Mayor Sarah that time are attending to residents affected by the flood and she only need a couple of hours to arrive and personally negotiate with the settler cause they listen to her. The sheriff did not listen to Mayor Duterte plea and instead ordered condemnation causing havor and chaos to the said premises. Who wouldn't be angry by that unjustified actions? The sheriff took a group of people from another area who happens to be enemies of the teens of that area and that could possibly cause bloody war. If the Mayor didn't stop the sheriff by making her own scene the people could have been fighting. Moreover, the owner did not find a relocation for the poor families living in that area, then where will these people go? Her barbaric action was her only choice to have their attention and to protect those two groups from starting a war. I was there.

Although I agree with everyone who says that she shouldn't have punched the Sheriff, she even stated herself on another interview that her action wasn't justified and that she went to the scene hot headed. And people should know what Davao City and the Mayor is going through right now, floods and other shit, this should not have been an additional problem had the sheriff waited for the mayor before the demolition began.

Mayor Sarah that time are attending to residents affected by the flood and she only need a couple of hours to arrive and personally negotiate with the settler cause they listen to her. The sheriff did not listen to Mayor Duterte plea and instead ordered condemnation causing havor and chaos to the said premises. Who wouldn't be angry by that unjustified actions? Sheriff doesn't listen to the people's plea, Sarah did the right thing, if the authority has no empathy to the poor, might as well impose to them their own medicine.
Let us not forget that after this incident, yung mga squatters peacefully left the area. They even helped dismantle their shanties. That's Real leadership shown on the ground.

5. At kahit na ipalagay nating may kamalian ang sheriff ay hindi pa rin tama at labag pa rin sa batas na bogbogin siya ni Sarah.
Kung ang sheriff ay nagkasala dapat siyang akusahan sa tamang administrative body o sa hukuman at hindi pwedeng bugbugin at lapastanganin ang kanyang dignidad bilang court employee at bilang tao.
6. Sa batas ang pambobogbog ng kapwa tao ay maging tama lamang kung ito ay kinakailangan bilang self defense, defense of third person or to avoid a greater evil halimbawa to avoid an accident ay tinulak mo. Kung walang threat at hindi nanlaban ay may pananagutan ang nambogbog criminal o civil lalo na pag may physical injuries kahit light lang tulad ng bruises, scratch mark etc.
