtake them...This is low key a Bruce saying "I apologize" throughout the movie and reclaiming the trust he needs from people.
I like this Alfred and Bruce where they feel more like equals. Not like a Sherlock explaining to Watson. Makes me sad we won’t see this Batman anymore.

You guys completely missed the point of why the flash was taking his time saving that girl, imagine just straight up grabbing/pulling/pushing someone at that speed, it would tear someone apart. IT WAS LITERALLY shown in the scene where they went to recuse Cyborg's dad, the Flash saw a parademon land in-front of him, he hesitated for a second and just "pushed" it, the parademon went splat on a wall. Do you want that girl end up the same?

There is a scene at the final battle when the portal is open and it shows Darkseid in a pose with his hands are behind his back, it is a milli second but if you watch closely you can see it.

Yeah, she's 5000 years old, but for 4,890 ish of those years, she was stuck on a single island with no contact with the outside world. I seriously doubt they had access to the same kind of tea or ever brewed tea the same way the English do. I am 35 years old and love hot tea, but I couldn't brew a proper cuppa if my life depended on it. It was simply a scene with an Englishman, a butler no less, being triggered because someone was attempting to brew tea incorrectly. People need to stop with the mansplaining crap and actually think before reacting.
Plus.....HE IS THE BUTLER. It sounds like these guys are nit-picking random scenes. Alfred is used to doing that kind of stuff....and especially since Diana is royalty....he probably felt very inclined to do it for her.
That parademon shooting the flash makes all the sense... Flash is going so fast that he's occupying every point in the loop he's running... The parademon literally couldn't miss.

Someone else may have mentioned this but the reason Superman turns evil in the dream sequence had nothing to do with the mother box resurrection, and he wasn't even using the black suit there. He turns to Darkseid's side because of the death of Lois. You can see he is holding her burnt up corpse when Darkseid touches his shoulder. That's why Lois is the key.
They have completely missed out key visual moments that for the life of me can't figure out how or why

Yeah. In BvS, Flash time-travelled to warn Bruce even if Flash at the time thought he was too early with his warning as the invasion wasn't happening yet. But that was enough to get Bruce interested in investigating and probably enough to change the timeline considerably to some direction. The post-apocalyptic earth that we see in Wayne's premonitions might be of the timeline that Flash travelled back from to warn Bruce, or the future of the current timeline. Anyway, things changed the moment Flash contacted Bruce in BvS.

A scene like that sounded cool, but man the writing was awful. Only good parts are when Batman does threaten Joker and he reacts. You can tell there is vad writing in a scene when a character has nothing to say for a while, and when one just never shuts up, seen when reaction shots of batman are shown and he just stays quiet, letting Joker keep going with his rambling with no counter for most of the conversation.

This "review" is why I can't take internet reviews seriously, everyone here just nods and agrees with each other on the scenes they like and dislike, with almost no disagreements. Doesn't help that Joe's bias to Superman clouds his judgment throughout this entire film - claiming he doesn't even want to see more because Supes may stay evil from the Knightmare scene? Just judge the film on its own merits.

41:25 This moment actually made perfect sense to me and was pretty cool. Once Flash began moving at around the speed of light in a circle, he was basically at every single point of the circle at any given moment. At that point, it would have been nearly impossible to miss him
If WW can keep up with bullets, it should be easy for the Flash to see and dodge any projectile, but I guess he was blinded by his own light streak, idk.
@@mihai10stoica WW was expecting those bullets and tracked them on purpose, Flash was concentrated on running and did not look around, and I doubt he would notice a single cannon aiming at him from hundreds of meters away.

In the scene were Barry saves Iris West, Barry wears his Flash shoes and in his anxiety to save her he destroys the shoes. He did not groped her, he carefully put her down to NOT kill her with his powers (not only his speed but also the lightning). The accident wasn’t the fault of Iris AT ALL but of the truck driver. The love song played because Iris West is not only Barry’s love of his life but truly an integral part of what makes Flash The Flash as an inspiration instead of just a superpowered human. It’s a very important scene about Barry because in that scene we see both Barry the person and Barry the superhero but not The Flash yet.

@@lucyblu3129 Iris has been light browned skinned in a few different adaptations of the flash recently. Especially the most popular one on the CW. It’s kind of implied. It was corny I’ll admit but the flash is just as corny on the CW and people love it.
I think Jared had a more sinister tone when talking with batman. His laugh might be due to the toll the apocalypse had taken upon him. But the way he said "don't send a boy wonder...to do a man's job" was pretty fucking chilling.
